Aurelie sighed and with a single jerk, she elbowed Vincent quite hard.

The sharp elbow made Vincent jump, and his breath hitched, a mix of surprise and pain.

He fell to the floor with a thud.Full novel: Ex’s Regret: Sold Me to the Billionaire Alpha — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

“Oops, oh my, baby, why did you elbow me?” Vincent said, rubbing his stomach dan and his bottom hitting the floor.

“You’re so fierce, baby.”

“Don’t call me baby.

You’re touching me carelessly,” Aurelie said flatly.

“We haven’t even discussed any boundaries between us, considering this marriage wasn’t planned.”

Aurelie tried to calm her own racing heart by acting sternly toward Vincent.

She didn’t want him to know that what he had just done had affected her.

Vincent clucked in annoyance and got up, sitting on the single sofa, watching Aurelie.

Meanwhile, Aurelie was also holding back the pain in her elbow, as Vincent’s stomach turned out to be hard.

Aurelie stood up, grabbed a thin blanket, draped it around her waist like a sheet, and walked to the door.

She pulled on the locked door handle, then gathered her strength and kicked the door open with a quick, accurate, straight kick.

One of the door hinges came off, and the door tilted.

Aurelie pushed the door open wider and stepped out.

She would sleep in another room or, if necessary, on one of the sofas.

The White Mansion was a large, relaxed place with many sofas, all large and comfortable.

However, Aurelie was stopped in her tracks by several dashing men in black suits standing in front of the door.

“Ms.

Aurelie, is there something you need?

We’ll help you get it,” said one of the guards.

Aurelie was startled and immediately understood that they were standing guard there to prevent her from leaving the room.

“Uh, no,” Aurelie said irritably.

“It’s okay.”

“Then please go back into your room, Ms.

Aurelie,” the guard said with a smile.

At that moment, Vincent was speechless, seeing what Aurelie had done.

She kicked the door, and instead of hurting, it swung open, even knocking one of the hinges off.

Oh my gosh.

Goosebumps rose on Vincent’s spine.

Not from fear, but from amazement and confusion.

Aurelie was a petite woman, though she appeared fit.

Still, the force she used to kick the door was immense.

After all, she was an Omega, which was supposed to be synonymous with weakness.

Not only that, but her kick was so accurate and precise, it made it seem as if she were a skilled martial artist.

Vincent stood up and grimaced.

Damn it!

His stomach, where Aurelie had elbowed him, still ached.

This was so strange.

How could an Omega, supposedly weak and wolfless, petite and blind, defeat him so easily?

Aurelie sighed, knowing it was futile to try to escape.

She said goodnight to the guards and reached for the door, then put it back on the hinges and closed it.

“Did you see?

What did Ms.

Aurelie do?”

“She kicked the door and the hinges came off.”

“Then she fixed it and put the door back on.

How is that possible?

This door is heavy.”

“I wonder how strong she is?”

“Uh, I guess she grew up on a farm and was taught to work hard from a young age, so she’s strong.”

“Hmm, that could be it.”

The guards at the door were discussing the door and asking each other questions.

Aurelie sighed and returned to the sofa.

“Alpha Vincent, since I can’t get out, can I stay on the sofa?” Aurelie asked politely.

Vincent was still shocked and confused after witnessing Aurelie’s incredible strength, so he stuttered when she asked and then subconsciously nodded.

“Uh, yes, of course, of course,” Vincent said.

“You can sleep.

On the sofa.

Yes, on the sofa.”

“Thank you,” Aurelie said, then untied the cloth from her waist and lay down on the sofa, covering herself tightly.

“What happened,” Vincent muttered, staring at Aurelie’s back.

“Why did everything turn out this way?”

Varn laughed.

“You must be confused now.

None of your expectations or intentions have been fulfilled, because that unique woman has shattered them all.”

“Hm,” Vincent muttered.

“I never thought she’d be anything other than the helpless pawn I’d expected.

She’s…

Amazing.”

However, Vincent didn’t choose Aurelie intentionally.

He would just randomly marry anyone, primarily to create chaos in his extended family.

Just for fun and to silence those who continued to question his lifestyle.

It just so happened that Mathew Damon lost a bet with him and offered a woman to him, so he met and married Aurelie.

He didn’t expect anything from Aurelie.

She simply had to put her name on the marriage certificate so no one in his family would question why he was so playful and still unmarried.

However, who would have thought that his grandfather would immediately take a liking to Aurelie, even praising her to the fullest, even though Aston Keagan X never praised others carelessly, unless they truly impressed him.

Vincent also hoped that, even though this marriage was unplanned, he still wanted a wife who was obedient and easy to control.

Vincent really didn’t like being contradicted, bothered, or burdened.

He didn’t have much time for such things.

In reality, Aurelie consistently defied all his expectations.

She was far from what Vincent had imagined, the image of marrying a blind, wolfless Omega.

“Varn, do you think this hasty marriage was a mistake?” Vincent asked, his voice wavering.

“You think I’m giving in to my impulsive thoughts?”

Varn chuckled.

“I think it’s better if you consider it a stroke of good fortune to have met a woman like Aurelie.”

“Tsk, I didn’t mean it that way!” Vincent said.

“But I guess you’re right.

Besides, Aurelie hasn’t done anything to get me into trouble so far.”

“She makes your grandfather happy, and it seems the maids and workers appreciate her too,” Varn said.

“Then let her remain in her current position, as my and Luna’s wife at the White Mansion, until I have a good reason to release her,” Vincent said.

Varn took another, longer breath and looked at Aurelie, who seemed to be fast asleep, completely undisturbed.

Her breathing was soft and steady.

Vincent couldn’t resist the urge to stroke Aurelie’s beautiful, wavy hair down her back.

His heart felt warm.

“Who are you?” Vincent murmured, mostly to himself.

Vincent adjusted the sheet covering Aurelie’s body, then pushed the table against the sofa, just in case she rolled away.

Then he took the bed cover from the bed and spread it under the strange bed that had caused all the commotion, and closed his eyes.

The next morning, Aurelie left her room and went downstairs for breakfast but saw no sign of Vincent or any of the other residents of the mansion.

It seemed she had indeed woken up too early.

The other residents of the mansion were probably still asleep, but she was used to waking up earlier than everyone else, so she chose to look around, wondering where Vincent had ended up sleeping last night.

“Ms.

Aurelie, you’re up very early,” said a man approaching Aurelie.

Aurelie’s body froze.

The man’s voice sounded foreign to her ears.

Aurelie gripped her cane tightly, ready to swing it at the man who had reprimanded her if anything happened.
