A fierce battle was about to erupt.
….
Inside the castle, Lucius nervously poured a glass of wine for his master, not daring to make the slightest sound.
Voldemort took the glass with his withered hand and drained it in one gulp.
Then he suddenly burst into laughter.
“Master, why are you laughing?”
“That boy really dared to step forward.”
“Four dark wizards. Unless he’s still a baby in swaddling clothes, the outcome is already decided.”
Hearing this, the Death Eaters hurriedly smiled along with him.
Lucius cleverly added,
“Master, those Kamar-Taj dark wizards have no class at all.”
“They’re worlds apart from your followers.”
“Just look at their eyes.”
“They look like porcupines that have been beaten half to death.”
Several more bursts of laughter erupted among the Death Eaters.
Voldemort’s expression also became quite pleased.
“They really have no class.”
“All right, let’s continue enjoying this farce.”
“But you’d better watch carefully.”
“Next time we answer a question, I don’t want anyone making a mistake.”
Lucius immediately stood straight.
“Yes, Master.”
On the screen, the dark wizards stopped what they were doing when they saw Strange suddenly appear, all turning toward their master.
Kaecilius wore a smug smile, clearly pleased that his scheme had succeeded.
He asked in return,
“How long have you been at Kamar-Taj?”
“Little wizard?”
“Less than nine months.”
Hearing this, the smile on Kaecilius’s face grew even wider.
“May I ask your name?”
“Strange.”
“Very good.”
Kaecilius nodded.
His right hand suddenly transformed into a blade, which he drove straight into the guardian who had barely clung to life.
The entire movement was as swift as lightning, precise like a surgeon wielding a scalpel during a routine operation.
The guardian collapsed to the ground.
Kaecilius tightened his grip on the blade and turned toward Strange.
The wizards in the livestream room were somewhat stunned.
This dark wizard killed as casually as an experienced professional.
Clearly, he had killed countless people.
[Chat Group]
[Ron: What a monster! Anton, run!]
[Harry: That’s terrifying. What happened to that wizard? Can he still survive?]
[Cassandra: The blades wielded by these wizards are imbued with Dark Magic that cannot be healed. Even Dittany won’t work.]
[Harry: They’re all lunatics. Every one of them.]
[Harry: Anton is actually going to face these lunatics alone.]
[Snape: These people should be locked in Azkaban for the rest of their lives. I wonder if Kamar-Taj has a similar prison.]
[Albus: If it doesn’t, I’d be more than happy to contact some friends at the Ministry of Magic and help them build one.]
[Grindelwald: Their attacks are quite ruthless, but their methods are rather showy.]
[Voldemort: Anyone who wishes to accomplish great things must have blood on their hands. If you ask me, he should be more decisive and eliminate everyone.]
[Albus: Riddle, I’m quite concerned about your mental health. After parasitizing another person, you seem to have become even more twisted.]
[Harry: Anton, run! Don’t fight lunatics head-on.]
Facing the dark wizard who had just killed someone, a flicker of astonishment crossed Anton’s expression.
Then it returned to calm.
With a raise of his hand, an energy whip formed in his grasp.
It shot toward Kaecilius.
He was caught slightly off guard.
By the time he reacted, the energy whip had already lashed across his body.
The powerful magical force staggered Kaecilius.
Kaecilius asked in surprise,
“You really have only been learning for half a year?”
Strange didn’t answer.
His other hand had already begun channeling magic.
Another bright yellow energy whip appeared in his hand.
Kaecilius was even more astonished.
“An energy whip in both hands?”
“Did you create this magic yourself?”
Strange nodded.
“Yes. I made a few improvements.”
Kaecilius’s gaze immediately turned vicious.
“You can’t be allowed to live.”
He charged forward.
The magical blade in his hand suddenly thrust out.
The blade flashed with green light as it stabbed straight toward Strange’s lower abdomen.
Strange used his energy whip to deflect the blade, then nimbly dodged to the side, avoiding Kaecilius’s attack.
The battle quickly became a stalemate.
The two wizards fought from inside the building all the way outside.
Every one of Kaecilius’s strikes was aimed at a vital point, and the magical blade in his hand possessed power comparable to an Unforgivable Curse.
Strange, meanwhile, defended with remarkable agility.
He fought at close range, skillfully wielding the long energy whip and using it in ways that neutralized many attacks that should have been fatal.
The Hogwarts wizards were amazed by this completely different style of wizarding duel.
[Flitwick: Agile evasion, light footwork, clear purpose.]
[Flitwick: This duel reminds me of my youth! But doesn’t this dark wizard know too few spells?]
[Flitwick: If he kept using those Unforgivable Curses, the battle might be much easier for him.]
[McGonagall: Don’t underestimate that dark wizard’s blade. It’s extremely well suited for killing, and it doesn’t even require an incantation.]
[McGonagall: It’s just as deadly as Avada Kedavra.]
[Snape: Don’t underestimate that dark-eyed wizard. His movements are extremely nimble, and he can evade quite a few spells.]
