Сhаpter 9: Sо Handsоmе Не Соuld Bе а Тoр Attrаction аt а Nightclub
“Еxсusе mе.”
“Plеаse mаkе wау.”
Jiаng Еr рushed рast thе lаst person bloсking her рath аnd finаllу rеachеd the cеntеr оf thе crоwd, wherе Fu Tinghan аnd thе оthеrs stоod just аhead.
Thе bluе-hаirеd bоy lazily dribblеd thе bаsketbаll, sneеring, “Fu Tinghan, lооks likе nо one’s willing tо hеlp yоu. How раthеtiс.”
As sооn as he finished speaking, his first laсkeу quiсklу sсribblеd down thе words, pickеd up а small blаckbоard, and scurried over to show it to Fu Tinghan.
The others burst into laughter.
The first lackey hurriedly added a long string of “hahaha” on the blackboard.
Fu Tinghan remained expressionless.
The blue-haired boy was dissatisfied with his reaction. “Are you fucking paralyzed in the face or something?”
The first lackey buried his head in frantic writing but stumbled over the last two characters. Holding the blackboard, he asked:
“Boss, how do you write ‘paralyzed’?”
The blue-haired boy: “…”
He kicked the second lackey beside him. “How do you write ‘paralyzed’?”
The second lackey hurriedly pulled out his phone. “Hold on, boss, let me Baidu it real quick.”
Jiang Er: “…”
Not a single educated person in the whole bunch.
At that moment, the third lackey couldn’t stand it anymore. He pushed up his glasses and questioned:
“You don’t even know how to write that?”
The first lackey wasn’t having it. “If you’re so smart, you do it.”
Just as Jiang Er thought he would take the pen, he said with exasperation, “You idiot, you can just write the pinyin!”
The first lackey suddenly understood. He scribbled it down and forcefully held it up in front of Fu Tinghan:
【Are you fucking face-tān (first tone)?!】
Fu Tinghan: “…”
Jiang Er: “…”
This was what they meant by “birds of a feather flock together.”
The wisdom of the ancestors never lied.
On the other side, the onlookers shook their heads and sighed.
“Fu Tinghan’s really in trouble now.”
“Well, he brought it on himself. Didn’t they say he stole Lin Ling’s crush?”
“You actually believe that? With Fu Tinghan like this, who would even look at him? And give up Lin Ling for him? That’s a joke.”
“Sounds like total nonsense. Lin Ling really knows how to bully someone while still claiming the moral high ground.”
Amid the chatter, Jiang Er clenched her fists and walked toward the group.
Suddenly, the situation shifted, and the onlookers grew restless.
“Who’s that?”
“What’s she doing? Is she going to help Fu Tinghan?”
“Damn, her face is unreal. She’s even prettier than our school belle, Wen Xiyue.”
“Nonsense! Wen Xiyue is definitely prettier!”
…
Fu Tinghan also saw Jiang Er. His pupils contracted, and he immediately moved to pull her away.
She shook her head at him, signaling with her eyes for him to stay put.
He had no choice but to stop in his tracks.
The lackeys noticed her too, their faces flushing as they rubbed their hands together. “Hey, junior, who are you looking for?”
Jiang Er walked up behind the blue-haired boy.
The lackeys’ faces flashed with a mix of disappointment and curiosity:
“Boss, she’s here for you.”
The blue-haired boy didn’t even turn around. “Tell her to get lost.”
Jiang Er estimated the height difference between them, then gently patted his back and politely asked:
“Hello, do you have a moment right now?”
The blue-haired boy replied impatiently, “No.”
Jiang Er ignored him and persisted, “Are you determined to bully Fu Tinghan today?”
Hearing this, the blue-haired boy clicked his tongue and finally turned around.
Jiang Er got a clear look at his face.
Sharp eyebrows, bright eyes, and features as deep as if carved, with a black diamond stud in his left ear. He had the typical look of someone with striking, intense features, and combined with his unusual hair color, he exuded an air of boldness and roguish charm.Handsome, so handsome he could be the star attraction at a nightclub.
No wonder everyone said he was full of it.
Jiang Er mentally crossed out Fu Tinghan’s attempt to snatch someone away.
She had always been patient with handsome guys, so she suppressed her temper and asked again, “Can’t we sit down and talk this out properly?”
He gave her a once-over, his sharp eyebrows slightly raised:
“No, I just want to bully him. Also, you’d better mind your own business, or don’t blame me for being rude.”
