After sorting his thoughts and clearing his goal, Zukishi’s heart calmed down considerably.

He finally came to accept the fact that there was no turning back.

And if he wanted to survive, he needed to grow strong.Full novel: Dragon Ball: Starting As a High Class Warrior — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

That, and one more thing.

This was a franchise called Dragon Ball.

So, the key to achieving what he wanted was to find the dragon balls and summon the dragon to grant wishes.

What he knew about them was that there were 4 locations where he could find them.

Depending on the memories from his previous life, he knew that there was the Daima (demon) realm — out of the question.

There was Namek.

There was Cereal.

And there was Earth.

With his power level, he could simply go to Earth and blitz through its weaker fighters and take the dragon balls for himself.

But the thing was, planet Earth was quite far.

It would take more than a year to reach there, considering how slow the Saiyan pods were at this point in the story — this generation seemed to be quite slower than in the canon one, considering that Frieza’s father was still ruling over the galaxy.

Not to mention, according to his memories, Zukishi was being suppressed by King Vegeta, who feared for his throne and was suppressing the high-class warriors who weren’t in his faction.

Despite being the king, he had only a power level of 10,000.

There were warriors who surpassed him, and they were from mid and lower class — true warriors, by the way.

Yet, mysteriously, they vanished.

Zukishi thought Namek was quite weak.

And Cereal seemed to be a good option.

“And I need to not use my tail.

It hinders my growth.

Though, I may keep it.

Who knows, I may skip all the way to SSJ4.” He sighed deeply.

“As for the dragon balls on Namek, I think one should defeat the warriors from their villages to get them.

Anyways, I’ll think of a good sequence of wishes…”

“And I need to learn the Namekian language.

There should be a version of Dolingo in this world that penetrates through the brain?

After I’m done, I’ll overthrow King Vegeta.

But even if I got strong, I still need good followers.

I don’t have endless stamina anyways and can’t do everything.” He made his last thought before the other two Saiyans approached.

Just as he was thinking, the two other Saiyans came back.

The girl gave him a snarl before a shy smile with rosy cheeks.

Zukishi would have smiled and tried his luck if he hadn’t witnessed a whole civilization being wiped out by beams shot out of her mouth.

Maro nodded at him while holding a massive bag over his shoulder.

“This is our part of the spoils… so, how do we divide it?” asked Maro.

“Since you guys did most of the job, take 60 percent, split it among yourselves.

I’ll take 20, and the rest will be given to the planet.” He said, remembering that they had to share a part of their spoils with planet Vegeta.

The two smiled and laughed evilly, clearly happy about what they got.

“Does having an evil laugh is a part of being a Saiyan?” he thought to himself.

“Enjoy it, uncle Maro.

I know you need it more.” Replied Zukishi.

“Hahaha.

So, that’s what you have been planning all along.

You had us worried for a second when you stood at a daze.

I thought some psychic got ya!” Maro laughed.

Despite looking young in his twenties, he was in fact in his forties.

That’s why Zukishi called him uncle.

In the Saiyan race, people look the same age until they were about 80 years old.

The only way one could tell another’s age is if they started balding or growing beards.

Zukishi thought that slow aging was one of the best perks of being a Saiyan.

It means you can date a girl, and she’d look youthful for a long time.

Sala approached with a bunch of meat that she seemed to have looted.

She used her Ki to cook it before distributing it away.

“It’s not as good as being cooked in an oven.

But it’s what we have,” she said confidently, not seeming to be afraid to offend a high-class warrior.

She, in fact, handed it to him in his hand and said, “Eat to your full and don’t leave a thing.”

Then, she turned and gave Maro a plate with a smile on her face and said, “Enjoy it.”

It seemed that passive-aggressive behavior was exclusive to him.

He sighed.

It’s not like he’d be offended by a girl acting rough.

In their culture, it’s called flirting.

Or acting cute, no difference from a normal human male acting tougher than he’s in front of a girl.

Zukishi shook his head slightly and started eating.

Despite how many bites he took, he never seemed to get full.

It amazed him how he ate an amount bigger than his upper body, and his stomach didn’t bulge much.

“Thanks, Sala.

It was delicious,” he said as he stood up.

Sala smiled, “I’m glad you liked… I mean —” she suddenly deadpanned, “Whatever.”

‘As much as I’d like to discover the romance side and breeding ritual of the monkeys, I’ve got more important matters to put my head into.’ He thought as he headed to his space pod, before pausing for a second, ‘Why am I sounding like Frieza?

Whatever.’ He got into his space pod, which closed.

He looked around, to see a bunch of buttons.

A screen with a foreign language appeared.

He understood every part of it.

He navigated through it and chose planet Vegeta to get back into.

The spaceship floated and moved at a speed that surpassed light, moving between the planets.

He closed his eyes, wondering how his pod would react in case of a stray comet.

But he remembered that they had an autopilot, and Sala’s pod had a navigating feature to control their pods.

She and Maro were both low class warriors.

For that reason, they had additional skills besides fighting.

One was a navigator, and the other was a mechanics genius who could build spaceships and fix them if they ever had to.

‘Anyways, first thing first, I need to find out what time I am at.

DBZ canon-wise, Goku was sent as an infant.

DBS new canon-wise, Goku was around 3-4 years old.

I’ll find planet Cereal.

If there are dragon balls there… I’ll go with the assumption that planet Vegeta gets destroyed by the time Goku is three years old.

So, now, I need to find Bardock and his son’s age.

‘From what I heard, he’s a genius scientist, so I have a good reason to see him.

‘That man, despite being called a low-class warrior, he’s a high power level, even higher than mine.

Makes you wonder how Raditz calls himself a high-class warrior.

That guy literally always hides behind Vegeta and Nappa, which is why he never grew.

‘The more I think about it, the more I realize that I need a specific training plan to increase my power level and abandon my tail I have already formed two good ideas about it.’

He thought as he swagged his tail.

Although it was strange, controlling it felt natural.

The tip appeared in front of him, and he smirked slowly.

‘Yep, a very good ideas….’
