“Alright, little cutie. Teacher promises to complete the task you assigned. The Paw Patrol is ready to set off. Baby, sit tight, we’re hitting the road~”

A tiny, palm-sized puppy acting like a little adult while speaking like that nearly melted Lu Yuelan’s heart. In order to avoid doing anything unfit for a teacher, she quickly straightened her posture and began her first cub transport mission.

The childcare instructor job had three types of tasks: feeding, training, and transporting. Each completed task would reward a corresponding gift pack.Full novel: Highway Survival, I Got Carried by Adorable Baby Creatures — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

The third task, transportation, was currently in progress. Once they reached the destination, it would be completed and she would receive a vehicle gift pack.

As for the first two tasks, Lu Yuelan thought about it and took advantage of a red light at an intersection where the car had to stop. She reached into the back seat and pulled out a boiled corn cob she had originally prepared for breakfast, then handed it to the little one.

“Teacher Lulu remembers she had a corn she didn’t finish earlier. I wonder if little cutie would like it?”

Lu Yuelan remembered that little wolf-dog types were supposed to eat meat. Unfortunately, she didn’t have any cooked meat prepared, only some raw meat.

If the little one hadn’t been intelligent, she would have simply given it raw meat directly.

But judging from how fluently it spoke earlier, its intelligence was clearly not low. Doing that would definitely not increase favorability; it might even make it misunderstand her, thinking she looked down on it or treated it like a wild, uncivilized puppy. It could get angry, knock over the raw meat, and cause the mission to fail, creating major trouble for future tasks.

“Teacher, if you want to eat it, eat it yourself. I don’t care for these little things. My family has plenty of them.”

The little Lang Tianya’s words would have sounded more convincing if he wasn’t staring straight at the corn Lu Yuelan had just taken out.

His proud little expression was just too adorable. Lu Yuelan suppressed the urge to ruffle his fur and deliberately lowered her head, pretending to look disappointed.

“That’s such a shame. Teacher’s already too full and can’t eat this corn. If I leave it too long, it’ll go bad. I was hoping the little baby could help me finish it… but I guess I’ve been rejected.”

“Hmph, fine, fine. Seeing how pitiful you are, I’ll help you eat it. To be honest, if you can’t finish it next time, just cook less. Wasting food is shameful, it’ll bring consequences.”

The proud little Lang Tianya quickly unbuckled his seatbelt after hearing Lu Yuelan’s words. Lu Yuelan wanted to say that they were still on the road and seatbelts shouldn’t be unfastened, but before she could speak, the corn in her hand was already snatched away.

Then, she watched in shock as the little guy used his chubby short legs to buckle his own seatbelt again. His movements were so smooth that he did it even better than an adult like her, leaving her slightly embarrassed.

It seemed she had underestimated the intelligence of this alien species. Comparing Blue Star creatures to them would only make her suffer losses, she would have to remember this in the future.

“Thanks for your help, little cutie~”

Beep—

A traffic police whistle sounded in the distance. Lu Yuelan looked up and saw the light had turned green. She quickly released the handbrake and shifted gears to drive off.

“Awwooo awwooo~”

Beside her, Lang Tianya was enthusiastically gnawing on the corn, so big it was almost larger than his body, adding a bit of flavor to the otherwise boring journey.

Driven by the idea of getting closer and building rapport, Lu Yuelan started chatting casually with the little one.

“Baby, aren’t you in class recently?”

“Teacher, you’re so strange. Isn’t today a holiday?”

Lang Tianya hugged his unfinished corn reluctantly and looked up at Lu Yuelan, his little face full of confusion.

“Haha, don’t be so serious, baby. Teacher was just testing little Tiantian’s reaction speed. Looks like our Tiantian is much quicker than I expected, Teacher concedes defeat.”

Lu Yuelan blinked her pretty almond-shaped eyes and made a playful face at him. It was obvious she wasn’t sincerely admitting defeat at all, more like a mischievous child pretending to surrender without any seriousness.

“Sigh, troublesome adults. You really can’t be helped. Fortunately you ran into me. If it were other kids, you’d probably get beaten up for talking like that.”

“Mm-hmm, my little Tiantian is the best~ Teacher will have to rely on you to take care of me in the future.”

“That’s easy. Teacher, as long as you come to our kindergarten and mention my name, I guarantee no one will dare bully you. And if anyone is bold enough to do so, just send me their name, I’ll deal with them for you.”

“Wow~ Tiantian is so amazing. Let’s add each other as friends then. Next time someone bullies Teacher, I’ll have a little helper to back me up.”

Lu Yuelan parked the vehicle at a spot and smiled as she picked up the wrist device that had suddenly appeared in her hand, signaling for Lang Tianya to add her as a friend.

An opportunity delivered right to her door, why not take it? In future occupational missions, if she was unlucky and couldn’t encounter cubs, she could just get this little cutie Lang Tianya to fill in and complete the task, securing her fixed salary.

Oh right, there was also the little guy’s favorite food, corn. Because time was tight, she hadn’t stocked up on much of it, so she needed to save it. In the future, she could make do with other foods for herself, while all the corn would be reserved for the little cutie, as repayment for his help.

Lang Tianya didn’t even get the chance to complain that Teacher Lulu was being way too familiar. He had only politely said a couple of words about helping her, and somehow she immediately latched onto it and climbed up the social ladder. Then he was dazzled by her sweet smile, completely dazed, and before he knew it, he had added her as a friend using his wrist device.

By the time he came back to his senses, Lang Tianya already regretted it. How could the dignified young master of the Heavenly Wolf clan be dazzled by a smile like that and end up agreeing to be someone’s “escort”? That was far too cheap of him. He almost wanted to immediately take it back.

“Alright, now Teacher and little Tiantian are best friends. From now on, I’ll be counting on Tiantian to guide me.”

Unfortunately, Lu Yuelan made it clear, once you boarded her ship, getting off was not an option. A flurry of sweet-talking easily pacified the little prideful wolf.

By the time they reached the destination, Lu Yuelan was still coaxing him, asking him to perform a backflip so Teacher Lulu could see how amazing little Tiantian was.

Lang Tianya, full of pride, actually did a backflip.

“So amazing! So amazing! Baby, do another one. Teacher isn’t nearly as good as you, I can’t even do a single backflip.”

This wasn’t entirely flattery. As a hopeless shut-in, she genuinely couldn’t do such a difficult move. Seeing such a small child do it so well, she truly admired him from the heart.

Lang Tianya looked at her sincere admiration and didn’t detect any sarcasm at all. Realizing she genuinely thought he was impressive, he became very pleased and obligingly performed several more backflips.

“Mm-hmm, Tiantian is amazing. It’s just a pity Teacher has to leave now, otherwise I could keep watching. What a shame.”

“Okay, goodbye Teacher Lulu. You can contact me by phone if anything comes up.”

Sigh, adults were always so busy. Just like his dad, who was never home all day. Only the butler and maids took care of him.

But those people only flattered him all the time, with nothing new or interesting. Unlike Teacher Lulu, she was beautiful, and her words were pleasant to hear.

Next time Teacher Lulu came by, he would go support her again and perform backflips for her, satisfying her wishes. He really was so considerate.
