The following morning, after preparing everything and having properly learned of the history of both the Arden and StagHart houses, at least the one presented in the books along with the basic privileges of magic nobility, he took the gold coin given to him by Arkor before saying the codeword.

“Meeting.”

With his words, he disappeared, the gold coin seemingly attaching itself to his palm so that he couldn’t lose it in the turbulence of space as he felt like a spinning top, one of the few games he had been able to play when younger with the other children before being kicked out of the village.Full novel: Harry Potter – Runic Lexicon — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Arriving nearly a full minute later, Lux lay sprawled on the ground in the side-hall of Gringotts.

The spinning seemingly never ended even when his feet touched ground, his vision still refusing to show him properly everything in front of him.

Taking a few minutes to rest and calm down his body, he started to wonder if requesting two portkeys linked to his suitcase had been an error.

After all, he wasn’t sure he was ready to repeat this terrible experience.

Yet, it was the only and best way to head back to his house once his meeting with Arkor was completed.

As such, with his shrinked suitcase in a necklace form after shrinking and transforming, he made his way into Gringotts main hall only to notice that there were a surprisingly large number of wizards and goblins standing in its halls.

Ignoring them all as they seemed to be looking for someone, he searched around for Arkor before slowly making his way to her.

On the way, a large number of goblins and wizards seemed to glance at him before turning away uninterested after seeing that he wasn’t the person they were looking for.

As he approached, Arkor saw him and from a distance motioned him to head to her office, the same one where they had done the inheritance test.

Nodding, figuring something important was currently happening, he promptly made his way to her office before taking some snacks on her tea table.

He knew she wouldn’t mind.

After all,he had been offered plenty on their last meeting and it was a rare opportunity to eat some sweets, something he never had the opportunity to do in the past.

It was only half an hour later that the office’s door opened before quickly closing once more.

“Oh, thank King Ragnuk you are here, Lux!” Exclaimed Arkor as she promptly set up the privacy wards in her office, runes flickering visibly for a moment before disappearing once more.

With light in his eyes, with deep interest in them, Lux wondered if she would allow him to study the runes yet before that, they had a meeting to complete.

“Hello Arkor.” He said, a smile appearing on his face.

Perhaps it was childish but she was one of the few people who showed him kindness ever since his magic had appeared making her a bit special.

Despite being only his banker, he considered her a friend of sorts.

“What was that about?” He continued, asking about the hundreds of wizards and many hundreds goblins actively searching for someone in the bank.

“They were all looking for you.” She said, a grin appearing on her face as she continued, seeing his lost expression.

“With you taking upon the lordship of Arden and StagHart, the two chairs of house Arden and StagHart have officially been activated meaning that both houses now have a lord.

Adding to the fact that both chairs have automatically been placed next to each other at the same height means that a wizard is officially the new lord of both houses.” She explained, proving her extensive knowledge of the Wizengamot and the details of nobility in Britain. This chapter is updated first at novelping.com.

“With the lordship confirmed, the lords of other houses came themselves or had their family members come to get as much information about you as possible.

As for the reason you were stared at, it was because they were examining if you could be the new lord.

Thankfully you didn’t come wearing the crest of your two houses or we wouldn’t be able to have this meeting.

On the other hand however, it will be known today or tomorrow that you are indeed the lord of both houses which will make you a prime target both positively and negatively to the other houses.” She finished explaining the details of the wizards before turning to her own race.

“As for the goblins searching for you, it is simply to present their own portfolio to become your banker and have access to your accounts.

In this way, not only would they have two new noble families to their name, but they would also make more profits by becoming responsible for more people.” She added with a slight grimace as she knew that with this, there were many chances that the young boy in front of her would head out to find someone else more experienced than her to deal with his accounts.

“I see.” He simply nodded before looking at the pile of documents on the table.

“So, are we starting the meeting now?” He asked, liking how the word ‘meeting’ rolled on his tongue, making him feel like an important person.

“Euh?

Don’t you want to find another goblin to manage your accounts?

They will certainly be able to help you make more money as they have more experience and accounts linked to their name to help the business transactions pass smoothly.” She said, a bit surprised but still explaining the benefits of going with someone else.

“No, it’s fine.

I’ll continue with you.” He said uncaring for the potential benefits.

After all, he was different from the other noble families.

He didn’t currently have a family and all he had was the high human bloodline which allowed him to transform willing people into subordinates.

Moreover, after reading about the effects of the StagHart’s High blood potion, he realized that not only could it extend life and improve their physique but it could even improve their magical potential making it so that he could technically become the head of an extremely powerful and loyal force in the future.

“Alright then.” She nodded her head, a small smile appearing on her serious face before it quickly disappeared.

Yet, she couldn’t hide the joy in her voice.

After all, as a new goblin banker, a female one and one who had neither experience nor noble vaults to her name, she wasn’t expected to be able to become the banker of a noble family for a few decades at the very least and that was if she wasn’t blocked due to her gender.

“So, I made a list of all current assets of both houses.

Then, we can head to your vaults and see what’s inside before coming back here and seeing if there are any investments to make to make your gold flow?” She offered as he nodded his head.

“Sure, let’s do this.”

Please note that the current situation might be different for a few assets due to the wards preventing me from doing proper research.

After all, the Arden and StagHart families have been gone for centuries.” She stated as she handed over a document of six pages, each page presenting a specified asset.

“The first one is the docks down in Sennen.

Unfortunately, they are completely broken and in dire need of repair.

They cannot be used as of this moment and the last amount of money made from the docks to your account was nearly four centuries ago when the Arden family battled the dark lord.” Said Arkor, showing the few pictures they had of the current docks.

Yet, despite the broken docks, the land was still the Arden’s and he could always repair them.

“The second and third are two shops in Diagon Alley.

One is a small shop and the other a large one.

While the shops were destroyed during a dark lord invasion, the land is still yours and as such you have the right to reclaim the location and the land rent cost as there are shops on both pieces of land.” She explained with a smile.

After all, if his vaults were empty, it was a good way to get their startup capital.

“The fourth is a small magic beast island near the shores of England.

The wards still stand even to this day but according to the information recorded here, the wards will most likely fall within a few years and as such you should repair them as soon as possible before the cost triples to remake them entirely.

As far as we know, the magical beasts should still live there since there has been no one taking care of the island, there is a lot of land reclamation to complete.

However, we cannot confirm the state of the beasts or the remaining species after these centuries.” She continued as he looked through the species that were supposed to be present yet couldn’t be confirmed.

“Next are two buildings.

One is a small-scale magic tower which is mostly used for magic experimentation requiring a lot of magic.

Due to its purpose, I cannot tell its current situation since it is once again hidden behind wards.” She said with a complicated smile as she couldn’t get much more information from there.

After all, back in that era, all information was quietly kept, not to be shared in case an enemy invaded.

“The second building is a mansion in Hogsmeade which is next to Hogwarts.

Yet, due to long-term inhabitation and lack of proper care, there will be a large cost to repair everything.

Once you access these buildings, we’ll need to send a team to see how much it would cost you to repair everything properly.” She completed as she closed the file with only six pages which were all of the assets of the Arden family remaining after all of these years.

Some others had been taken legally according to the ministry’s laws and as such, they had lost a lot.

Don’t make me beg for em’.
