It’s dark now.
The lights are off, the candle snuffed out, the computer powered down.
I’m in my futon, Saeko’s in the spare one a few feet away.
Sleeping with Kaori last night wasn’t like this, I was barely aware of her in fact.
She’s so small and quiet, I’m barely aware of her right now.
But I’m aware of Saeko.
A sleepover with a girl.
I can just barely make out her shape, the wan light from the street filtered through the curtains just barely suggests a mound lifted up from the floor, no chance of making out any details in the dark and without my glasses.
Is she facing towards me or away?
Is she looking at me?
I can’t tell.
I can faintly hear her breathing, regular and even, but is she asleep or like me still trying to achieve that?
[8-9 Queen’s Blade Enlightenment: Blow of the Dragon An episode where Leina fights Echidna for two days straight, solidifying her resolve for the battles ahead.
This grants Jiro a similar level of physical and mental stamina, where he could fight non-stop for a full day at least.
Or do any other strenuous activities one could think of.
This is before factoring in the enhancement he receives from his fairy contract with Kaori.] I do my best to try and put her out of my mind, rolling onto my stomach and feeling my stiffening dick get trapped under my belly.
I haven’t heard anything appear or felt anything different, so either it skipped this one or it’s something subtle.
Ultimately I do drift off to sleep, my dreams full of a nightmare version of Kuoh that’s been taken over by zombies that I’m constantly running and hiding from.
No matter how I run from them, it feels like moving underwater, and it’s a relief when I escape from their ever-closer clawed hands and snapping teeth to wake back up in my futon.
[9-10 Senran Kagura Miyabi/Estival Versus A description of Miyabi’s moves in the Estival Versus game.
This roll is applied to Saeko Busujima, and from her starting bonus has its power rating increased to 15.
Saeko gains access to Miyabi’s entire moveset, including her secret ninja arts listed below.
Delightful Inferno: Coats a weapon with an aura of dark flames which burn through defences and are almost impossible to block.
Purgatoria of Good and Evil: Summons a mass of phantasmal blood-red snakes which attack every enemy around Saeko.
Divine Judgment: Grows six feathered wings (three white and three black) and changes hair colour to the same black and white pattern.
This provides a vast boost to all all abilities, as well as the ability to telekinetically control her weapon (which grows in size as well).
Secret ninja arts are draining to use, but Saeko’s innate physical abilities and the roll’s power gives her a high compatibility with them] I sit up, dragging the blanket with me to expose Kaori’s tiny nude figure as she lays nearby, still asleep though she lets out a murmuring noise and I scoot out before laying the blanket back down to mostly cover her.
Saeko’s still asleep too by the looks of it, her dark purple hair and the collar of that borrowed shirt seen poking out of her own futon.
I feel pretty good, the nightmare ebbing from mind, and just a sensation of well rested ease settling on me.
But there’s no new insights of knowledge, no surprise guests, and no weird objects I can see.
My dick’s softening but it was definitely hard when I woke up, despite the lack of eroticism to my dream.
Did it skip a turn?
Or is the outcome something subtle?
Either way, since I’m the first one up I go to use the bathroom before anyone else.
Sadly there’s no soapy fairy-jobs on the agenda today, and even if Kaori had been awake I’d have felt awkward doing stuff with Saeko in the next room.
All cleaned up, I have to stop myself when I’m finished.
I’m used to just walking out in the buff and getting dressed in the middle of my apartment, and Kaori certainly didn’t get in the way of that the last couple days, but again I have to change my behaviour to account for the fact I have a guest.
And speaking of, Saeko is up now when I step out of the bathroom with a towel around my waist.
She’s sitting up in her futon, hair falling over her shoulders while Kaori stands naked next to her blanket-covered knee.
It’s the tiny blonde fairy who looks my way first, saying, “Saeko-san won the lottery this morning.” At my inquisitive grunt, Saeko looks towards me as well.
“New sword forms, and more than that.
Special techniques like you’d see in a movie.
Dark flames, summoned snakes, and… a transformation into a more powerful form,” she explains, her tone slightly dazed at first before her expression clears.
