The following morning, on the way to Kings Cross from the Leaky Cauldron after a small teleportation with the portkey of his suitcase, Lux thought back to his overall mastery.
After those few months of properly learning magic, he had truly gone through each and every grimoire, learning as much as possible.
The only ones he had yet to properly learn were the family grimoire of StagHart as they were too advanced for his current level.
One thing he had noticed however, was the lack of improvement in the magical creatures and the herbology categories.
The only change had been their addition to the Runic Lexicon but their lack of exp signified his lack of true interaction with them.
After all, his only way to truly gain exp was by doing actions and reading only increased his exp gain rate.
He had thought he would gain experience simply by manipulating the materials as he brewed some potions.
Yet, just as he didn’t gain experience from handling completed potions, he didn’t get experience for handling already harvested, processed and sold materials.
As such, if he wanted more mastery in those subjects, he would have no choice but to visit greenhouses and various magical animals to study them properly.
‘I wonder how behind I am compared to the other students.’ He thought worryingly as he was fully aware of the long legacy of the noble families after reading about them.
Their heir would certainly have started studying and learning magic way before him, causing him to start behind everyone else which was one of the reasons for his constant and uninterrupted studying since discovering magic.
He had no intention of being behind everyone else and reaching the peak of magic was his sole and unique goal.
Having never had the chance of leaving Dale before encountering magic, he would explore the world someday, exploring relics of the past and ancient magic.
‘While I won’t be near the same level as the noble students in the school and those from magical families, I wonder how I rank amongst the others who only truly discovered magic a few months ago?’ Pondering over the situation, unsure of his standing and knowledge compared to the other students of his year, his heart remained tumultuous.

With a soothing chirp, Aura, hidden in his clothes moved slightly, directly calming the waves in his heart as the calmness of her chirp relaxed him.
“Hum?
Did you say something kid?” New chapters come out on g.com first.
As he was about to pet Aura as thanks for her timely intervention, the cab driver interrupted his action.
“No, I whistled, sorry.” Replied Lux with a white lie as the driver had most likely heard the chirp of Aura.
“Oh, it’s alright.
We’re almost there.” He said with a smile as he pointed at the station not far away.
“Do you need help to get to your train?” He offered with a smile as he didn’t mind taking a few more minutes to show the young man the right way.
“No thank you, I know where it is.” He replied with a thankful gesture as the man waved nonchalantly as they reached their destination.
With a quick payment, Lux unbarked and walked straight to King’s Cross without wasting any time.
He had arrived an hour and a half in advance just to give him enough time to find his platform in case something happened.
Walking slowly in the station, his eyes slowly searched for the number on the pillars and upon finding the first one, he grinned, following the direction Professor McGonagall had given him before leaving as he finally reached platform nine and ten.
Looking at the platforms and confirming that the pillar in front of him was the last one demarcating the difference between platform nine and ten, he slowly made his way straight at the pillar.
An old and large security guard seemed to be confused as he saw him walk straight for the pillar.
However, Lux soon noticed that his attention seemed to change as Lux reached a certain point near the pillar.
‘Oh, I see, a muggle-repelling charm or a ward.’ He nodded his head in his thoughts as he once more confirmed the pillar and finally walked through it.
As his leg went straight across the pillar, confusion settled on his face as he noticed that he seemingly went straight through a substance yet it didn’t block him in any way as he finally reached the platform.
‘Is it where they place the trace?’ He wondered as this place should be a location which every student had to go through every year and having them install the trace on their wand here seemed to be the most logical.
‘Well, but either way, the trace isn’t supposed to be attached since I am considered major in the magical world due to being the lord of a house.’ He grinned as he finally saw the red steam locomotive standing still near the platform.
Looking around and noticing that except for a few adults who seemed to be observing for the safety of the students, no one had yet arrived.
WIth a shake of his shoulders, he walked straight to the locomotive where a large number one was printed, his suitcase was in its necklace form held on his neck allowing him to embark without any problems as he went straight to the back of the train to search for a compartment to stay in.
With the resources of the noble families, they should have certainly learned that the new lord of Arden and StagHart was a new enrolling student of Hogwarts and as such, he was fully expecting some other noble students to come and introduce themselves and try to rally him to their camp at the request of their lord of house.
After all, after his research into the Wizengamot through the various books he bought, he understood that despite only holding two houses title, he wasn’t ignorable.
With twelve votes to his name in the Wizengamot, his votes could certainly tilt the balance to whichever side he stood on.
With a relatively balanced equilibrium between all three sides of the Wizengamot commonly known as the light, gray and dark sides, his votes could shift the balance of power with ease.
According to the Wizengamot laws, there were a total of 1000 votes separated amongst the various houses.
With a noble house having one vote, a most noble house having 3 votes, an ancient house having 2 votes and a most ancient house having 4 votes, he, as the lord of the most noble and most ancient house of Arden and the lord of the noble and most ancient house of StagHart, held a total of twelve votes.
Of course, twelve didn’t seem like much.
However, after various wars and destruction, many houses became dormant just like the Arden and StagHart before he reactivated them, meaning that the current total of votes before his appearance were only 284, meaning that each faction had around 94 to 95 votes each.
As such, his twelve votes weren’t to be spit on.
With a shake of his head, he would rather not continue thinking about this for the moment as all of his attention was on becoming stronger, learning magic and increasing his various masteries.
Yet, he also knew he wouldn’t be able to ignore them.
However, he believed that with the right words he wouldn’t be bothered with them for too long.
After all, it was clear that they were heading to Hogwarts to study.
Perhaps it wasn’t their goal but it was certainly his to become more knowledgeable about magic.
Soon enough, as time passed, through the window, Lux saw people start arriving through the wall leading to the normal section of King’s Cross station.
Looking at them, his nervousness increased once more before steadying himself, his occlumency taking action as he gradually calmed down.
He had lived alone in a dangerous cave by the endless seas for years, he wouldn’t allow himself to be scared or nervous of his beginning in a new location.
Especially since this time, he wouldn’t be alone, with Aura accompanying him in this new chapter of his life.
