“He saved the Saint!” “Who is that?

How can he fly?” “Could he be someone from the Sky City?” “He doesn’t look like someone from the Sky City.” After a brief silence, the crowd erupted into discussion.

Just moments ago, the Saint had fallen from the cliff, leaving everyone so terrified that their minds went blank.

By the time they came to their senses, the Saint had already been saved.

The believers raised their heads, all eyes falling upon Lucian.

However, even after staring for a long while, no one could figure out where this man had come from.

Especially with such an incredibly handsome appearance—he clearly wasn’t a local.

Damnatios stared gloomily at the two figures suspended in midair.

She had been just one second away from watching the Saint fall to her death.

Once that happened, the authority over all of Amphoreus’s Titan revelations would have fallen into her hands.

Yet somehow, a man had appeared out of nowhere and ruined everything.

“Since she didn’t die in an accident, then she’ll die from an assassination by foreigners.” Damnatios immediately activated Plan B.

She sent someone to notify the assassins hiding within the Hall of the Threefold Fate.

They were all foreigners whom she had picked up when they were young and trained as death warriors.

That way, no one would ever be able to trace the killings back to her.

Meanwhile, Lucian held the beautiful woman in his arms, standing in midair as though he were an envoy of the gods.

A beam of light illuminated half of his handsome face, making him look even more divine.

Mortis finally recovered from her despair and realized that she was being held tightly in the arms of an unfamiliar man.

For a moment, she didn’t know whether she should feel relieved that she had survived or embarrassed by how intimately she was pressed against a man…

All she could feel were a pair of strong, powerful arms supporting her.

Even though they were a hundred meters above the ground, she felt an inexplicable sense of security.

“Who are you?

Why did you save me?” Mortis looked at Lucian with confusion and asked softly.

Normally, all of the Saint’s guards in the Holy City had already been replaced.

Everyone around her was now one of Damnatios’s people.

And yet, someone had actually stepped forward at the critical moment and saved her.

Doing so meant standing against Damnatios.

But this lifesaver was someone Mortis had never met before.

“My name is Lucian.

I’m a divine envoy.” Lucian smiled as he looked down at the red-haired beauty in his arms.

She was like a frightened stray cat, waiting for someone kind to comfort her.

“I like beautiful things, such as you.

Would you stand by and watch something you like be smashed to pieces?” Of course not.

No one could watch something they cherished being destroyed and remain indifferent.

Mortis gently shook her head, understanding what Lucian meant.

If someone else had spoken so bluntly about liking her, it would have been nothing more than lust at first sight.

Yet when the words came from Lucian, Mortis felt neither offended nor repulsed.

Instead, she inexplicably felt at ease.

Perhaps it was because he was an envoy of the Titans.

“You are a divine envoy of the Titans.

Please punish those who have lost their reverence for the Titans, and guide those who have lost their way back onto the right path.” Mortis clasped her hands together and made her plea to him while still in Lucian’s arms.

The sincerity and earnestness in her eyes made it difficult to refuse her.

Lucian wanted to make contact with Tribios, and approaching her mother first was a good choice.

“But…” Before he could finish, more than a dozen sounds of something slicing through the air rang out.

Whoosh!

Whoosh!

Whoosh!!

More than a dozen arrows shot toward Lucian and Mortis.

They were clearly aimed at taking their lives.

Lucian’s thoughts shifted, and a barrier immediately appeared around him.

The arrows stopped three meters away from Lucian, suspended in midair as though they had been frozen in place by an invisible force.

Mortis’s thoughts became complicated when she saw this.

She hadn’t expected those people to have so many ways of trying to kill her.

Even if she hadn’t died from the fall today, she would have been shot to death by a barrage of arrows.

And there might have been even more methods…

If she hadn’t encountered Lucian today, she would have died without a doubt, and her daughter would have been persecuted as well.

The thought made her increasingly furious.

And she wasn’t the only one who was angry.

The smile had already disappeared from Lucian’s face.

He glanced at the source of the arrows, then looked toward the old woman standing at the entrance of the hall.

Killing intent surged in his eyes.

“Ungrateful trash.

You’re no different from those people in the Senate.” Lucian had always been the type to repay grudges—and he never let them wait until the next day.

“Disarm!” “Disarm again!” Lucian’s eyes gleamed as his gaze locked onto Damnatios.

The next second, the old woman was stripped completely from head to toe, even the ribbons around her feet being removed.

Her clothes seemed to come alive and burst apart on their own!

“The Grand Magistrate’s clothes exploded!” Someone shouted, and the sensitive words instantly drew everyone’s attention.

“Shameless!” “That’s indecent!” “It’s black…

eugh~” In an instant, everyone’s eyes turned toward Damnatios once again.

A middle-aged woman being stripped naked in public and stared at by countless people was undoubtedly a form of punishment.

At this moment, Damnatios still hadn’t recovered from her shock.

She had no idea what had happened.

All she knew was that she was now completely naked.

Her two hands weren’t enough to cover everything, so she could only shield the most important areas.

“Don’t look!

None of you are allowed to look!

If you keep staring, I’ll gouge your eyes out!” She screamed desperately.

Perhaps because her embarrassment had reached its limit, she could no longer maintain the dignified image of an official.

“Pfft~” Mortis burst out laughing in Lucian’s arms.

She seemed quite pleased to watch her mortal enemy make a fool of herself.

The power of the gods truly was miraculous.

A single sentence could leave a mortal without a shred of clothing.

Lucian was very satisfied with the effect of Disarm.

Although this was merely its basic application, it was still quite amusing.

“Is she the only one who wants to kill you?” Lucian asked coldly.

Mortis nodded.

“Mm.

The others haven’t completely fallen out with me yet.” “Good.

Watch this.” Lucian raised his hand and pointed.

The power of Abundance condensed into more than a dozen seeds.

He flicked his fingers, and the Abundance seeds shot out like bullets!

More than a dozen green streaks appeared in the air—the afterimages of the seeds.

In the blink of an eye— Bang!

The bullet struck Damnatios directly between the eyebrows and pierced straight through.

Immediately afterward, the seed began to grow from the ground.

In just ten breaths, it had grown into a tree with golden leaves, with Damnatios’s corpse hanging from one of its branches like a fruit…

There was even something strangely artistic about it.

Then came the second corpse, the third, the fourth…

There were fifteen corpses in total!

The remaining corpses naturally belonged to Damnatios’s death warriors—the ones who had fired the arrows at Lucian.

The believers stared dumbfoundedly at the enormous golden tree that had grown out of nowhere.

“The Grand Magistrate is dead.” (End of Chapter) [Thanks for Reading!]
