Сhарter 20: She Sаw Nоthing

Rеturning tо thе villa, Lin Kuizhi helреd Chi Yu to thе bedside. Тriррing оvеr sоmething, shе fеll оnto thе bed, рulling Chi Yu down with hеr.

With his аrms braсed оn еithеr side оf hеr and strау strаnds оf hаir fаlling оver his fоrehеаd, Chi Yu breathed lightlу, his eуes slightlу rеddеnеd—likely frоm acсidеntаllу hitting a sоre sрot.Full novel: Forced Breakup with the Yandere Villain, Then Recaptured and Kept Captive — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

“I’m sorrу, аrе уоu okаy?!” The girl раniсkеd, trуing to cheсk his injurу аs her hаnd movеd downward.

Сhi Yu’s рuрils trеmbled slightly, аnd his аrms went slaсk.

“Mmph!” Lin Кuizhi fеlt аs if shе werе аbout to be crushed. Uncomfоrtablе, shе triеd tо рush him awаy and get uр, squirming restlеssly.

Сhi Yu’s jaw tightеned, and beads of sweat began to form on his forehead.

Everything about her was soft. He felt as if he had sunk into a large block of tofu—a block of tofu that refused to stay still.

Chi Yu tightened his grip on the girl’s slender waist, forcefully pressing down on this “tofu.” His voice was hoarse and burning. “Don’t move!”

Lin Kuizhi sensed something off in his tone and obediently lay still. Only then did she realize something was amiss.

“Chi Yu, do you have keys in your pocket? They’re digging into me.”

Chi Yu froze for a moment.

Then, realizing what she meant, he chuckled softly, his thin lips brushing against her ear.

“I’ll tell you later, Miss.”

Later? Why not now?

Lin Kuizhi looked at him in confusion.

“If you knew now, Miss, you wouldn’t be able to get up.”

“How would we get into the same university then?”

Lin Kuizhi hadn’t really heard what he said.

He was too close—this face, a favorite of the Creator, was too close to hers.

She felt entranced by his eyes, drowning in their depths, only seeing his beautiful lips part and close.

Something about not being able to get up and not getting into the same university.

Of course not—she had to attend the same university as Chi Yu.

So she nodded vaguely and haphazardly.

Chi Yu curved his lips into a smile and struggled to get up.

“Could you help me to the bathroom, Zhi Zhi?”

The girl immediately scrambled up, grabbing his arm and draping it over her shoulder. He leaned most of his weight against her once again.

The “keys” kept brushing against Lin Kuizhi’s leg, and she could hear his soft, ragged breathing beside her ear.

He was already panting after just a few steps. Running ten laps must have really exhausted him.

Why was the big villain so foolish? He took “ten laps” literally. No one would have noticed if he’d slacked off a little.

In the bathroom, the girl supported him with one hand while turning on the hot water with the other.

He straightened up slightly.

His gaze drifted from her smooth, full forehead to her delicate nose, lingering on her slightly pursed, plump lips.

The sound of running water gradually stopped.

“Um, do you need any help?” The girl blurted out the words, her face flushed and her eyes darting around.

Perhaps because he didn’t respond for too long, she quickly added, “I don’t mean anything by it. It’s just that you seem to be having trouble…”

“No need. You can go rest.”

Letting out a dry “oh,” Lin Kuizhi walked to the bed and sat down, opening her phone.

A surveillance video from the computer lab had been sent to her phone.

Based on the IP address she had traced, the poster had used a school computer in the lab to make the post.

Suddenly, a loud thud came from the bathroom.

Lin Kuizhi jumped in fright and rushed over to knock on the bathroom door.

“Chi Yu, are you okay?”

“I’m fine.” His voice was unsteady, mixed with sharp intakes of breath—clearly, he was not fine.

She tightened her grip on the doorknob and pushed the bathroom door open.

“Don’t lie to me, you—”

Stunned, thunderstruck, her worldview shattered.

Chi Yu instantly grabbed a towel and wrapped it around himself.

“Miss…” He sighed helplessly, rubbing his forehead.Lin Kuizhi covered her eyes, shouting in a futile attempt to cover up, “I didn’t see anything!!”

Alright…

Is this normal behavior?

An awkward atmosphere spread.

Lin Kuizhi’s toes curled frantically, feeling as though she could dig out a second Lin family villa.

She kept her eyes tightly covered, but the scene from moments ago lingered stubbornly in the darkness behind her eyelids.

“No need to cover them.” Chi Yu let out a long sigh.

Lin Kuizhi slowly lowered her hands, feeling extremely guilty.

She felt like a pervert, the kind who peeks at someone bathing and ruins their innocence.

Chi Yu glanced at her, struggling to support himself against the bathtub.

Seeing this, the girl quickly stepped forward to help him. “Let me help you.”

The boy had injuries on his elbows and palms, and any careless movement would get them wet.

As his wounds were about to be soaked, Lin Kuizhi hurriedly stopped him.

“Don’t move, I… I’ll help you wash.”

Why did she feel so shameless!

“You’re a girl, this isn’t appropriate. I can manage on my own. A little water won’t matter.”

How considerate—not only did he not suspect her of ulterior motives, but he was also thinking of her.

He really was… she could cry.

“No,” Lin Kuizhi squeezed shower gel onto her palm and firmly pressed her hand against the boy’s broad back, rubbing in circles.

After all, as an injured patient, he was powerless to stop her.

The muscles under her hand were firm and perfectly defined, prompting Lin Kuizhi to frantically chant mantras to calm her mind and empty her thoughts.

The mirror on the left sink reflected the girl’s flushed face and her gaze glued to his back.

Leaning against the edge of the bathtub, the boy squinted slightly, a faint smile curling at the corner of his lips.

“Chi Yu, did you notice anything strange before you entered the exam hall?”

Lin Kuizhi remembered the question she had been meaning to ask.

The boy pondered for a moment. “No, not really.”

“Oh, right,” he added as if suddenly remembering something, “I bumped into Gu Chen outside the exam hall. He seemed to be looking for you.”

Hearing this, Lin Kuizhi frowned.

Her exam hall was on the fifth floor. Why would Gu Chen go to the fourth floor to look for her?

“What’s wrong?”

“Oh, nothing.” Lin Kuizhi snapped back to reality. “Why didn’t you defend yourself and just agreed to the teacher’s punishment of running laps?”

“He didn’t believe me. No matter how much I explained, it wouldn’t have made a difference.”

Lin Kuizhi pursed her lips.

“It’s okay. Even if the whole world doesn’t believe you, I still will.”

“Really?” The boy turned his head, his eyes cautiously testing the waters.

Lin Kuizhi’s heart ached for him. “Of course!”

“No matter what, you’ll believe me and won’t leave me?”

His dark eyes were moist, like a puppy drenched in rain, seeking its owner’s promise and the warmth of home.

Lin Kuizhi was completely defenseless against this face paired with such a gaze. She instantly surrendered, ignoring the water that would soak her, and hugged him as if making a vow, promising,

“Absolutely not. Believe me.”

In the place she couldn’t see, the boy’s vulnerability vanished. He gently inhaled the fragrance of her hair, his eyes filled with a possessive, almost obsessive desire.

So what if he lost his spot in the physics competition?

He could still get into the same university as her through the college entrance exam.

Capturing his Zhizhi was the most important thing.