“Perhaps it’s best if I show you.” I feel kind of underdressed for this, but Kaori’s worse off so whatever, I just nod as Saeko gets up, showing a lot of leg in the process before she closes her eyes and focuses internally.
Then a plume of dark energy ignites at her feet and sweeps up over her body in coruscating waves, reminding me of the aura I saw around Rias when she attacked Nanael, it’s the same sort of consuming blackness except tinged blood red at the edges.
Then it condenses back into her, vanishing at the same time as six wings unfurl from her back.
Feathery ones like Nanael had, the ones on her left white, the ones on her right black.
Her dark purple hued hair similarly changes, becoming jet black on one side and snow white on the other.
“Holy shit!” That was me, Kaori just settles for a wordless gasp as she flutters into the air and positions close to my side where we can look at the now… nephilim?
I’m not that up on my occult terminology but Kaori probably knows, anyway, the half angel half fallen angel Saeko.
The wings also seem to have just gone through that borrowed shirt without damaging it.
Kind of like how Rias’s wings went through her uniform seamlessly when she showed them off.
More convenient than when I had to cut around that sailor top for Kaori’s fairy wings when I put her in that.
Turning her head to look at her new wings, Saeko smiles and says, “I was just thinking yesterday how useful flight would be after meeting you, Kaori-san.” Not that there’s really room for her to fly around here, her upper set of wings is already scraping the ceiling.
“Well, I wish I’d gotten that instead of this,” Kaori says tartly.
“Six wings, that would make you a seraphim, the highest order of angel written of in The Celestial Hierarchy.
That energy didn’t feel holy though, and with those black wings…” “I don’t feel like it’s changed how I think,” Saeko says thoughtfully, cupping her chin and looking down.
“It’s more like kinetic knowledge, different ways to fight and then this magical energy I can use.
Is this what it was like for you when you gained all that medical knowledge, Jiro-kun?” her eyes turn my way.
“Pretty much, yeah,” I nod.
“And the kung fu and ninja technique.
Knowledge but no memory of learning it, it’s just something I can do without context.” She closes her eyes and hums, holding her hand out towards where her sword lays against the wall at the far side of the room.
With just the slightest wiggle in place to presage what’s happening, it flies through the air to her hand, and that same dark energy from before surrounds it as Saeko unsheathes her blade.
And… keeps unsheathing it.
There’s a lot more sword than should fit inside that scabbard, which has me and Kaori staring wide-eyed before finally Saeko is holding what’s more like an over-compensating JRPG protagonist sword than the practical military blade I’d seen before.
Then she opens her hand and the sword rather than falling to the floor simply floats in place, rather like Nanael’s had done for her.
Is telekinesis just a default power for angels?
“It’s like an extension of my body…” she murmurs, the blade moving on its own through the air, and I take a few steps back because this apartment is really not big enough to be waving swords around in, especially not when they’re that size.
She seems to notice and her cheeks colour pink before she apologises.
“I’m sorry, this isn’t the best place to experiment with this,” she says, returning her sword to its sheath despite the fact it clearly shouldn’t fit in there.
She only has time to set it back down carefully on the ground before she staggers, her wings shrinking and vanishing as her hair briefly billows out and then falls back down once more in its original hue.
“Ahhh!” At her cry, I quickly move forward to catch her, Saeko falling most of the way before my hands grab her shoulders and her face bounces off the upper curve of my stomach.
If nothing else it’d give her a soft landing.
“Are you okay?” I ask worriedly, and because the world hates me I can feel my towel slipping and falling down over my legs at the same time as I do nothing more than try to help someone so they don’t fall over.
“Ah, Jiro-kun, that’s- I’m fine!” her hands dig into my sides as she pushes off against me and quickly turns away, her long hair swishing around me so I can feel it right against my junk before I hurriedly crouch down to retrieve my towel.
I don’t think it’s been long enough for my power to recharge, since I didn’t do anything funny when I was in the shower.
“Sorry,” I mutter, stepping away from her and getting a look at Kaori just smirking at the whole thing.
“That would only have been more cliché if you’d fallen and showed him your panties,” she comments, showing off everything herself.