“Thud—”
Her response was a beautiful shoulder throw.
Dust rose faintly in the air, and the onlookers fell so silent you could hear a pin drop.
The blue-haired boy lay on the ground, stunned.
Fu Tinghan across from him froze in place.
The lackeys beside him were also dumbfounded, even forgetting to retract their bared teeth.
In the dead silence, Jiang Er, her patience exhausted, crouched down and patted his face:
“Now, can we sit down and talk properly?”
The onlookers finally snapped out of it, erupting into chaos.
The scene was filled with exclamations of “Holy shit.”
“Who is this girl? She’s so fierce?!”
“She actually dared to hit Lin Ling!!”
“Oh my god, you really do see everything if you live long enough!”
On the ground, Lin Ling came to his senses, slammed his fist against the floor, and growled:
“What are you all still standing around for?!”
The lackeys shuddered, strategically taking several steps back to distance themselves from Jiang Er.
They kept shouting:
“You actually threw our boss?! You’re done for, you’re really done for! Even if you’re pretty, we won’t let you off!”
Jiang Er was a good kid who never shied away from admitting her mistakes, so she immediately apologized to Lin Ling:
“I apologize for my rude behavior just now. I’m sorry, please forgive me. Of course, if you don’t forgive me, that’s fine too—I don’t mind.”
As she spoke, her expression was exceptionally sincere. Her long, curved eyelashes fluttered gently, and paired with the dark pupils in her eyes, she looked even more innocent and pure.
If everyone hadn’t understood Chinese, it would have been hard not to forgive her.
Lin Ling: “…”
The crowd: “…”
It seemed like she was apologizing, but it also felt like she was provoking him. Hard to tell—better keep watching.
The lackeys, however, looked pleased. “Boss, the junior apologized to you. You should forgive her.”
Lin Ling: “…”
“Yeah, come to think of it, Boss, you weren’t entirely blameless either,” Lackey No. 1 said. “Why were you standing so close to her?”
Lin Ling: “…”
Lackey No. 2 chimed in: “Yeah, Boss, you only got thrown. She was practically scared to tears.”
Lin Ling: “…”
Lackey No. 3: “Yeah…”
Before he could finish, Lin Ling scrambled to his feet and roared, “Shut the hell up, all of you!”
The lackeys fell silent instantly.
Lin Ling turned to Jiang Er with a sinister glare:
“Today, neither you nor this kid are getting off easy!”
Jiang Er was about to speak when someone yanked her behind them. She looked up—it was Fu Tinghan.
He shook his head at her and signed a string of gestures.
Jiang Er couldn’t understand, so she beckoned to Lackey No. 1. “You, come here.”
Lin Ling sneered, “You think you can just call my people over?”
“Coming, coming.” Lackey No. 1 scurried over to her side.
Lin Ling’s smile froze.
Jiang Er took the small blackboard and pen from Lackey No. 1 and handed them to Fu Tinghan.
Fu Tinghan understood immediately and wrote a single word on it.
【Go】
She blinked, patted his shoulder, and said:
“Alright, I definitely won’t leave you behind and go alone.”Fu Tinghan: “”
He silently moved to shield Jiang Er more completely.
Over there, Lin Ling cursed loudly and shouted:
“Weren’t you brave enough when you threw me down? Why are you hiding like a coward now?”
Jiang Er immediately poked her head out from behind Fu Tinghan. “Who’s hiding?”
Lin Ling glared at her furiously, then laughed in anger:
“You’ve got some nerve, daring to throw me down. Do you even know who I am?”
Jiang Er replied matter-of-factly:
“No, I don’t.”
Just as Lin Ling was about to explode, he remembered something. He pulled a hearing aid from his pocket and suddenly calmed down:
“Then do you want this?”
So Fu Tinghan did have a hearing aid—it had just been snatched away by this guy.
Jiang Er was about to say she didn’t need it, that she could buy Fu Tinghan a new one.
But then she reconsidered. Items like these usually held special meaning. If this jerk damaged it, given Fu Tinghan’s personality, he’d probably end up crying under the covers every night.
Fine, might as well see this through.
She reached out to Lin Ling. “Give it back.”
“I’ll give it back to him,” Lin Ling taunted, “if you kneel down, beg me, and kowtow twice. Maybe if I’m in a good mood, I’ll return it.”
Jiang Er: “Are you out of your mind?”
