At that moment, the person Mira had mentioned, Carrin Keagan, was on the third floor, on the open balcony, watering her flower collection.

Carrin had heard what had happened to Vincent and was furious.

She also hated any woman who would dare marry Vincent, for any reason.Full novel: Ex’s Regret: Sold Me to the Billionaire Alpha — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Carrin had always been confident, ever since she entered the White Mansion as Vincent’s adopted sister, that her status would one day change to Luna and Vincent’s partner.

When she heard about Vincent’s absurd marriage, she immediately felt certain that Vincent was doing such things simply to get back at his father.

It was a common occurrence.

Vincent always acted out to infuriate his father, because he harbored a grudge against him, having never been cared for or cared for by him.

He was a true rebel, and nothing could stop him from doing whatever he wanted to do with his life.

He’d never taken those flings seriously, never once brought any of those women to see his grandfather.

She was the only woman who’d ever been here!

Yet now Vincent’s wife—that blind woman—was actually getting permission to come.

Carrin stayed alert.

“You must be standing here and wait until Grandpa Aston approves your entry,” Mira said to Aurelie.

She pointed to an area near the courtyard.

Newman looked at the area Mira was pointing at and was surprised.

“Madam Mira, it’s very hot there.

The sun is blazing.

Ms.

Aurelie will feel dizzy.”

“Whatever,” Mira said.

“She’s waiting there, and maybe Grandpa Aston will take pity on her and agree to take her in, though that’s a very slim possibility.

Or just leave.

Besides, Mr.

Vincent didn’t tell you the blind girl was coming here.”

“It’s okay, Mr.

Newman, I can wait anywhere.

Please take me to the place.”

Although he looked doubtful, Newman couldn’t argue.

He looked at Aurelie, who was pointing to the spot Mira had pointed out, under the blazing sun, to await Grandpa Aston’s permission to enter.

“Please inform Grandpa Aston of Ms.

Aurelie’s arrival,” Newman said.

“Don’t let her stand around and wait too long.

Even if Grandpa Aston refuses to accept her, I can take her away immediately.”

“Don’t be a fuss!” Mira snapped.

“Just go to the back and rest in the usual place.”

Mira smiled with satisfaction as she saw Aurelie standing obediently.

She then ordered the other servants to leave, leaving Aurelie standing alone.

She had no intention of telling Grandpa Aston about Aurelie’s arrival.

Mira strongly supported Carrin becoming Luna and Vincent’s partner.

She was confident that if that happened, she, too, would attain a higher position in the extended Keagan family.

Mira went up to the third floor and approached Carrin, who was observing Aurelie below.

“What a shameless person,” Mira grumbled.

“Whether she’s stupid or overconfident, she doesn’t know that you’re the only one worthy of Mr.

Vincent.”

Carrin pretended to be calm and unmoved, but she completely agreed with Mira’s statement.

“Madam Mira, do you still like the green bag I bought you two months ago?” Carrin asked sweetly.

“Of course, Ms.

Carrin.

It’s very beautiful and expensive, isn’t it?” Mira said.

“It suits you perfectly.”

“I’ll give it to you,” Carrin said, arranging several heavy flower pots on the edge of the balcony.

Mira’s face beamed.

“Thank you so much, Ms.

Carrin.

You’re very generous and kind.”

Carrin glanced at her, then looked down.

“But, could you help me arrange these pots first?

They’re too heavy, and if I slip, one of them might fall and hit someone.”

Mira smiled faintly.

She understood what Carrin wanted.

“Ah, I was just thinking that if one of these pots fell, it might keep away any insects that wanted to enter the house and disturb the peace of this family.”

“You think so?” Carrin asked innocently.

“Of course,” Mira said.

“You just sit there, Ms.

Carrin.

I’ll take care of all the insects around you.”

Mira grabbed the largest and heaviest pot and started to move it, but her hand accidentally slipped, causing it to slip and slide down, right onto where Aurelie was standing.

“Oops!”

Mira and Carrin looked at each other and smiled slyly.
