(Bonus Chapter)
The banquet hosted by Oceanus soon came to an end, and Theron returned to his void.
He didn’t take his chance encounter with Prometheus, the God of Foresight, to heart.
Regardless of what impact this God of Foresight would have on the world in the future, he was still far too young.
He had been born only a hundred years ago, making him little more than a child among the gods.
But it was precisely because he was still young that he developed a desire to get closer to Theron due to their connection through their divine authorities.
It was purely instinctive.
As he grew older, this instinct would gradually stop influencing him.
However, for now, he was still affected by it.
Thus, when Prometheus returned home, the first thing he did was seek out his father, the Titan Iapetus.
He wanted to learn more about Theron.
His brief encounter with him had made him realize that this deity was anything but ordinary.
His precognitive abilities told him that maintaining closer contact with Theron would be extremely beneficial to him.
Because of his young age, Prometheus had not yet fully grasped his divine authority.
He did not know what these vague “benefits” actually meant, but the uncertainty itself made him even more curious.
When Titan Iapetus heard Prometheus’s question, his expression became rather strange.
“You mean you met His Highness Theron in the Ocean Current, felt an instinctive desire to get closer to him, and your prophetic abilities told you that contact with him would benefit you?”
“Revered Father God, I really do have that feeling.”
Prometheus’s face was filled with anticipation.
“Could you tell me about his origins and background?”
Because of his foresight, Prometheus already knew that his father was aware of many things concerning Theron, which was why he had come to ask him.
Titan Iapetus stared deeply at his son, who was renowned for his intelligence, and fell into hesitation.
He did know something about Theron.
Like the other Titans, he had speculated that Theron was actually the God of Fate rather than the God of Prophecy, but there was no evidence to support that conclusion.
It was merely speculation.
However, there was no doubt about Theron’s mystery and power.
His divine power might not appear particularly impressive, having remained at the intermediate level for so many years, but after witnessing him interrupt the curse that the mighty Sky God had unleashed with all his strength, every Titan God understood one thing:
Sometimes, divine power meant nothing.
At least back then, even those who possessed immense divine power had been completely powerless to stop Uranus’s desperate gamble, let alone resist it.
Looking back to a thousand years ago, when Theron had first appeared before them, he had possessed only the faintest divine power.
Yet even then, he had already prophesied the fall of a God-King. This chapter is updated first at g.com.
When everything unfolded exactly as he had predicted, everyone realized that such a feat was simply beyond the capabilities of ordinary Prophecy.
Naturally, this caused apprehension and even fear among the Titans.
Centuries had passed since the reign of the First Generation God-King Uranus ended.
The Twelve Titans had never discussed the matter openly, but they had reached an unspoken understanding:
Remain silent about Theron.
Even if they had their suspicions, they would never speak of them.
If Theron truly was the God of Fate, then he would certainly be able to sense anything they said or did that involved him.
Even after Uranus’s destruction, the Twelve Titans had become the most powerful gods in the world aside from the Primordial Gods.
Yet after witnessing Theron’s extraordinary abilities, none of them were willing to offend him.
Under such circumstances, Iapetus naturally hesitated when faced with Prometheus’s question.
However, he soon realized that Prometheus had already met Theron, and Theron had shown no displeasure.
In fact, he had even said that their meeting was destined.
Under these circumstances, it should be safe to tell Prometheus.
If possible, Iapetus would certainly have liked to befriend Theron himself, but unfortunately, he rarely had the opportunity.
If Prometheus could establish a good relationship with Theron, that would be an excellent outcome.
With this in mind, Iapetus finally stopped hesitating.
He told Prometheus everything he knew in detail, including the Prophecy Theron had made a thousand years ago, which had ultimately come true, as well as the Titans’ suspicions regarding Theron’s true identity.
Finally, he warned his son in the most serious tone:
“Prometheus, you must never show any disrespect toward His Highness Theron.
He is a venerable and ancient being.”
“If your actions ever displease him, I will personally punish you.”
Prometheus quickly nodded.
Although he had already vaguely sensed that Theron’s identity was extraordinary, he still hadn’t expected his origins to be so mysterious and powerful.
He immediately gave a sincere promise.
“Revered Father God, please rest assured.
I will never do anything that displeases His Highness Theron.
I will be extremely careful.”
However, he was also curious.
“How do you intend to approach His Highness Theron?”
He had assumed that Prometheus would simply visit Theron’s void.
Unexpectedly, Prometheus replied:
“Since His Highness Theron told the Great King of the Gods that Cronus should create more life in this world, I’ll start from there.”
Iapetus was stunned by these words and subconsciously frowned.
“Prometheus, what are you planning to do?
You aren’t powerful enough yet.
Having offspring now could affect your divine authority.”
Prometheus was both amused and exasperated by the misunderstanding and quickly explained:
“No, Father God, I had no such intention.”
“I simply want to help the Great King of the Gods, Cronus, create more life.
I’ve already come up with some ideas.”
Iapetus nodded with satisfaction.
Deep down, he couldn’t help but marvel that Prometheus truly was his most intelligent child.
Since he had confirmed that Prometheus’s plan wouldn’t offend Theron, he no longer paid much attention to it.
Just as the Titan father and son finished their conversation, Theron, far away in the void at the edge of the world, suddenly sensed something.
He could feel his destiny fluctuating.
This meant that someone in the world was mentioning him, or that something related to him was about to happen.
With only a little investigation, Theron immediately understood the entire situation and couldn’t help but chuckle.
“Prometheus is actually trying to please me this way.
I have to admit, he really is clever.
And that is exactly what I want to see right now.”
Because this was another instance of Theron pushing fate forward, his divine power increased once again—and this time, by a considerable margin.
That indicated that what was about to happen would not be a trivial matter for the entire world.
“I hope this will lead to the birth of a Golden Human.
If it does, I’ll have to think of a way to reward him.”
Theron murmured to himself, growing increasingly excited about what was to come.
