Chapter 4: Sona Sitri? by Harem-Fan
I pointed to the dead body and I yelled at the Lightning Beast...
"Damn it, Precious, you killed Kenny!"
As the rain stopped and the clouds began to clear, the Youkai had enough of my nonsense and rushed.
Tsubaki had noticed that she could send a distress call to Sona through her Sitri Seal, so she did.
Crackle Crackle Whoosh~! A large amount of lightning covered the Lightning Beast as it leapt through the air to body slam me.
But the damnedest thing happened to stun all three of us!
Whoosh Bang~! As Tsubaki had just sent her distress call, and I was about to swing my Light Blade down on the flying Lightning Beast, it suddenly hit ripples in the air and flew into Tsubaki's 3 fold magic barrier at the side!
Crackle Bang~! The angry Thunder Dog then spit its breath weapon at me again, but as I slashed at it with my sword, it was reflected back on the Beast at twice its strength, just like what Mirror Alice did?!
The Youkai now known as Precious shook its head as it had been blasted backwards, and I was also confused.
I felt a small amount of my Stamina drain after both of its attacks were avoided.
So I said in my mind...
'Hey System, is that you helping me?'
Instead of a text box of black with silver, the Ultimate Karma System spoke with a robotic voice in my mind.
[Ding~! Correct, using a bit of your energy, I have used some of the Karma you earned with me to divert some harm, now repel the Youkai and escape, the master of the Devil is coming...]
I looked over at the black haired beauty protecting the Human guy behind her, and at the Youkai getting back up.
Bang Bang Bang~! I started to shoot at the Lightning Beast, and it leapt backwards and growled at us.
Grr~! It shrank a bit as it coated itself in lightning and said.
[Fine, you two guys fight, I'm moving...]
Whoosh~! And the large Mastiff with white lightning turned fast to flee.
Bang Bang~! I was shooting at it, but for some reason, the beast was able to nimbly dodge?!
Just as I was going to chase it, a blue Sitri portal opened in the air and three Devils emerged from it...
The first Devil that came out with her bat-wings was the only Devil I recognized... Sona Sitri!
Just behind her were a boy and a girl I don't know.
The Blonde haired boy with grey eyes and a male version of the Kuoh Academy uniform.
The third Devil looks like a short girl with brown hair in long twin ponytails, green eyes, and wears green clips in her hair and striped green stockings.
She too is wearing the uniform of the Kuoh Academy.
As the three landed, Sona scanned the scene and saw the Youkai escaping in the distance, and she told her Peerage members behind her after seeing me and the dead Jeff.
"Saji and Nimura, you both may promote in case a fight breaks out..."
Both of them looked at me seriously and said in unison.
""Yes President... Promotion to Queen!""
Now I can fight the girl from before and these two Pawns, but I can't fight with Sona Sitri because she is a High-Class threat, and I can only beat Lower and Middle Class opponents, sigh...
Sona asked her Queen.
"Tsubaki, are you fine?"
"Yes President."
I grin because I need to beat feet, so I talk shit as I retreat.
"Tsk, Sona Sitri, because you're ganging up on Lil Ol' Me, the Youkai escaped... But don't hold me back, because I have reinforcements if we fight, you know..."
While Sona was looking at me seriously, I went over to Jeff's body and took his weapons and important things.
Saji asked.
"Um, President, someone died, are we fighting?"
The girl called Nimura said to Saji.
"Hey, he has a gun, and that sword is making me nervous."
Sona finally spoke to me after seeing me loot the body.
"You're not from the Church, you must be a Stray Exorcist with the Fallen Angels that have come to Kuoh Town, right? Also, you know who I am..."
I have confusion in my eyes, because shouldn't everyone know her?
But I'm actually smart and thought of a good reason to know her.
"Hey hey, that lady used magic from the Sitri Devils, so of course I figured it out... Anyway I'm out of here, hehe..."
As I started to leave, she said to me...
"I will report this incident to the Lord of the territory, the Gremory... So don't cause trouble that will start a conflict."
I grinned and said as I rounded the corner...
"Conflict is the spice of life, hehe... Bye bye Water Princess, Devil-chan, Yellow Hair, and Shorty!"
Sona was nonplussed, Tsubaki let out a breath she was holding back, Saji bit his teeth for my comment, and Loli looked mad at having her shortcomings pointed out...
Then I vanished from their sights.
(The new Freed is trying to resist the manic combat desires and bad attitude his old self had, but it's very challenging. It was the reason he fought with Tsubaki instead of trying to rescue her outright. His bad mouth also can't easily be controlled. The new Freed has already started to change his old self, so it will take some time. This is the reason for the Crazy Protagonist Tag.)
