Krillin pulled over two chairs and had Bulma and Oryon sit down.
Just then, a familiar voice drifted in from outside the window.
“Grandpa, Krillin, are you two doing all right?”
Oryon, closest to the door, was the first to open it.
Standing right there were Son Goku, Gohan, and Chi-Chi — the whole family of three, right at the doorway.
Gohan looked a little shy, hiding behind Chi-Chi and sneaking glances at everyone.
Master Roshi laughed.
“Ah, Goku, Chi-Chi — the two of you actually came together! Come in, come in. Knowing you were coming, Lunch has been cooking for ages. I guarantee you’ll eat your fill!”
Krillin looked at Gohan, then at Goku and Chi-Chi, and asked in surprise.
“Goku, Chi-Chi, is this your kid?”
Goku nodded with a beaming smile, then started coaxing Gohan forward.
“Come on, Gohan, say hi to everyone…”
Gohan looked around at everyone, a bit nervous, and forced out a few words.
“H-hello, everyone. I’m Gohan. Nice to meet you…”
Hearing the name, Master Roshi froze for a moment.
“His name is Son Gohan?”
Son Goku nodded.
“Yep!”
“Did you name him after your late grandfather?”
Chi-Chi chimed in.
“Yeah, it was Goku’s idea — to remember his grandpa who passed away.”
Krillin let out a wistful sigh.
“The two of us grew up together, trained together… and now Goku’s kid is already this big, while I’m still single. I’m so pathetic…”
Bulma crouched down and looked at Gohan.
“Little Gohan, how old are you?”
Gohan held up four fingers.
“Four!”
Bulma patted his head, smiling.
“So polite! Way more polite than your dad was at your age!”
Chi-Chi laughed proudly.
“Of course. My Gohan’s going to be a scholar when he grows up. I’ve been teaching him manners the whole time.”
Bulma nodded, praising her.
“Unbelievable — the clueless little Chi-Chi from back then really did grow up into a wonderful mother!”
Chi-Chi blushed, a little bashful.
“Oh, stop, you’re making me embarrassed. I’m really not that good a mother…”
Bulma laughed again.
“I know exactly how mischievous Goku was as a kid — I never imagined his child would turn out like this. Getting him raised this well must be all thanks to you…”
Chi-Chi grinned.
Lunch walked over to Bulma, smiling.
“Do you like kids, Bulma? Then why haven’t you two hurried up and had one yourselves?”
Bulma’s mouth twitched, and she quickly explained.
“We… we haven’t had enough fun yet, just the two of us. Give it a couple years, a couple more years…”
“Come on, now that everyone’s here, let’s head inside and eat!”
Goku laughed.
“Perfect timing — food the moment we arrive. My stomach’s growling.”
The words had barely left his mouth when a powerful presence drew near.
Goku sensed it first and whipped around.
“What’s wrong, Goku?”
Cold sweat broke out on Goku’s forehead.
“Feels like someone’s coming.”
“Is it Tien Shinhan and Chiaotzu?”
Lunch shook her head.
“We couldn’t reach them. They shouldn’t be coming today.”
As the presence drew closer, more sweat beaded on Goku’s forehead.
“Such a fearsome presence. I can feel his power is far beyond mine — just who in the world is this?”
Oryon’s expression tightened.
It had to be Raditz.
He’d only just arrived here — when it came to fighting, he’d be no help at all!
Wait.
Actually, he probably shouldn’t help anyway.
Sure, Goku was about to die today, but any transmigrator worth their salt knew this death was actually a stroke of luck for Son Goku — only by dying could he go learn martial arts from King Kai.
The thought cleared Oryon’s mind at once.
He absolutely could not ruin Goku’s opportunity.
With Goku around, he himself could live an easy life in this Dragon Ball world.
So Oryon quietly slipped back behind everyone else.
Just then, as he drew close to the blue-haired Lunch, she sneezed abruptly, and her hair turned gold in an instant.
The blonde Lunch’s eyes were full of wildness, every motion radiating sultry heat.
Seeing Oryon up close, she’d lost every trace of the shy blue-haired demeanor from a moment ago, sizing him up with an almost brazen once-over.
“Hey, so you’re Bulma’s new boyfriend?”
Oryon looked at Lunch, faintly caught off guard.
“Ah, yeah — I’m her boyfriend…”
As he answered, Oryon sized Lunch up in turn.
Sure, she was all wild and sultry right now, but as her blue-haired self she could switch instantly to a gentle, gracious personality.
Add to that her top-tier figure and exquisite face — she was in no way inferior to Bulma, honestly.
As their eyes met, Lunch asked curiously.
“Handsome, how long have you and Bulma been together?”
Oryon scratched his head.
“Just a few days. Why do you ask…”
Lunch’s expression instantly brightened.
“Just a few days?”
Oryon nodded.
“Yeah. Is something wrong?”
Lunch shyly brushed back a strand of golden hair, a blush rising on her cheeks, and asked.
“Then how about you break up with Bulma and date me instead?”
Oryon’s expression froze.
“Ah — that’s a bit too direct, isn’t it? I mean, me and Bulma…”
Oryon trailed off.
Sure, he and Bulma were only acting for today — after today he’d be free.
But a person had to have some principles.
He couldn’t undercut her right now, not like this…
Lunch caught his hesitation instantly and burst out, excited.
“Say yes! I’ll rob a bank to support you!”
