Standing next to him, Goten instantly understood what he meant.

The two boys immediately struck the poses for the Fusion Dance, ready to fuse.

Seeing this, Bulma quickly stepped in.Full novel: Dragon Ball Super: The Lazy Master Gets Double Rewards — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

“Trunks, stop!” She rushed forward and grabbed her son’s arm.

She knew perfectly well that if Vegeta had been swatted away with a single flick of a finger, then even if Trunks and Goten fused into Gotenks, they wouldn’t stand a chance against Alex.

It would just end with another casual finger flick.

Krillin looked over at Piccolo standing nearby.

“Piccolo, what do we do now?”

Piccolo stared intently at Alex, analyzing the situation.

“He doesn’t seem to have any malicious intent!”

Master Roshi nodded in agreement.

“I have to agree.

I don’t sense any hostility from him.”

Right at that moment, two more figures flew in from the distance—one tall and bald, the other small and pale.

The group recognized them instantly.

It was Tien and Chiaotzu.

No one was surprised to see them.

Whenever a crisis occurred on Earth, the Z Fighters always showed up immediately to help however they could.

Krillin blinked in surprise.

“Wait, what are Tien and Chiaotzu doing?” They all watched as the two martial artists flew straight toward Alex.

Were they planning to fight him?

But if even Vegeta wasn’t a match for him, wouldn’t Tien and Chiaotzu just be throwing their lives away?

Krillin quickly called out, “Tien!

Chiaotzu!

Get back here!”

Tien looked over at Krillin and gave him a polite smile.

Then, he turned to Alex and bowed respectfully.

“Master, what happened here?”

A collective wave of imaginary question marks flashed over the group.

Everyone froze, utterly stunned.

What did Tien and Chiaotzu just call him?

‘Did I hear that right?

Did they just call him Master?’

Krillin and the others exchanged bewildered glances, confirming with each other that their ears weren’t playing tricks on them.

Tien really had just called this terrifying stranger his master.

Alex smiled faintly.

“It’s nothing,” he replied, letting his Super Saiyan God transformation fade away.

The blazing crimson aura vanished.

Tien turned to the group and smiled.

“Hey everyone.

This is my master, Alex.”

Tien had been in the middle of training when the sky suddenly warped, displaying a breathtaking projection of the cosmos bathed in crimson light.

As soon as they arrived, Tien had spotted Alex in his Super Saiyan God form.

‘So incredibly cool!’ Tien had thought.

The sheer, unfathomable pressure radiating from his master was so intense that just a single glance from him felt like it could shatter a person’s resolve.

Hearing Tien’s introduction, the group finally let out a collective sigh of relief.

This guy really didn’t have any bad intentions.

But then, why had he clashed with Vegeta?

Master Roshi and the others flew over, still intensely curious.

“Hello there, Alex!” Roshi greeted.

“Hello, Master Roshi, Krillin,” Alex replied smoothly.

His gaze then drifted to Android 18 standing next to Krillin.

Seeing her in person for the first time was visually striking.

With her perfectly sculpted features, piercing blue eyes, and slender yet athletic figure, she was breathtakingly beautiful.

She easily rivaled Bulma in terms of looks; if one really had to compare, they simply had entirely different, distinct charms.

But Alex only allowed himself a brief glance before politely shifting his attention back and greeting the rest of the group one by one.

Everyone was genuinely surprised that this stranger already knew all their names.

“Wait, Tien,” Krillin asked, scratching his head.

“Isn’t your master supposed to be Master Shen from the Crane School?

When did you get a new one?”

Tien gave a simple explanation.

“Master Shen was my master in the past, but Alex is my master now.

Under his guidance, my strength has improved astronomically.”

In the world of martial arts, there was no strict rule saying a fighter could only have one master in their lifetime.

As long as both parties agreed, one could seek out new teachers.

The group discreetly probed Tien’s ki.

Sure enough, his aura was exponentially more powerful than before.

It made sense—if a monster like Alex was personally instructing him, a massive power boost was inevitable.

Just then, Vegeta flew back in from the distance.

Seeing Krillin, Piccolo, and the others casually chatting with Alex left him incredibly annoyed.

However, vividly remembering the horrifying gap in their combat power, he wisely chose to keep his mouth shut and touched down silently.

Down on the ground, Bulma waved up at them.

“Why don’t you all come down here and chat?!”

The group exchanged glances.

Hovering in the sky forever was a bit awkward, so they agreed it was better to sit down and talk properly.

Alex was the first to descend.

Truthfully, Alex had always planned on befriending the main cast, he just hadn’t expected it to happen under these specific circumstances.

He landed gracefully in the Capsule Corp garden, and the rest of the group quickly joined him, taking seats around the patio.

Bulma was the first to speak up, offering another apology.

“I’m so sorry again, Alex.

Vegeta is just…

too impulsive.” She smiled warmly.

“I never would have guessed you were Tien’s master.”

Sitting off to the side, Vegeta crossed his arms and glared at the floor, looking thoroughly displeased.

Alex laughed lightly, completely unbothered.

“It’s fine!”

Plus, handing the arrogant prince a slice of humble pie now would only make it easier to recruit him as a disciple later.

Piccolo suddenly glanced around, narrowing his eyes.

Something felt off.

It was like they were missing a key puzzle piece.

Noticing his behavior, Krillin asked, “Piccolo, what are you looking for?”

“Haven’t you noticed?” Piccolo replied calmly.

“Someone is missing.”

Krillin blinked in confusion and scanned the patio.

Now that Piccolo mentioned it, it did feel like someone was missing, but he couldn’t immediately put his finger on who.

“Yeah, you’re right…

but who?”

Overhearing their exchange, Alex already knew exactly who they were talking about.

He just smiled into his cup of tea.

“Kakarot,” Vegeta muttered coldly, his scowl deepening.

It had been bothering Vegeta since the fight started.

With a transformation event that massive, and with Vegeta flaring his own ki so aggressively, how on earth was Kakarot not here yet?

The realization hit Krillin and Piccolo like a ton of bricks.

Right!

Goku wasn’t here!

In a situation like this, with crazy energy signatures flaring up, Goku was always the first to arrive.

He lived for this kind of stuff.

Seeing their confusion, Tien let out a hearty laugh.

“Goku is currently training.”

Everyone’s heads snapped toward Tien.

Their wide eyes practically screamed, ‘How do you know that?!’

Tien didn’t keep them in suspense.

“Because Goku is also Master Alex’s disciple now!”

“WHAT?!”

Silence instantly fell over the garden.

The air itself seemed to freeze.

None of them could believe their ears.

The bombshell dropped on them like a bolt of lightning out of a clear blue sky, leaving them completely paralyzed, as if a bucket of ice water had just been dumped over their heads.

Goku…

was Alex’s disciple?!

It was absolutely unbelievable.

Vegeta took it the hardest.

A bitter, nasty feeling twisted in his gut.

He had assumed Kakarot was out plowing a radish field like an idiot, but instead, his rival had sneaked off to train behind his back!

And to top it off, he had actually bowed his head and taken this monster as a master!

It was infuriating.

“Ding!

Disciple Goku has increased his base power level by 2 Billion.

Host receives a double boost of 4 Billion.”
