Kamisato Satoru had long since grown accustomed to these simple system notifications appearing in his mind.

Although the boost from coming into contact with a new Element this time wasn’t nearly as dramatic as when he’d first touched the Statue of The Seven associated with the Electro Archon, it was still a considerable improvement.Full novel: Genshin: The Limitless Gojo — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

"Looks like these Elements aren’t too fond of me. Let’s get going!"

Kamisato Satoru turned around and flew straight toward the lakeshore, his tone perfectly calm. He wasn’t disappointed in the slightest about failing to obtain Anemo.

"Hahaha! Don’t be so downhearted. Worst case, this peerless master can protect Ayaka from now on!" Lumine called after him with a grin.

Kamisato Satoru merely glanced back at her and calmly replied, "Miss Trashy Lumine, are you still half-asleep, or are you just daydreaming?"

Without another backward glance, he headed toward Whispering Woods.

Lumine was so furious that she shouted after him, "You bastard, Kamisato Satoru! Who did you just call ’trashy’?! Get back here and explain yourself...!"

"It’s all right, Lumine. That’s simply the way my brother is. Please don’t take it to heart."

Kamisato Ayaka gave her an extremely awkward smile from the side.

"It’s fine. I’m the bigger person, so I won’t stoop to his level!" Lumine replied with a smile and a nod.

Privately, however, she thought that now that she had such a gentle girl like Ayaka around, finding her brother didn’t seem quite so urgent anymore.

After all, how could that lousy big brother of hers possibly be more appealing than an adorable, sweet-smelling girl?

"Hey! What are you two whispering about back there? Hurry up and keep up!"

"Coming!"

The group entered the dappled light of Whispering Woods. Before long, they spotted someone dressed in green, with white stockings covering his legs, standing in a clearing not far away and apparently saying something to Stormterror.

Everyone instinctively held their breath and quietly slipped behind an old tree, secretly observing the extremely strange scene.

"That guy’s way too brave. He can actually communicate with a dragon," Paimon whispered in astonishment.

So that’s Barbatos, the god who’s always slacking off!

The corners of Kamisato Satoru’s lips curved upward.

Under the gaze of his Six Eyes, he could clearly see an unimaginably vast amount of Anemo energy surging through the body of that "little green guy."

As expected of one of the seven gods who ruled over the mortal realm.

Ding—

Just then, an ethereal, melodious sound rippled through the air.

The Anemo within Lumine’s body suddenly fluctuated violently beyond her control.

"ROAR—!"

"Who’s hiding over there?!"

Stormterror, who had been communicating peacefully moments earlier, seemed to be startled by something. With an enraged roar, it swung an enormous claw at the little green figure.

The green-clad figure nimbly dodged aside. His sharp gaze swept toward their hiding place before his entire body transformed into a streak of emerald light and vanished into the depths of the forest.

"Not good!"

"Watch out!"

Kamisato Satoru instantly sensed an immense concentration of highly destructive Anemo gathering deep within Stormterror’s throat.

Realizing something was wrong, he stretched out his long arms, grabbed Lumine and Kamisato Ayaka by the arms, and hurled them toward a safe area in the distance.

This isn’t how the plot is supposed to go!

Wasn’t this dragon supposed to get startled and fly away?

BOOM!

A terrifying dragon breath formed entirely from concentrated Anemo erupted forth with earth-shattering force, engulfing the spot where Kamisato Satoru had been standing moments earlier.

"Interesting. Looks like you’re still not convinced!"

Kamisato Satoru remained perfectly calm, standing motionless where he was.

The next instant, his entire body disappeared beneath the destructive bluish-purple torrent of dragon breath.

The attack contained tremendous destructive power. Every tree in its path was instantly pulverized, while even a thick layer of earth was forcibly blasted away.

"Brother!"

Seeing Kamisato Satoru swallowed by an attack of such magnitude with her own eyes, Kamisato Ayaka’s face immediately went deathly pale.

With a frightened cry, she desperately sprinted toward the center of the devastation.

"Cough, cough... That’s a lot of dust."

As the clouds of dust gradually dispersed, Kamisato Satoru stood there with a look of disgust, waving a hand in front of his face to clear the dust away.

Not a single speck of dirt could be found anywhere on him.

Aside from the tiny patch of ground directly beneath his feet, which remained completely intact, everything within dozens of meters had been reduced to a devastated crater.

"Brother! You’re really not hurt at all! You scared me half to death!"

Kamisato Ayaka hurried over and anxiously examined him from head to toe. Her hands were practically reaching for his clothes to pull them aside and check him for wounds.

"An attack this weak is nothing but a scratch. It’ll need another few tens of thousands of years before it can break through my defense."

Kamisato Satoru chuckled as he reassured her.

A purely Elemental attack like that was completely meaningless before his Infinity. Even if one of those disgusting Rifthounds that could inflict Corrosion attacked him, it probably still wouldn’t be able to penetrate his defenses.

After all, this defensive layer of his was an absolute domain that surpassed even Old Man Zhongli’s absurdly sturdy shield.