[Snape: If they fought purely with magic, he might not necessarily lose to him.]
[Grindelwald: You can tell that he has a genuine determination to kill.]
[Voldemort: Hmph. He hasn’t even killed his opponent after fighting for so long. That dark-eyed wizard is nothing but an incompetent fool.]
[Voldemort: If he came to our world, I’d show him what true Dark Magic looks like.]
[Ron: Beat Harry first, then talk.]
[Harry: Hahahaha, well said, Ron.]
[Voldemort: You, you two little brats!]
The duel continued fiercely.
Kaecilius’s moves became increasingly vicious as he realized that his aggressive attacks were accomplishing nothing.
He was even beginning to sweat.
After all, even experienced guardian sorcerers couldn’t normally fight him for this long.
Yet this novice wizard, who had only been practicing for two years, actually possessed such ability?!
Urgency turned into anger.
Anger gave birth to jealousy.
At this point, Kaecilius had abandoned any intention of defeating his opponent honorably in a one-on-one duel.
He gave a signal to the two followers beside him.
“Get him!”
The three immediately moved, blades in hand, chasing after Strange.
Strange was equally alert.
He turned and ran toward the exit.
Seeing this, Kaecilius waved both hands.
The corridor suddenly stretched out.
It became an endless racetrack.
The door that had originally been within reach was pulled infinitely farther away, stretching for several miles.
Yet Strange continued running ahead. New chapters come out on g.com first.
Seeing this, the three dark sorcerers stepped onto the walls, each holding a blade as they raced toward Strange at incredible speed.
Clearly, Strange’s performance had already shaken them.
Strange turned to face his enemies.
He raised both hands horizontally.
Two scarlet shields appeared in his hands.
Kaecilius quietly spoke the name of the shield.
“You even know the Shield of the Seraphim?”
“Are you really an apprentice?”
“Yes.”
As soon as he answered, Strange sidestepped an attack from one of the dark wizards.
With a flick of his hand, he transformed the shield into a whip and instantly sent the dark wizard crashing to the ground.
He raised his hand again.
The whip transformed back into a shield, blocking another dark sorcerer’s fierce attack.
Seeing his two companions being toyed with by this young wizard like a pair of clowns, with one of them already terrified, Kaecilius became furious.
The livestream room erupted with cheers.
[Flitwick: A dueling genius! Anton! You absolutely have to join my dueling club! That move just now, turning the shield into a whip, has the makings of a champion!]
[Flitwick: This is his very first duel! Watching this is making me itch to get back into the action!]
[McGonagall: Professor Flitwick, please contain your excitement. Anton hasn’t escaped the danger yet.]
[Ron: I don’t think those idiots can do anything to Anton.]
[McGonagall: That’s difficult to say. Those dark wizards are accustomed to using despicable magic, and those spells are all deadly.]
[Voldemort: Hmph. Followers are often idiots. Only a handful of them are actually useful.]
[Grindelwald: That’s only true for your followers. Mine are quite decent.]
The battle continued.
Strange toyed with the two dark wizards as though a cat were playing with mice.
They stabbed at him countless times, yet couldn’t even touch the hem of Strange’s robes.
The sight drove Kaecilius into a fury.
He shoved aside the companions who were too afraid to advance and charged forward.
Strange immediately looked behind him.
Behind him was the World Window of the Sanctum.
Three enormous windows led to three different areas: a desert, a rainforest, and a snowy mountain.
An idea immediately came to him.
He suddenly moved aside.
The enraged Kaecilius charged straight past him and plunged headfirst into the desert, getting a mouthful of sand.
Strange hurriedly shifted the space and trapped Kaecilius inside.
The remaining two followers tried to pursue him.
Strange showed them no mercy either.
He manifested energy whips in both hands.
One for each arm.
He bound them tightly.
Then, with a casual pull, he hurled them straight into the magical window.
Without the slightest hesitation, he immediately pressed the transformation button on the window, changing the scene and preventing the three of them from returning.
The entire sequence flowed together seamlessly.
In only a few minutes, the four dark wizards who had arrived so aggressively had all been dealt with by Strange.
A thunderous cheer erupted throughout the chat group.
[Flitwick: Anton! Never before have I felt such a powerful desire to keep a student. I never had it before, but now I understand. You belong in Ravenclaw!]
[Luna: The Headmaster is right. Anton, if you come here, I can help you answer the password questions every day.]
[Harry: That was amazing to watch. I never knew wizard duels could be this interesting.]
[Snape: Don’t underestimate wizarding duels, Potter. If that opponent had been anyone other than Anton, he would have been pierced by that dark wizard’s blade long ago.]
[Flitwick: That’s what you call dueling talent!]
[Flitwick: Now that frightening monster with those terrifying eyes definitely won’t be coming back.]
Just as he finished speaking, the scene on the screen continued.
A hand suddenly reached out from the middle of the magical window.
Kaecilius had returned.
