The soft light of dawn slowly spread across the garden, bathing the towering spires in warm golden sunlight.
Morning dew shimmered on the flower petals, and the cool air carried the refreshing scent of grass and earth.
Birds chirped peacefully among the distant trees while the entire Garden Spire gradually awakened from its nightly silence.
In the middle of the garden stood a handsome silver-haired boy holding a knight’s sword.
Swish!
A sharp flash of cold steel sliced through the air.
Adam moved with surprising speed and precision.
His sword cut downward like a streak of silver lightning, carrying enough force to create a faint whistling sound.
Swish!
Swish!
Swish!
He continued practicing one strike after another without pause.
Although he was only eleven years old, his posture was steady and disciplined.
Every movement looked refined, as though he had trained for many years.
Not far away, a House-elf holding a clean towel watched quietly.
“Young Master,” the elf said respectfully, “breakfast is almost ready.
You should wash up before the food gets cold.” Swish!
Adam completed one final slash before slowly lowering the sword.
He exhaled deeply.
“Phew…” Thin wisps of white mist escaped from his mouth in the chilly morning air.
Only then did he sheath the sword at his waist.
Ecter immediately walked forward and handed him the towel.
“Thank you, Ecter.” Adam smiled faintly as he accepted it and wiped the sweat from his forehead.
Compared to Lance’s serious and stubborn personality, Ecter was much gentler and more attentive.
The House-elf always took care of every little detail within the Garden Spire.
Including Adam himself.
“It is my honor to serve Young Master Adam,” Ecter replied with a respectful bow.
“The hot water is already prepared.
You may bathe first before coming downstairs for breakfast.” “Alright.” Adam nodded casually.
Then, as though it were the most natural thing in the world, he placed one hand on Ecter’s shoulder.
The next instant— Pop!
Both of them vanished from the garden.
A second later, Adam appeared directly inside the bathroom while Ecter disappeared once again to continue preparing breakfast.
Adam looked at the large marble bathtub filled with steaming hot water and sighed comfortably.
“Magic really is convenient…” Even after living in this world for over ten years, he still found wizard magic fascinating.
After all, in his previous life, teleportation and instant heating only existed in fiction.
But here, they were ordinary daily conveniences.
A short while later, Adam finished bathing and changed into clean clothes before heading downstairs.
The moment he entered the dining hall, he froze slightly.
The massive table was completely covered with food.
Fresh bread, butter, fried eggs, roasted sausages, fruit pies, bacon, honey cakes, grilled tomatoes, pudding, and several dishes Adam couldn’t even identify filled nearly every inch of space.
Adam blinked.
“Is breakfast this grand today?” Ecter appeared beside the table with visible excitement.
“Of course, Young Master!” he said cheerfully.
“Today is the anniversary of your trip to Diagon Alley to purchase your school supplies.
Naturally, it deserves a proper celebration!” As he spoke, a glass of milk floated gently toward Adam’s left hand.
“And tonight,” Ecter continued proudly, “I have already prepared an even larger feast to celebrate Young Master obtaining his very own wand!” Adam couldn’t help smiling.
Ecter loved anniversaries.
To the House-elf, every single day of the year represented some kind of meaningful occasion.
The anniversary of the first snowfall.
The anniversary of planting flowers.
The anniversary of buying new curtains.
The anniversary of polishing silverware.
No matter how small or ridiculous the reason sounded, Ecter would happily prepare a celebration meal for it.
“I’m already looking forward to dinner,” Adam replied honestly.
Truthfully, he didn’t dislike Ecter’s habit at all.
The Garden Spire was enormous, yet only three beings lived there—Adam, Lance, and Ecter.
Without some occasional excitement, the place would feel unbearably empty.
Meanwhile, standing near the wall, Lance quietly curled his lips in disapproval.
Fortunately, Ecter didn’t notice.
Otherwise, the two House-elves would probably begin arguing again.
Unlike Ecter, Lance hated unnecessary celebrations.
In his opinion, such things were meaningless distractions.
However, because Adam supported Ecter’s ideas, Lance could only endure them silently.
Adam naturally noticed Lance’s expression but chose not to say anything.
Instead, he calmly sat down and began eating breakfast.
As he picked up a fork, he quietly spoke within his mind.
“System.” A translucent blue screen instantly appeared before his eyes.
Only Adam could see it.
Name: Adam Ambrosius Age: 11 Class: Wizard Subclass: Alchemist Talents: White Magic Affinity: SSS Dark Arts Affinity: D High-Speed Incantation: C (Ability to accelerate spell casting) Skills: Herbology Lv.2 (400/1000) Potions Lv.2 (1000/2000) Magizoology Lv.2 (800/2000) Astronomy Lv.1 (600/1000) Transfiguration Lv.2 (640/2000) Alchemy Lv.2 (1570/2000) Swordsmanship Lv.2 (1100/2000) Spells: Repairing Charm Lv.3 (120/3000) Levitation Charm Lv.3 (110/3000) Petrificus Totalus Lv.2 (300/1000) Expelliarmus Lv.3 (310/3000) Points: 0 Adam stared silently at the familiar screen.