“He’s already seen them anyway,” Saeko says, her voice sounding more delicate now though she still keeps her gaze off to the side.
Actually off towards where those lacy black underthings hang by the window.
“I just felt light-headed when the transformation wore off.
If you’ll excuse me, I’ll take the bathroom next,” stepping back and bowing, she scoots past me and into the relative safety of the bathroom.
My shoulders sag and I give Kaori a half-hearted glare.
“Communal living’s rough,” I mutter before I go to start getting dressed, nothing to worry about showing her at least.
In the end we somehow make it through the morning though.
I just step outside onto the walkway when Saeko needs to change, and I will say she does look good in the Kuoh Academy girls’ uniform.
Breakfast is just egg and rice, and I use more of the same along with some luncheon meat to make us some rather sad lunchboxes, as for now the cafeteria is an extravagance I can’t really afford even with Kaori’s generous contribution to the household finances.
Leaving the candle lit so Kaori can enjoy her magical succubus cosplay, and with her spell that worked so well yesterday to let her be out in the open without drawing attention, the three of us head to school.
Though even without people paying attention to the slutty looking fairy on my shoulder, the fact I’m walking to school with a beauty like Saeko draws notice.
I mean, she drew enough notice for us to get accosted by those guys yesterday, fellow students are definitely looking at the new figure, and probably wondering what the hell she’s doing walking alongside a guy like me.
No one actually interrupts us though, not before we reach Kuoh and see Shitori maintaining her usual vigil by the gates.
And unlike the common masses, she does look straight at Kaori, eyes wide behind her glasses.
I quicken my step, making sure no one else is immediately nearby before I speak quietly, “She’s using magic so most people don’t notice her.
Like your hypnosis, so it won’t cause a freak-out.” She relaxes a little at that, saying, “I do see an aura around her… still you should be more careful.
I don’t want another incident like two days ago.” “We’ll be careful,” I promise, though how much carefulness matters when one wrong erection can summon anything who knows.
“Also I want to talk to you and Rias about something, can we meet up at lunchtime in your office?” “The student council’s doors are always open, but if it’s something sensitive I’ll make sure we’re not disturbed,” she agrees, a gleam of interest in her eyes before we part ways, this not really something to discuss that much out in the open.
Instead I go and take Saeko to the faculty office to meet our homeroom teacher, before leaving her alone.
When I next see her, she’ll be the mysterious transfer student introducing herself to the class!
For once I actually go to the classroom a little bit early, finding Rias and Akeno present with both of them wishing me a good morning.
It’s a nice change from my usual routine that now the two hottest girls in class and probably the entire school are now paying attention to me.
Before I can ask Rias about lunch plans though, she says, “I wanted to thank you again for your gift, I used it last night and had so much fun, it wore me out completely!” Phrasing, Rias!
As I’m stunned by that and the eyes of our other classmates turn this way, Akeno throws her own fuel on the fire.
“She’s right, the President was all sweaty and red in the face like I’ve never seen her before… ahh, I mean from all the exercise she was doing with our other club members, what did you think I was talking about?” her innocent voice and hand resting daintily on her cheek do nothing to undermine the mischief in her eyes.
“Yeah, I wonder,” I say flatly in return, going to take my seat just behind and to the left of Rias’s, Kaori slipping off my shoulder and sitting herself in the cubby under my desk where she’s mostly out of the way.
She hasn’t said a word, as drawing attention to herself that way could break her stealth spell, but at least she’s not stuck cooped up inside my bag so it’s probably better for her.
If Rias and Akeno can notice her like Shitori did, they’re not giving anything away.
“Not wondering that hard though, I’ll need to step up my game,” Akeno says with a grin.
That whole ‘I’ll try not to be so stimulating around you’ thing didn’t last long, did it?
Not that I really mind, I mean, getting teased by a hot girl is novel and fun!
In any case, Rias does agree to my plan of meeting with Shitori at lunchtime, a gleam of interest in her eyes when I say I’ll explain then, and soon the bell rings and our homeroom teacher enters, the usual announcements and roll call before… “And today we’re welcoming a new transfer student, Saeko Busujima, I hope you’ll all be kind to her.” That’s her cue, and Saeko gracefully enters the classroom.
