The Creation Divine Revelation?
Lucian remembered it.
It was the prophecy left behind after the death of the Titan of the Burdened World, Kephale.
It was the central theme of Amphoreus’s future fate—the journey to ignite the flame.
He clearly remembered that Kephale’s death should have happened ten years ago, on the very day Mortis fell from the cliff.
“It seems that my appearance caused some subtle changes.
Or perhaps this script doesn’t follow the game’s storyline.” For a moment, he really couldn’t figure it out.
Then he heard Tribios murmuring another prophecy: “Overturn the gods—Return the flame—” “…” “Everyone will part with one person, while that person alone will witness a miracle—only one person can survive until the end and witness the ‘Re-Creation of the World.'” Sure enough, it was time for Tribios to obtain the authority of the Pathway.
Lucian thought about what he should do next.
Perhaps making Tribios become a demigod was the key to completing the script.
In any case, making Tribios stronger could only be a good thing.
“Big Brother Lucian, I’ll tell you a secret.” Tribios was eager to tell Lucian about the prophecy she had heard.
(As shown in the picture.) But Lucian beat her to it and took her hand.
“Let’s go.
We’ll find Yanis and obtain the Pathway’s flame.” “You already knew everything?” Tribios stared at him with her big eyes.
Deep down, she felt a little disappointed.
She had wanted to see the surprised look on Lucian’s face… When they returned to the Hall of the Threefold Fate, Mortis had already been waiting for quite some time.
She had naturally heard and understood the divine revelation of the Titan of the Burdened World, and she had guessed that, given Lucian’s personality, he would definitely return immediately.
So she had personally come to the entrance to wait for them.
Just as she expected, Lucian and Tribios soon appeared before her.
Mortis took her daughter’s hand and spoke gently.
“My child, you’ve grown up.
It’s time for you to take my place.
Go find Yanis.
After that, you will become the new Saint who delivers divine revelations of Yanisopolis.” Tribios nodded firmly and entered the temple alone.
In the original storyline, Great Tribios would sneak inside to obtain the flame, only to be discovered by the guards and branded a traitor who had blasphemed against the gods, after which she would be hunted down all the way.
But things were different now.
Mortis was the ruler of the Holy City, while Lucian was the Divine Envoy.
Here, Tribios held a position second only to the two of them, above everyone else.
“Please make sure you protect her.” Suddenly, Mortis gently embraced Lucian, her hands resting against his back.
“I can see it.
Her feelings for you are just like mine… That’s why, all these years, she has never called you father.
If you’re willing to accept her, please take good care of her.” Lucian held the delicate red-haired beauty in his arms and gave a quiet “Mm.” He wasn’t surprised by how things had developed.
The reason humans had rules concerning age and relationships was because their lifespans were short.
As the saying went: “You are born before I am, while I am born when you are already old.” But long-lived species did not have such regrets.
Feelings changing in this way was commonplace.
One simply had to get used to it.
After a long while.
Tribios finally came out.
She was holding the flame in her hands.
It was a crystal radiating flames, engraved with the totem of the Titan of the Pathway.
“Next, I have to go to the Gate of Myriad Paths.
Only after passing through that gate can I completely master the authority of the Pathway.” Tribios looked at Lucian and asked: “Can you come with me?” Her expression was somewhat complicated, clearly hiding something on her mind.
“Of course.” Lucian nodded and immediately took Tribios with him.
Along the way, Tribios kept stealing glances at Lucian’s face.
She couldn’t stop thinking about the conversation she had just had with Yanis.
[Yanis: The one who guides all people will have their soul separated through a fork in the road, shattering into a thousand incarnations like colored glass thrown onto the ground… Tribios: That’s exactly what I want.
This is destined to be a long journey.
With a thousand versions of myself accompanying me, I’ll never be lonely.
Besides, I still have my mother, and I have him.] Thus, the words of fate revealed to Tribios: “You will shatter into a thousand pieces, live forever, and be separated from the one you love.” She could accept the part about splitting into fragments.
But the phrase about being separated from the person she loved deeply worried her.
She couldn’t shake the feeling that this prophecy was saying that Lucian would eventually leave her… Soon, they arrived at the Gate of Myriad Paths.
From far away, Lucian could already see the enormous stone gate towering into the clouds.
Legend said that it had been created by Yanis to communicate with humanity.
Beside it stood another creation of the Titan, Yanis’s Hound.
“It seems the time has finally come to fulfill that promise.” Lucian sighed for no particular reason.
Tribios tilted her head.
“Promise?” “When you were eight, you gave me a family portrait.
I told you that once you grew up, I would grant you eternal life.
Now you’ve grown taller, you’ve become an adult, and you’re very beautiful.
You can receive the blessing of Abundance.” Lucian extended his hand toward Tribios, green light swirling around his fingertips.
“If I accept the blessing, will you leave me?” Tribios took a step back and asked.
Lucian froze for a moment.
Judging by her expression, if he answered that he would leave her, she would probably refuse immortality.
“Heh, of course I won’t.
If you don’t accept the blessing of Abundance, you’ll be more likely to die.
In that case, you’ll be the one leaving me.” Hearing this, Tribios immediately understood.
She stepped forward and voluntarily pressed her forehead against Lucian’s fingertip.
She accepted the blessing of Abundance.
And so, the “live forever” part of the Titan’s prophecy came true.
Tribios tightly embraced Lucian, burying her head against his chest.
“If I shatter into a thousand pieces and I’m no longer myself, will you still like me?” “Then I’ll like a thousand versions of you.” Lucian gently stroked her head and comforted her.
Tribios raised her head and met Lucian’s deep eyes.
Three seconds passed.
She quietly rose onto her tiptoes and lightly pressed her lips against Lucian’s.
Then she broke free from his embrace, ran toward the Gate of Myriad Paths, and passed straight through it while holding the flame.
Lucian stood frozen in place, raising his hand to touch his lips.
That warm, soft sensation had been wonderful.
If only it had lasted a little longer.
Buzz~!
Suddenly, a sharp sound wave came from the Gate of Myriad Paths.
White light burst forth, so bright that it was almost blinding.
When the light faded, Lucian looked toward the enormous stone gate again.
He saw a group of tiny figures.
A red-haired little girl looked at her palms and muttered to herself: “I became smaller?” Another red-haired little girl laughed and shouted: “And there are more of us too!!” (End of Chapter)[Thanks for Reading!]