After the Exorcist left, Sona asked Tsubaki what went on...
After everything was told by Tsubaki, the dead body was collected, and the client sent home, Sona said to her Peerage.
"Tsubaki, instead of Devil work tomorrow, gather the Peerage for a meeting about the Church, Grigori, and Holy Weapons... I have a bad feeling."
"Yes Sona."
After the apartment complex was returned to before the fight, the four Sitri Devils left for home...
Back home in the abandoned church...
I was sitting in the front pew with Chuck, explaining most everything that went on to Raynare in front of us.
She dumbly asked.
"Kenny died? Who the hell is Kenny?"
Cory blushed and said.
"It was Brother Jeff Valdez, Lady Raynare... Mr. Sellzen just can't remember his name."
I just shrug and say.
"Well, he just looks like Kenny, hehe."
Raynare ignores my stupidity and tells Cory.
"Cory, leave now..."
As the fat man left, I placed my arms on the back of the bench and asked the Fallen Angel woman.
"Hey Boss, did you reconsider?"
Raynare shrugged and told me flatly.
"You're not my type, anyways... I kept you behind because I have a mission for us tomorrow."
I'm a bit confused that we have a mission, because Raynare told me just this morning I wouldn't have them.
"Hey, I'm every woman's type, but what is our mission?"
"Azazel detected a Longinus user in Kuoh Town, and he thinks it's the Boosted Gear. So we have to go and pick up the Vanishing Dragon Vali over at the Black Dog Bar and bring him around Kuoh to find the host of the Red One."
"Fuckballs, why do we, no I have to meet Vali, that guy is a jerk?!"
Raynare, seeing me frightened of Vali, smirks then she says bluntly.
"I don't want to be alone with Vali, so you're coming as my subordinate to do the talking, so if he gets angry he beats you and not me, haha."
"Ah, Dammit..."
Tap Tap Tap~! As Raynare walked past me to leave, I was reminded about the time 4 months ago when Vali blasted me to near death for talking shit to him in the halls of the base...
I said to myself.
"Ultimate Karma System, don't let me die, alright?!"
The system ignored me...
Later the next day as the sun was setting...
Raynare and I had taken the bullet train towards Tokyo Station, but got off at the halfway point two stations away from Kuoh Town.
Raynare mostly ignored me and read a book the whole train-ride, but now as we walked down an empty street, she told me a bit more about where we were going.
"Black Dog Bar is owned by Grigori and is open to any faction to go to, as it's a neutral meeting place. The members like my team, the Vali team, Slash/Dog team and others go there in Japan for missions."
I asked.
"Wait, that guy Vali has a team now? I thought he was a loner like me?"
Raynare shrugged and told me.
"Hey Freed, don't start any trouble in the bar, and don't offend the staff of the bar, even Vali is afraid of the Bartender and Singer there."
I asked in a bit of nervousness.
"Are we meeting any of the Grigori Leaders tonight?"
Raynare looks like she really admires the Leaders and smiles sadly.
"Unfortunately, you and I don't rank high enough to be noticed by the Leaders, unless we do something big."
I saw her eyes sparkle like when she stole Asia's Sacred Gear in the anime, but...
Asia Argento won't fall into Raynare's hands if I can help it.
Raynare's smile froze as she felt a killing intent directed at her.
Oops, I can't reveal that I'm stronger than her just yet.
Raynare looked all around, but when she looked at me, she only saw me lusting at her body, so she ignored that it was me.
Suddenly the both of us walked up to a two story building in the middle of nowhere with a few cars around it.
I saw the ground floor was a restaurant, but the sign on the second floor reads...

The pair of us walked up the outside steps to the second floor's bar...
As we walked inside the 80's style looking bar, we entered the single large wooden door...
Inside the bar, there were no windows and only soft lights barely lit the individual 6-person booths and 4-person tables.
On the far right side of the bar was a small stage, with a piano to the side, and a standing microphone for a singer.
Currently there is a black haired woman playing some classical music on the piano, but no singer on stage.
On the far left of the bar is the bartender station and about 20 bar-stools surrounding it.
There is currently a Japanese university looking guy manning it and making drinks.
Raynare pulls my arm and takes me to the Far back booth where Vali is sitting with three other people.
He is listening to music and drinking... Milk?!
At first glance, I saw he was sitting with two guys and a woman.
Vali was wearing normal clothing.
The second Chinese guy was in tropical clothing.
The third Englishman was in a white suit.
And the Japanese woman was in a black loose kimono.
I've never met any of these guys...