I’d told Rias and Akeno a little about her between afternoon classes yesterday, but this is their first time seeing her.
Their eyes are attentive much like the rest of the class – Kuoh’s not exactly short on beautiful girls, but Saeko is definitely in the top percentile looks-wise, and she carries herself with a graceful dignity that everyone seems to be picking up on.
Her self-introduction naturally goes over well.
“My name is Saeko Busujima, I’m interested in traditional Japanese culture, at my last school I was captain of the kendo club.
However I’m looking to change things and so at Kuoh Academy I’ll be joining the anime club.” Okay that last part did not go over well, I can practically hear the whiplash as heads turn my way to deliver all sorts of filthy looks, and I just grin.
Kind of self-conscious but mostly delighted.
It had been so satisfying to rebirth the anime club like a phoenix from the flames when we’d visited the student council yesterday.
“Hey you heard her, she’s a woman of culture,” I say unrepentantly, leaning back in my chair.
“Saeko-chan, if he’s blackmailing you you can tell us!
We’ll call the police!” one of the girls protests.
That’s a bit far, isn’t it?
My palms slap down on my desk, jolting Kaori underneath, “Hey come on, when have I ever done anything that bad?” I normally just keep my head down when badmouthed, but this is the first time someone’s gone that far into a concrete allegation.
Even better though, Saeko sticks up for me too!
“That’s not necessary, Jiro-kun has been a perfect gentleman.
Why yesterday he even protected me from two salacious men who tried to accost me in town.” “That’s not all!” Rias stands up at her desk, “Jiro-kun took care of me and helped me get to the nurse’s office yesterday when I was sick, you’re all being unfair!” Attacked by both the beautiful new transfer student, and the school’s best girl, the rest of the class wilts in shame and the girl who’d initially called out her objection gives a sullen, “Well, I guess he’s pretty harmless… sorry Onano, I went too far with that one.” “Ara, could this be the start of your popular period, Jiro-kun?” Akeno asks playfully from her own desk.
You know what?
Fuck it.
“If it is, you wanna give me your number, Akeno-chan?” And to my unbridled delight?
Her smile widens, and she scribbles onto her notebook before tearing some paper off, standing up and sauntering towards my desk.
Her breasts press into my shoulder as she leans in to place down the paper with her number and a cute little heart in front of me, and her voice tickles my ear.
“You better text me soon then,” she whispers before returning to her seat with an exaggerated sway of her hips.
[2-6 Bible Black Bible Black Merchandise Most Bible Black merchandise is figurines, and this page has a picture of a Kaori Saeki figurine, so Jiro gets one of those.
Due to the low power, this one is kind of sticky.] I can’t help but give her the reaction she’s fishing for, but rather than summoning a mean-spirited angel, instead a PVC waifu figurine of the sort I’d earlier been grateful I didn’t have when bringing Saeko home manifests on my lap, fortunately thus hidden from the rest of the class.
I hurriedly cram it into my desk cubby next to Kaori before anyone can notice, only barely getting a chance to see it’s some blonde-haired girl in a school uniform bent over on all fours.
Kaori gives me a dirty look as she has to make some room by scooting herself back in there, but that’s a her problem.
I have my own problems, though not of a kind I ever thought I’d have as Rias leans over from her desk and puts down a piece of paper with a number and a heart on it.
“You can have mine too, Jiro-kun!” she declares firmly, shooting a look over at Akeno now back at her desk who just giggles.
“Rest assured, as soon as I replace my phone, you’ll have my number as well, Jiro-kun,” Saeko says from the front of the class with an air of refined mischief in her own voice.
Help!
My lobster’s too buttery and my steak too juicy!
Having been content to let this comedy skit play out, now that it’s actually wrapping up the teacher assigns Saeko her seat at the back by the window, which may be a powerful place for a protagonist to sit, but I’m quite happy with my own seat which gives me a hot redhead in my field of view at all times, and actual classes can begin.
