These beasts were not Yang Fan’s believers.
They would simply follow their instincts to hunt and reproduce.
Over the course of decades or even centuries, some of them might eventually face extinction.
Yang Fan didn’t care about that at all.
For one thing, rankless beasts were extremely cheap.
More importantly, this was a necessary part of ecological evolution.
Li Qingying had mentioned in class that gods could invest various resource cards into their Divine Kingdoms, but they had to carefully control the intensity.
If beings of Rank 2 or higher were introduced during the early stages of a Divine Kingdom, they could bring about a devastating disaster.
As for low-level beast species, the more the better.
Gods didn’t need to interfere.
If a species went extinct, it simply proved that it was unsuitable for the development of the Divine Kingdom and had been eliminated by the ecological chain.
Natural selection and survival of the fittest.
On the path of developing a Divine Kingdom, faster wasn’t always better.
Time was equally important.
“100 Dark Night Vultures, Rank 1 Demonic Beasts.
Price: 3,000 Faith Points.
Merchant’s Note: Not recommended for purchase during the first century of a Divine Kingdom’s history.
These demonic beasts frequently hunt human infants.” Yang Fan hesitated for a moment before clicking purchase.
Based on everything he had learned in class, Yang Fan felt that his believers had been living a little too comfortably.
The Bodhi Precious Snakes were relatively lazy and basically never left their valley, while beasts such as antelopes posed no real threat to the tribe.
Pressure created motivation.
Yang Fan felt it was time to introduce some dangerous species into his Divine Kingdom.
A comfortable environment could never produce powerful believers.
After receiving the cards, Yang Fan immediately placed them all into his Divine Kingdom.
Beams of light flashed across the sky.
One after another, beastly roars echoed from deep within the dense forests.
Tigers, porcupines, rabbits, hedgehogs, and rats began appearing in large numbers, scurrying through the wilderness like ants.
Then, a loud and piercing screech rang out from the sky.
At that moment, inside the valley where the Bodhi Precious Snakes lived, an old snake measuring a full fifty meters in length suddenly coiled its enormous body.
It raised its head and assumed an offensive posture, as though it had sensed the arrival of a natural enemy.
With a thought, Yang Fan sent down a divine oracle to the tribe.
“My believers, you have performed well throughout this century.
As a reward, I have sent down a miracle and provided you with more food.” “Thank you, our God!” The believers immediately knelt and bowed together.
Even the two- and three-year-old children rolled onto the ground and imitated the adults in worship.
“Opportunity always comes with risk.
A crisis from the sky has already been born.
You must be prepared.” After leaving those words behind, Yang Fan took out three blank cards.
He collected eleven drops of Moon Dew and all five hundred Water Lotus Seeds from the tribe’s warehouse.
Then he went to the Snake Valley and collected five hundred adult Bodhi Precious Snakes and five hundred young snakes.
Only then did he return to reality.
In this era, where network data could be manifested into reality, everyone could become both a buyer and a merchant.
Yang Fan used his student ID to register a Taotao Network account.
He then linked his transaction account to his Divine Kingdom and began editing his listings.
“11 drops of Moon Dew.
Price: 11,000 Faith Points.” “500 Water Lotus Seeds.
Price: 1,000 Faith Points.” “Bodhi Precious Snake Bundle: 500 adults and 500 juveniles.
Price: 3,000 Faith Points.” After completing the listings, Yang Fan clicked submit.
A notification immediately appeared.
“Taotao Network item review passed.
Qualification review passed.
Items successfully listed.” “Transaction complete.
Total income: 15,000 Faith Points.
Taotao Network has deducted 10% personal income tax and a 2% platform transaction fee on your behalf.
Your total profit is 13,200 Faith Points.
Faith Points have been deposited into your Divine Kingdom.” Hearing the notification, Yang Fan couldn’t help sighing.
“As long as the price is reasonable, transactions really are fast.
But these taxes are expensive.” “Besides that, there’s an annual poll tax.
