Nora stood staring at the flames devouring the old house.
She felt like the truth was moving further away from her every time she got close to it.
She said angrily:
“Every clue we find disappears!”
Yeonho answered:
“That means we’re on the right path.”
Taeho looked at the files they had taken from the blue box.
“Maybe we still have a chance.”
The three of them went to a safe place and started examining the contents of the box again.
There were many papers, but one thing caught Nora’s attention.
A small blue notebook.
She hadn’t noticed it before.
She opened it carefully.
The first pages were blank.
But when she reached the last page, she found a strange symbol that looked like the blue mark she had seen in the warehouse.
And suddenly…
A folded paper fell out of the notebook.
She opened it quickly.
And it said:
She looked at Yeonho.
“What is this?”
The color drained from his face.
As for Taeho, he looked shocked.
Nora said worriedly:
“You both know this name, don’t you?”
Taeho answered in a low voice:
“I was afraid we’d find it here.”
“Tell me!”
Yeonho was silent for a moment, then said:
“Years ago, your father was investigating a secret project.”
“What project?”
“Project 07.”
Nora felt her heart racing.
“What does it have to do with my father?”
Yeonho answered:
“This project is the real reason behind everything that happened.”
At that moment…
Nora’s phone started vibrating. This story is hosted at g.com.
A new message came in from the unknown number.
She opened it quickly.
And it said:
“What should have stayed asleep has awakened.”
Then another photo was sent.
Nora’s eyes widened.
The photo showed a page from an old file.
And at the top of the page was her father’s name.
But directly below his name…
There was a list of other names.
And among them was one name that made Yeonho freeze in place.
“Impossible…”
Nora asked:
“What is it?”
He slowly raised his head.
The shock was clear on his face.
“My name is in the file.”
Silence fell.
And Nora no longer knew who she could trust anymore…
