Qin Hao was unaware that his actions had caused such a stir in the entire assassin world.
He was now a bit of a headache, because he was troubled over whose car to take.
Gu Xueqi and Xia Mengchan stared at each other, both waiting for Qin Hao to get in their car.
“Meng Chan, you don’t share the same route with Qin Hao, you should go to work, just let me take him to school,” Gu Xueqi said with a smile.
“No need, Qi Qi, my own man naturally needs me to drive him, you don’t have to bother about it.
As for work, I’m the boss, it won’t matter if I’m late,” Xia Mengchan smiled faintly.
Both of them spoke very gently, but Qin Hao felt a hint of gunpowder in their conversation.
This made Qin Hao a bit bewildered, as this sort of situation wasn’t supposed to happen.
“Alright then, you can take him,” Gu Xueqi shrugged, acting indifferent, then got into her own car and sped away.
Qin Hao breathed a sigh of relief, and Xia Mengchan also showed a smile, like a child who had won a battle over a possession.
Had anyone seen her, they would have been surprised.
The ever dignified, elegant, and composed first beauty of Baihai City, Xia Mengchan, could also show such a side.
“Get in the car.”
Xia Mengchan opened the car door and sat in.
Qin Hao sat in the passenger seat, as he hadn’t planned to drive today.
“Husband, how about I take you to school every day from now on?” Xia Mengchan turned her gaze towards Qin Hao, her beautiful eyes glistening like black gemstones, her face full of anticipation.
“Okay.”
Qin Hao had no reason to refuse and agreed directly.
Xia Mengchan’s face revealed a charming smile, she laughed happily, then without saying much, started the car and headed to Baihai University.
The vehicle didn’t enter Baihai University, as per Qin Hao’s request, because Xia Mengchan’s car was too lavish.
Although he wasn’t against these luxuries, he didn’t want to be too ostentatious.
Naturally, Xia Mengchan wouldn’t go against Qin Hao’s wishes, and she let him out of the car outside.
Only after Qin Hao had entered the campus did Xia Mengchan depart.
Qin Hao headed straight for the cafeteria, he hadn’t eaten breakfast yet.
Xia Mengchan could have breakfast at her company, but Qin Hao had to manage on his own.
He got some breakfast and had barely started eating when he was interrupted.
“So you’re Qin Hao,” a pleasant feminine voice rang out, a bit spoiled and filled with deep resentment.
Qin Hao looked up.
He hadn’t heard this voice before and was clueless as to why she held such resentment towards him.
A girl stood in front of him, wearing a white short-sleeve top and a pair of denim shorts, her slender, long, white legs exposed, catching the eyes of many around them.
Seeing Qin Hao appraising her, the girl wore a proud expression.
She snorted coldly, her disdain growing.
“What do you want with me?” Qin Hao scratched his head.
He was certain that he didn’t know her, but judging from her attitude, she seemed to harbor resentment against him and was undoubtedly here to cause trouble.
“There’s something you need to do,” the girl said haughtily, in a commanding tone.
“Speak.”
Qin Hao remained unperturbed, curious about the girl’s intentions.
“Call off the engagement, immediately, right now, this number is for you to call, tell that old coot that you don’t fancy Lin Luyao and that you want to break off the engagement with her,” the girl demanded fiercely, as if her words were not to be defied.
Qin Hao was baffled, completely unaware of what was happening.
But soon, Qin Hao realized something.
“Are you Lin Luyao?”
Qin Hao pointed at the girl, his expression odd.
“Right, so what?
It has nothing to do with you.
Hurry up and make the call.” Lin Luyao placed a piece of paper with a phone number on it in front of Qin Hao.
“You’re my fiancée?” Qin Hao continued to ask.
Even though the question was somewhat idiotic, he still asked it because Qin Hao genuinely didn’t know.
“Don’t flatter yourself, I would never marry you.
Stop dreaming you toad wanting to eat swan meat,” Lin Luyao said haughtily, like a proud little swan.
“Fine.”
Qin Hao nodded.
He took out his cell phone, dialed the number, and as soon as the call connected, Qin Hao spoke without waiting for the other person to talk, “That old man over there, I don’t know who you are, my name is Qin Hao, and there’s a crazy woman named Lin Luyao standing in front of me, babbling nonsense, claiming to be my fiancée.
Whether that’s true or not, this engagement is over now because I don’t like an ugly crazy woman; she’ll lower the quality of the Qin Family’s genes.”
Having said that, Qin Hao hung up without waiting for a response.
Lin Luyao was dumbfounded, and so was an old man on the other end of the phone.
However, the old man quickly regained his composure, his face ashen as he redialed.
Qin Hao glanced at the incoming call, rejected it, and then blocked the number.
Hearing the beeps from the phone, the old man nearly exploded in rage, as this was the first time in many years that a younger generation dared to hang up on him.
After glancing at the dumbstruck Lin Luyao, Qin Hao finished his breakfast swiftly and left the place without giving her another look.
Lin Luyao was still dumbfounded until Qin Hao had disappeared, only then did she snap back to reality.
Crazy woman, ugly, dragging down the Qin Family’s gene quality—these words nearly drove her mad.
She had always been a pampered princess, having grown up surrounded by praise, and she was very confident about her own looks.
She had never been belittled like this before, and it was almost enough to make Lin Luyao question the whole world.
“Qin Hao, you’re good, very good, daring to insult me.
I will definitely make you pay,” Lin Luyao gritted her teeth in anger; she was really furious.
No sooner had her words fallen than her phone’s ringtone sounded.
Pulling out her cell phone, Lin Luyao immediately showed a guilty expression, but she didn’t dare to hang up on the other party like Qin Hao did.
After answering the call, Lin Luyao carefully said, “Grandpa, were you looking for me for something?”
She was very nervous, and her voice trembled slightly.
Unexpectedly, her grandfather did not have harsh words for her but spoke very gently, “Lu Yao, it’s dangerous for you to be alone in Baihai City.
Grandpa is sending someone to accompany you, someone you know.”
“Really?
That’s great, is it Sister Wu?
Please send her over,” Lin Luyao’s mood brightened instantly.
“Heh, it’s really quite good,” her grandpa said and hung up the phone.
Lin Luyao clenched her fists, a cold smile on her face, “Qin Hao, once Sister Wu arrives, I’ll have her teach you a lesson.
Let’s see if you dare to bully me then.”
Thinking of Qin Hao being beaten, Lin Luyao couldn’t help but reveal a smug smile.
“Classmate, may I ask if you would date me?” While Lin Luyao was daydreaming, a boy with a face full of acne and a sleazy bearing stood in front of her.
Seeing Lin Luyao smile, the boy immediately became excited, thinking she had been charmed by his peerless handsome face and had agreed to his proposal.
“Classmate, even though I am so good-looking, you don’t have to be so infatuated, my dear.
From today onwards, we’re boyfriend and girlfriend,” the boy reached out excitedly toward Lin Luyao’s hand.
Only then did Lin Luyao realize what was happening.
She was startled by the boy’s attempt to grab her, and subconsciously kicked out.
Thud!
The boy’s body stiffened and he fell straight to the ground.
Lin Luyao stuck out her tongue and said, “I didn’t do it on purpose, he was trying to take advantage of me.”
After saying that, she beat a hasty retreat.