The Federal Government really knows how to squeeze money out of people.” In today’s world, everything was digitized and intelligent.
Whether one was an ordinary person or a high-ranking god, no one could escape taxation.
Only death and taxes were unavoidable.
God Lord: Yang Fan Divine Kingdom Area: 1,000,000 square kilometers Talent: F-rank Resource Talent — All resources within the Divine Kingdom grow 10% faster SSS-rank Talent: Evolution — Unique Talent, can accelerate Divine Kingdom evolution, currently hidden Believers: Barbarians (5,230) Cultivation Method: Federal Body Refinement Technique Faith Points: 14,988 Daily Faith Point Provision: 0.006 Buildings: Moon Well — Produces 1 drop of Moon Dew every 10 years Assets: Bodhi Precious Snake ×4,311, Rank 1 Demonic Beast; Dark Night Vulture ×100, Rank 1 Demonic Beast; Water Lotus ×1,000, F-rank Spiritual Plant Only about ten days had passed in the outside world, yet Yang Fan had already earned 13,200 Faith Points.
If his parents knew about this, their jaws would probably drop in shock.
Even so, Yang Fan was still not satisfied.
To be precise, he wasn’t making full use of his talent yet.
“I’m still too poor.” “If I had a background like Luo Bing’s, combined with an SSS-rank Talent, I’d already be soaring.” “I have to find a way to obtain more initial capital.” A hint of greed flashed across Yang Fan’s eyes.
With the Evolution Talent, his ability to earn Faith Points was naturally ten times greater than that of ordinary people.
Take the Moon Well as an example.
Its market value was 300,000 Faith Points, while it produced 3,000 Faith Points every month, or 36,000 Faith Points per year.
That was only a 12% annual return.
Compared with other Divine Kingdom assets, its return rate was extremely low.
But for Yang Fan, it was equivalent to a 120% return.
He could recover the cost within a single year.
Most importantly, he didn’t need to waste time cultivating it.
His believers only needed to focus on cultivation.
“Unlike other gods, my believers don’t need to waste time learning survival skills such as farming and hunting.” “Improving their strength is their core task.
As for the resources they need, buildings like the Moon Well can provide them with everything.” Yang Fan muttered to himself.
“It’s almost time for class.
I’ll think about it more tonight.” He stopped thinking about it, took out his virtual helmet, and put it on.
— Virtual World.
Class 7, Grade 12.
“Today, we’re going to talk about the prosperity level of a Divine Kingdom.” Li Qingying wrote the words Prosperity Level on the blackboard.
Ten days had passed since the Awakening.
No one was as fanatical as they had been at the beginning.
Although everyone still listened to the lecture seriously, traces of exhaustion could be seen in their eyes.
Developing a Divine Kingdom required them to purchase resource cards, issue divine oracles, and find ways to earn Faith Points.
For students from poor families in particular, these days had been exceptionally difficult.
Looking at everyone’s condition, Li Qingying wasn’t surprised.
Instead, she smiled and said, “Before today’s class begins, I have some good news to announce.” “Class 7, Grade 12 will be holding a monthly examination.” “Considering that you have only recently awakened your Divine Kingdoms, this exam will not involve any combat between believers.” “Instead, an intelligent lifeform will connect to your Divine Kingdom and rank you according to a comprehensive evaluation of your Divine Kingdom’s prosperity level.” Li Qingying pointed toward the words on the blackboard with her right hand.
A small dimple appeared on her cheek as she smiled.
“Since this is only an internal class examination, the school isn’t providing any rewards.” “However, as your homeroom teacher, I’m personally willing to provide the prize money.” “The students who place fourth through tenth will each receive 20,000 Faith Points.” “Third place will receive 40,000 Faith Points.” “Second place will receive 60,000 Faith Points.” “And first place will receive 100,000 Faith Points, plus a D-rank building of their choice.” “Wow!” The classroom instantly erupted.
Most of the students’ eyes lit up with excitement.
