Shing!

A flash of cherry-blossom pink from the blade appeared and disappeared in an instant.

Outside Senba Academy, sharp slashes burst out from all directions.

The zombies on the street were cut apart in seconds, their limbs scattered everywhere.

“That… that ruler blade is insane,” Kiana said.

She fired a few shots, dropping a zombie, and turned her head just in time to catch Evanescia’s shocking slash.

“Heh~ Miss Kiana, don’t look down on this ‘Spiritbranch of True Law’.

When it first showed up as a blade 150 years ago, even a simple swing could cut a mountain in half.” Evanescia smiled and gently ran her fingers over the pink, blade-shaped ruler in her hand.

“Eh?

Slice a mountain?” Kiana’s eyes bulged.

“Pfft~” Zane couldn’t help but laugh.

If Kiana realized that breaking mountains was just the start, she might actually cry.

“So, it really is a sword?” “Nope.” Evanescia shook her head, her smile turning a bit mysterious.

“Eh?” “She already called it a ‘Branch’.

Let’s not get distracted.

Right now, saving Raiden Mei comes first.” Zane reached out and ruffled Kiana’s hair.

“Right!

Mei!” Kiana snapped back to reality.

“Mei and I are both in the second year of the High School Division.

Once we get through the gates, just head straight… Ugh, never mind, I’ll lead the way!” The group hurried toward the gates of Senba Academy, careful not to step on the gross, chopped-up zombie remains.

Only Silver Wolf rode her hoverboard, blowing bubbles with her gum and ignoring all the gore and bodies around her.

—•——•——•——•——•——•— The school gates had long been crushed by the swarming zombies.

Ahead of them was a big crowd of zombies.

They wandered across the track, hallways, and flowerbeds, groaning in strange, broken voices.

They really did look like puppet zombies.

“Stay in the middle.

Just tell us where to go,” Zane said, looking back at Kiana.

“Got it.” Kiana gritted her teeth and clenched her fists.

‘Damn it!

I’m still too weak.’ The young girl swore to herself that she had to get stronger.

Soon, the smell of living people stirred up the dead on campus.

All the zombies turned their heads at once.

Their hollow, glowing red eyes fixed on the group.

With loud shrieks, they attacked from every side.

Some stumbled forward like normal zombies, while others dropped to all fours and charged like wild animals.

Zane was just about to make a move.

“I GOT THIS!” Silver Wolf called out first, eager to jump into the action.

Everyone stared in surprise as Silver Wolf reached for the empty air.

Glowing pixel blocks appeared and quickly formed a pixelated ‘Ultra-Ultra Greatsword’.

The blade was at least three times longer than her small body.

“Watch and learn!

This is what a real wipeout looks like!” Silver Wolf yelled as she charged straight into the swarm of zombies.

She unleashed her ultimate attack right in their faces!

She swung the Ultra-Ultra Greatsword in a huge arc, sending out a perfect, spinning slash.

Girl and sword became a blur, spinning into a wild pixel tornado.

Whoosh!

Whoosh!

Whoosh!

Slice!

Slice!

Slice!

The zombies that leaped at her were shredded to pieces in a flash.

The spinning ‘death windmill’ whipped up a fierce tornado, sending Silver Wolf right into the heart of the horde.

Zombies that weren’t cut up were pulled into the vortex, spun around at high speed, and tossed into the air like wet towels.

At that moment, Silver Wolf was unstoppable, racking up a huge kill streak like a god of death.

After spinning clockwise, she flipped her wrists and sent out a counter-clockwise tornado of destruction.

Whoosh!

Whoosh!

Whoosh!

The campus turned into her playground as zombies dropped all around, either dead or badly hurt.

“…” The rest of the group stared in awe.

Kiana, in particular, felt like her whole worldview was being shaken.

The gamer girl who seemed the most harmless and innocent was actually the toughest of them all?

“Hsss…” Kiana took a quick breath and glanced at Zane.

“Has Silver Wolf… always been this hardcore?” Zane smiled.

“When she was Level 0, she took on a quest to hunt a hundred Level 5 gray wolves.” Kiana went numb.

Compared to her, she felt like a dead weight.

—•——•——•——•——•——•— “Miss Silver Wolf is so interesting~” Elysia stared for a moment, then her pink eyes lit up.

Right above Silver Wolf’s head, translucent green numbers kept popping up in rapid succession.

[EXP +1] [EXP +1] [EXP +10] Soon, her level tag flashed gold, jumping from LV.

11 to LV.

12.

“She leveled up just like that?” Furina was shocked.

She had never seen anyone treat real life like an RPG, grinding monsters for EXP.

“I kind of want to know what my level is,” Miyabi Hoshimi said, touching her head.

She was secretly relieved they were teammates, not monster NPCs for farming EXP.

“Let’s go!” With Silver Wolf clearing the way, Zane led the girls onto the campus.

As they moved ahead, Zane didn’t show off.

He just took care of the few stragglers that got through.

Evanescia was the same way.

She seemed to be just having fun, enjoying every moment.

If she had been serious, her last slash might have split the Earth in two.

“It’s that building on the left!

Mei and I have a class on the fourth floor!

If she’s still alive, she definitely would have tried to get to the rooftop!” Kiana shouted, pointing as she ran.

Zane looked up.

He remembered the original story: Raiden Mei had jumped off the roof, and Kiana caught her just in time.

Sure enough!

A tall, slender figure stood at the edge of the rooftop, looking lonely but determined.

Every little bit helps the story survive and grow!
