~Welcome, heir of StagHart.
If you are here, it means that you have found my cave and passed my test.
Congratulations.
As you can see, few things remain in the vault of StagHart, most of our fortune having gone through my research as I anticipated the end of our bloodline and searched for a way to pass it on.
As such, you, the one who reads my letter are as much considered my child as you are your parents for my blood flows in your veins.
Now, I’m sure you are more curious about that sapling and the small egg.
Those two items were passed down in our family for centuries already and no one remembers where they come from.
However, after my research I can conclude that the egg is the egg of an extinct or extremely rare species of phoenix, the holy phoenix.
The holy phoenix is a rare variant of the more common phoenix such as the fire phoenix that has taken residency at Hogwarts for centuries.
Its main power not only includes teleportation but also healing powers that surpasses the common phoenix by five times and a link with all of its given tears.
The holy phoenix might have more powers but that is all my research allowed me to uncover from its egg state.
Now, the reason I didn’t hatch it was due to the egg being too weak to hatch during my time.
As such, I truly hope that when you, my successor, arrives, the egg will be able to hatch.
Simply touch the egg with the palm of your hand and should it still live, it will hatch.
Otherwise, I’m afraid it might never hatch.
Now, for the second item.
The tree sapling is known as the Bodhi tree, or at least that’s what I believe it is and if you know your mythologies as much as I hope you do, this is the same kind of tree that Buddha gained enlightenment from.
The reason it is currently in such a poor state is due to the lack of an extremely dense magical land.
I could unfortunately not increase enough the magical energy concentration of our land and as such, this task falls upon you and your descendants.
With this, I hope that you will make the StagHart name proud and make it resonate across the magical world.
“Wow.” Muttered Lux as he could feel the importance of both items despite knowing neither what a phoenix nor the Bodhi tree was.
However, he understood from the letter that helping the tree grow would be important while for the egg, it would be a small test.
Not touching the tree due to its seemingly weak appearance that could crumble upon itself at the slightest touch, he placed his palm on the egg as the letter requested him to do.
Perhaps he would get his own pet.
He had seen in the Hogwarts letter that he could bring an owl, a cat or a toad to Hogwarts.
While it was none of the three before, he guessed it would be fine to bring a phoenix?
As he touched, disappointment gradually filled him as he didn’t feel any changes from the egg.
Yet, as his palm stayed on the egg, warmth gradually spreading across it, a small change appeared.
It shook.
With his eyes lighting up, excitement filling his body as he would, for the first time, see an animal hatch from an egg.
He pulled his hand away, his eyes glued to the pure white cracked eggshell as the cracks became numerous, some small parts falling on the shelf, as small hints of pure white feathers could be seen inside of the incredibly ancient egg.
With a seemingly happy chirp, the egg finally completely broke open revealing the small creature in its depths.
The creature whose chirp had managed to lighten all pressure he had, seemingly uplifting his mood with its joyous chatter, was stunningly beautiful.
Its body was a pure white with seemingly mysterious golden lines starting from the tip of its tail all the way across its body.
Those slight markings however didn’t taint its beauty as they only showed how special this little phoenix was.
As he gazed at the small little being that had just come into life, the little bird also turned around, looking both confused and amazed by its surroundings.
However, everything changed the moment she took sight of the sole human in the room.
With yet another chip that almost managed to melt his soul, the bird took flight, albeit with difficulty, its wings having slight difficulty in supporting its young body as it flew hesitantly to his right shoulder, almost crashing on it as it landed.
With a smile appearing on his face, immediately intrigued by this magical creature, he slightly petted it on his head before turning around and heading to the vault’s entrance.
“I’ll call you Aura from now on.” He decided as he named the little phoenix on his shoulder who seemed all too keen with the name, releasing once again a joyful: Tweet~. You are reading on novelping(.)com, the official source.
As the young boy walked out of the vault, it immediately started to close behind him.
The gears making the door starting to shift as the once glaringly open vault gradually closed until all that remained was merely a small hole which closed up as well, blocking the entrance to anyone who didn’t have either the key or the Lord’s ring.
“All done.” Said Lux as he handed back the money scanner back to Arkor who stored it in the same cart as they both rode on, the cart immediately starting a seemingly high speed race with itself to see if it could reach the destination faster than before without crashing.
“Was everything to your liking?” Asked Arkor as she looked at Lux, intelligently asking if there was a lot of money and magical items in his vaults.
“How much does a piece of land cost in Diagon Alley?” He asked instead, unsure of how rich he actually was.
“A small-scale piece of land in Diagon Alley costs about 30,000 Galleons.” She started after thinking for a moment, her eyes still fixed on the rails the cart was rapidly traveling on.
“For a medium-scale land it would be about 90,000 and a large would range from 200,000 to 500,000 Galleons.” She stated as he nodded his head, not being as rich as he had originally thought.
It meant that most of his assets were in the fixed territories she had introduced to him earlier.
“In this case, I’m afraid that most plans will have to be put on hold and the repairs of everything coming first before development.” He stated as Arkor understood that there wasn’t much in the vaults.
Yet, despite everything, Lux wore a bright and happy smile.
50,000 Galleons was already a fortune he would have never guessed he could have had in the past, not to mention that in this trip to Gringotts he had found a new partner that was currently sleeping, nestled in the hem of his shirt under his robe.
Besides, all that money was more than enough to live splendidly for the remainder of his life if he wanted to.
“I see, no problem.” Stated Arkor as they walked out of the cart and back to her office where they would record their subsequent actions for both families’ assets.
“Alright.
So, is there anything you wish to plan before the beginning of your year at Hogwarts?
Once you are there, we will only be able to communicate through letters so it is better to sort all of the smaller problems.” She explained as she saw him nod.
Despite wanting nothing more than shop for a few pieces of furniture to fill his suitcase and head back to his cave to study until the first of September, he knew that he was lucky to be the Lord of Arden and even more to be the Lord of StagHart, something given to him and not inherited.
He had to make the efforts to bring back the crumbling finances of both families.
He had to be mature about this.
Same as always