This was the system that had accompanied him ever since he transmigrated into this world ten years ago.
It was called the Mentor System.
It was also because of this system that Adam realized he had entered the world of Harry Potter.
The system itself was relatively straightforward.
By teaching others and helping them improve, Adam could gain points.
The deeper a student understood his teachings, the more points he would earn.
Every one hundred points granted him one gacha draw.
The rewards varied greatly.
Sometimes he obtained spell proficiency.
Sometimes magical knowledge.
Sometimes alchemy-related items.
Occasionally even rare spells.
Unfortunately, Adam had noticed one frustrating problem.
Out of all his draws, nearly everything had been proficiency experience.
“At least ninety percent of the rewards are experience points…” Adam muttered inwardly.
He seriously suspected the system was secretly cheating him.
Otherwise, how could his luck possibly be this terrible?
Still, despite the disappointing rewards, the system remained incredibly useful.
Without it, Adam would never have progressed this quickly at such a young age.
Especially his terrifying White Magic Affinity.
SSS Rank.
Even Adam himself didn’t fully understand what that level truly represented.
But one thing was certain.
His talent for white magic was absurdly monstrous.
On the other hand, his Dark Arts Affinity was laughably low.
A miserable D Rank.
Whenever Adam attempted to study dark magic, his progress became painfully slow.
Compared to his overwhelming talent in white magic, the difference was almost embarrassing.
“That’s probably why becoming a Dark Wizard is impossible for me,” Adam thought helplessly.
Back when he first awakened the system, he had even briefly imagined himself becoming some hidden mastermind controlling the wizarding world from the shadows.
Unfortunately, reality quickly crushed that fantasy.
With his talent distribution, he was practically born to stand on the side of light.
After finishing breakfast, Adam prepared to leave for Diagon Alley.
Since Ecter needed to stay behind to prepare the evening feast, only Lance accompanied him this time.
Lance carried a large suitcase while Adam adjusted his coat calmly.
“Take care, Young Master!” Ecter shouted emotionally at the entrance.
“We’re only going to buy school supplies,” Lance replied flatly.
“There’s no need to sound like we’re going to war.” “Hmph!” Ecter glared at him angrily.
Adam sighed helplessly as usual.
The two House-elves argued almost every day.
Fortunately, it never escalated beyond verbal bickering.
“Alright, we’ll return before dinner,” Adam said with a smile.
Then Lance placed one hand on Adam’s shoulder.
Crack!
The surrounding space twisted instantly.
A moment later, they appeared outside the Leaky Cauldron on Charing Cross Road in London.
If ordinary Muggles stood here, they would only see ordinary bookstores and music shops lining the street.
However, in the eyes of wizards, a shabby little pub stood hidden between the buildings.
The Leaky Cauldron.
Adam looked at the familiar signboard with interest.
Even after visiting several times before, he still found the hidden magical world fascinating.
Inside the pub, the atmosphere was dim and somewhat shabby.
Old wooden tables occupied the corners while several wizards sat around drinking and chatting quietly.
The smell of butterbeer and smoke filled the air.
Having visited many times already, Adam casually greeted the bartender before heading toward the backyard with Lance.
There, Lance raised one finger and tapped several bricks in a specific pattern.
Three up.
Two across.
Rumble… The wall slowly began to shift.
Bricks folded and separated apart until a large archway appeared before them.
Beyond it— Diagon Alley.
The bustling magical street stretched into the distance, overflowing with noise and life.
“No matter how many times I see this place,” Adam said softly, “it still feels incredible.” Bright sunlight reflected off stacks of shining cauldrons outside the nearest shop.
A large sign read: Copper, Brass, Pewter, and Silver Cauldrons — All Sizes Available.
Self-Stirring Models in Stock.
Nearby, a witch stood outside an apothecary complaining loudly about potion ingredient prices.
From another dark shop came the constant hooting of owls.
A sign above the entrance read: Eeylops Owl Emporium — Tawny, Barn, Brown, and Snowy Owls.
Several children around Adam’s age crowded around a broomstick shop window, staring excitedly at the newest racing broom on display.
Further ahead were robe shops, bookstores, magical equipment stores, parchment sellers, telescope shops, and displays filled with strange silver instruments whose purposes Adam couldn’t even guess.
Shelves overflowed with spell books, potion bottles, quills, crystal balls, moon globes, and countless bizarre magical items.
The entire street felt alive with magic.
Adam slowly smiled.
Finally— His Hogwarts journey was about to begin.
Give me more motivation!