Of course I make use of the first quiet moment to sneakily put those numbers into my phone, except while I’m doing so I can see Kaori poking her head out and waving for my attention.
Looking down our eyes meet, and she gestures between herself and the little figurine that just appeared, lined up next to her so its still plastic face is looking out at me as well.
Huh, it’s basically the same size as her, isn’t it?
I just stare back though, not sure what she’s getting at.
She gestures between herself and the model a few times, before she looks annoyed and then places herself on her hands and knees, tilts her head and lets her mouth hang open and… holy shit!
It’s her!
It’s a figurine of Kaori!
She must have gotten what she needed from my expression because she nods emphatically before giving me a look that’s pure WTF.
I can only shrug helplessly because I have no idea.
She’d never given me any kind of indication she was famous in her world, so why would anyone make something like this?
It’s not something we can discuss during class, so all we can do is ruminate on our individual thoughts while sneaking looks at the artfully produced vinyl formed into a now life-size model of an occultist schoolgirl.
Since there’s time travel involved, maybe she would become famous somehow?
But she doesn’t really strike me as the idol type.
Or maybe she’s a character in a fictional property that would produce its own related merchandise and media?
I mean, a black magic schoolgirl, you could surely make an anime about that, and she’s definitely hot enough for it.
I’m not gonna lie, the thought that she’s some kind of anime character made real, it does actually make her sexier to me.
Sorry not sorry.
With all the mystery this has provoked, I really want to blow off my lunchtime meeting with the devils just to have a proper discussion with Kaori about this, but priorities and prior engagements mean we’ll probably have to wait until after school.
If nothing else, it does make a very appropriate topic for the inaugural meeting of the reborn anime club.
Still, when lunchtime does come Kaori latches onto me so I can leave with Rias while Saeko gets to enjoy being peppered with questions from our other classmates.
“So what’s this all about anyway?
I hope you’re not planning on joining… the student council,” Rias says, having to avoid being too blatant about the supernatural as we walk the crowded halls together.
Nevermind I’ve got a fairy in succubus cosplay hanging off my shoulder.
I’m not sure exactly how it works, but Kaori just doesn’t seem to exist for most people.
“No, it’s not that, but it’s something we thought you and her might be able to help with.
And it might be good for you too!” I say with a slight nod of my head towards Kaori on the ‘we’ since it had been her idea to go to them for a means to launder my medical knowledge.
She nods and then says softly, “That’s interesting magic she’s doing as well.
No one else even seems to notice.” While she doesn’t say anything, I can still feel the self-satisfied smugness radiating from her at receiving praise from a devil.
Speaking of devils, it does seem that in general they can see right through it, because when we reach the student council office plenty of people are looking directly at her rather than me or Rias.
“Onano,” there’s Shinra coming to greet me right off with a glare behind those glasses of hers, “Bringing your familiar to school is one thing, but no matter who you are this is still a respectable place of learning, you should dress her appropriately.” You know what, genuinely that is fair.
“I mean, if you can get me a uniform in her size…” I offer, since they’d been so generous about giving Saeko a free uniform too.
“What?
No!” Kaori immediately protests.
“This isn’t just for fashion, these clothes are a powerful magic item!” I shouldn’t laugh, but she kind of sounds like a chuuni when she says it like that.
Then the smaller figure of Shitori emerges from behind Shinra, looking up at us three newcomers, and says in a mild tone of voice, “We can let it go so long as she doesn’t disturb the other students, Tsubaki.
But still, you have been causing a lot of disruption lately, Onano.
If you considered joining my peerage, it would be easier to make allowances.” “Ahhh!” Rias lets out a noise of outrage from my side.
“Sona-chan, what are you doing trying to poach him?
I asked first!” Wow, Akeno might have been kidding but it really does feel like I’m in my popular period.
And I might not get a better opportunity than this, so I grin and pat my belly before saying, “Ladies!
Please!
There’s plenty of me to go around!” Shitori gives me a glacial look, and I hear a gagging sound from one of the other student council girls, but Rias only laughs and says, “You’re cute!” and that’s why she’s the best girl.
