The once-arrogant Stormterror was beaten until its agonized howls echoed through the sky, dragon blood raining down as though it cost nothing.
"All right, all right. That’s enough. How about letting it live?"
Just then, a smooth, androgynous voice softly sounded beside Kamisato Satoru’s ear.
Although Barbatos knew his old friend wouldn’t die, he truly couldn’t bear to keep watching.
"Oh? The Anemo Archon finally decided to show himself?"
"As expected of the god who’s best at slacking off in all of Teyvat. You really don’t do any actual work, do you?"
"Fine. Since you’re asking, we’ll call it here for today."
Kamisato Satoru casually threw out a few jabs before leisurely lowering his fist.
"All right, get lost. Don’t let me catch you causing trouble again!"
"ROAR—!"
Stormterror let out an unwilling growl.
You beat me so badly my own mother wouldn’t recognize me, and now I’m supposed to turn around and leave? How am I supposed to show my face in the dragon world after this?
"Heh. Looks like you’re still not convinced. Want another combo?"
"Cursed Technique Reversal: Red!"
A sphere of energy radiating an eerie crimson glow instantly condensed at Kamisato Satoru’s fingertip.
Within it was a terrifying repulsive force that seemed capable of rejecting everything in existence. It felt as though releasing even the slightest fraction of its power would completely tear apart the surrounding space.
"ROAR—!"
The instant Stormterror sensed that overwhelmingly dangerous presence, reality finally sank in.
Its previously defiant expression turned to fear. Without another word, it frantically flapped its enormous wings and fled toward the distant mountains with its tail between its legs.
"At least that overgrown lizard knows when to quit. Ran pretty fast, too."
Kamisato Satoru dispersed the glowing sphere in his hand and muttered in boredom.
Seeing that Dvalin had finally escaped with his life, Barbatos felt the enormous weight in his heart lift.
He had genuinely been afraid Kamisato Satoru might put on a live performance of Dragon Slayer: Mondstadt Edition.
At the same time, the god couldn’t help wondering just how someone who had come all the way from Inazuma could be this absurdly powerful.
With destructive power on this level, he could probably already stand alongside the upper-tier gods at the height of their power.
As the dragon departed, the storm clouds and tornadoes filling the sky dispersed as well, leaving behind only devastated streets strewn with debris.
[Template Synchronization Progress increased by 2.5%]
[Current Template: Satoru Gojo (Progress: 76.8%)]
Kamisato Satoru stared at the system panel floating before him and fell into thought.
Logically speaking, a battle on that level should’ve given him at least a five-percent increase.
Did he really have to beat the dragon completely senseless like a punching bag and leave it sprawled on the ground unable to move before the system would be satisfied?
Looks like I went a little too easy on it.
What a mistake.
He’d have to find an opportunity later to take Lumine and the others to the dragon’s lair and "catch up" with it.
Mondstadt had quite a few tough monsters that could take a beating. There was that giant wolf over in Wolvendom, the giant Cryo Regisvine beneath the mountains, and those multicolored Hypostases.
They might not be as famous as Dvalin, but they should still make decent targets for grinding synchronization progress.
After all, killing three of those disgusting Rifthounds had only given him a pathetic 0.1%.
That wasn’t even enough to whet his appetite.
"All right. Let’s head back first."
Kamisato Satoru’s figure flickered and instantly vanished from the skies above Whispering Woods.
The next second, he landed steadily on the stone-paved streets of Mondstadt.
"Brother!"
Seeing Kamisato Satoru land, Kamisato Ayaka, who had already returned safely to the ground, hurried over and waved enthusiastically.
"Ayaka, you weren’t frightened just now, were you? You’re not feeling uncomfortable anywhere?"
Kamisato Satoru looked down at his younger sister, undisguised concern filling his azure eyes.
"I’m fine. Don’t worry."
Kamisato Ayaka obediently shook her head, yet she couldn’t stop herself from staring at her brother’s now-uncovered eyes.
She silently marveled at them.
They were unquestionably the most mesmerizing pair of eyes she had ever seen in her life, as though an entire glittering sea of stars lay hidden within their depths.
"Lumine, sorry about that. I accidentally stole your spotlight."
Kamisato Satoru turned toward the conflicted-looking Traveler with a playful grin.
He knew that, under the normal course of events, this girl would have countless battles waiting for her in the future. Missing out on this one bit of combat experience wouldn’t make much difference.
"It’s fine. As long as everyone’s safe."
Lumine shook her head somewhat absentmindedly.
Truthfully, even with that mysterious voice guiding her inside her mind earlier, she wasn’t sure she could have dealt with a monster of that caliber.
Although she certainly had a soft spot for adorable girls, even she had to admit that Kamisato Satoru looked absurdly handsome without his blindfold.
Especially those eyes.
They were almost mesmerizing enough to draw a person’s very soul into them.
"Kamisato Satoru, you’re insanely strong! You actually drove off that legendary dragon all by yourself!"
Amber approached him with undisguised admiration, examining him as though she’d just discovered some incredibly rare creature.
"Oh, it was nothing special. I’m only a tiny bit stronger than the average person."
Kamisato Satoru waved a hand with feigned modesty.
