Back when he used to read web novels, didn’t systems always make a crisp little "ding" whenever they activated?

It sounded so friendly.

Unfortunately, this one didn’t even have a voice, much less somewhere he could leave an after-sales review. Otherwise, he would definitely have given it a bad rating.Full novel: Genshin: The Limitless Gojo — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Still, complaints were complaints. The power the system gave him was very real.

In the seemingly beautiful world of Genshin Impact, the underlying law remained the survival of the fittest.

Whoever had the most absurd combat power was the one who got the final say.

The waters of this world ran deep.

Current Host: Kamisato Satoru

Fusion Templates: Satoru Gojo (Current Progress: 73%); Sesshomaru (Locked—requires previous template to reach 90% progress); Authority of Life and Death; Saitama from One-Punch Man (Optimized and Improved Version)...

Awakened Abilities: Six Eyes, Limitless, Cursed Technique Lapse: Blue, Cursed Technique Reversal: Red, Reverse Cursed Technique

Equipped Weapon: None

Looking at the status panel, so bare-bones it might as well have had holes in it, Kamisato Satoru could only smile bitterly.

Any increase in strength had to be figured out entirely on his own.

The order of the templates seemed completely arbitrary. There was no discernible ranking by strength whatsoever.

There was even something called the "Authority of Life and Death" mixed in, which certainly didn’t look simple.

He figured there were probably even more ridiculous things waiting their turn farther down the line.

The craftsman who made this system must have been in a hurry to go to bed, slapped together a half-finished product, and tossed it out without even bothering to give it a proper name.

Would it have killed them to call it something like the "Ultimate Template System of the Myriad Worlds"?

At least that would have sounded impressive!

There were no Cursed Spirits in this land for him to farm for experience, and he had yet to challenge anything on the level of a true calamity, so most of the time, Satoru could only head into the wilderness and use Kairagi as training fodder.

The experience they gave was pitiful, but at least monsters respawned quickly enough that he could slaughter another batch every so often.

Ever since he had been a little seven- or eight-year-old brat, he had already been roaming the mountains and wilderness with a weapon in hand, hunting monsters.

He had kept it up for more than a decade, rain or shine.

Back when he had first started, the only trump card he possessed was the Six Eyes that came with his template.

His body had still been underdeveloped at the time, so even fighting a single Hilichurl would leave him drenched in cold sweat from exhaustion.

The closest call had come when a horde of frenzied monsters cornered him in a dead end. He had nearly died on the spot.

Fortunately, at the critical moment, he awakened Reverse Cursed Technique and managed to snatch his life back from the jaws of death.

The Cursed Energy within his body and Teyvat’s Elemental Energy were two completely different things.

Yet Cursed Energy worked unexpectedly well in Teyvat, with its source of power being the extreme emotions of the individual.

And Satoru could sense that the system had somehow balanced and optimized those powers, making them more versatile and stable than their original versions.

Closing the panel, Kamisato Satoru now had a fairly good grasp of where he stood.

With his current destructive power, there really wasn’t anything wrong with thumping his chest and declaring, "I’m invincible."

Of course, one should never speak in absolutes.

If that old man Zhongli ever got serious and dropped a Planet Befall on his head, Satoru figured he might still end up pinned beneath a mountain singing a very anxious tune.

When dealing with those ancient gods who simply refused to die, a minimum level of respect was still necessary.

He had a feeling that the next divine-level ability he would unlock would probably be Hollow Technique: Purple—the kind of attack that could practically serve as a nuclear weapon.

As for Unlimited Void, the Domain that could drive a person insane, he already had the beginnings of a vague inspiration and framework forming in his mind.

But Sesshomaru’s template was what truly made him itch with anticipation.

Whether it was Tenseiga, the blade capable of saving the dead, or Bakusaiga, whose attacks carried a continuous destructive effect, both were divine weapons he could only dream of possessing.

And the Authority of Life and Death made his heart pound even harder.

It meant he would possess dominion over the forbidden laws governing life itself.

He might even be able to ignore Tenseiga’s strict requirement that a corpse remain sufficiently intact and directly use that authority to forcibly return a dead living being to the world.

Power involving life and death was, regardless of the world or dimension, an ultimate mystery capable of making even gods tremble.

As for the template belonging to that bald guy Saitama, there was even less to say.

That was the purest possible aesthetic of power.

If someone annoyed you, punch them.

If a normal punch didn’t work, get a little serious.

And if that still wasn’t enough, just throw a few more punches until the other party exploded into scraps of flesh scattered across the sky.

Since the system panel looked so much like some unlicensed, unbranded knockoff product, Satoru only checked the progress bar every now and then for a little psychological reassurance.

"I wonder if killing Mondstadt’s Stormterror would make the template progress shoot up by a huge chunk."

Kamisato Satoru pondered the possibility silently, a dangerous gleam flickering in his eyes.

Ordinary small fry could no longer satisfy his appetite.

The scraps of experience they offered were far too meager, and the monsters were scattered all over the place, making them an absolute pain to track down.

Beside him, Kamisato Ayaka let out a quiet sigh.

She could practically imagine what outrageous things her scheming elder brother had written in that letter.

Back in Inazuma, Brother Ayato was probably so furious by now that he wanted to chew the letter to pieces and swallow it.

The enormous wooden sailing ship cruised across the boundless azure sea, surrounded by flocks of seagulls soaring freely through the sky.
