“So, what do you guys think? About the magical world…” I asked my parents.

After bidding farewell to Daphne and her family, and exchanging contacts, and of course, inviting them over for dinner next weekend, we had returned back to home, and now was the time for discussions about future actions.

“If what I have seen is all there is to them, then they aren’t worth considering much… Give it a few years and we can clear them like rabble without superpowers, just relying on technology. To be honest… I am a bit disappointed.” David’s face was one of deep thinking as he said that.Full novel: HP/DxD: Annihilation Maker doesn’t wish for Annihilation — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

“True, except for some elites, the general level of Wizards in both brains and lifestyle, is… horrendous. Of course, Daphne is an exception, I am totally rooting for you two!” Emilia said, although her expression was of slight disgust about wizards, as soon as she mentioned Daphne, her face did a complete one-eighty.

“Good observation. Wizards are really not worth paying much attention to, threat wise, of course. But they are exactly what I need, I need a complete magic system, and wizards have them. Although Wizards might not seem like much now, but you have to remember, even the legendary Merlin was a wizard. And, I can’t really sneak in to learn magic from Gods, now can I?” I chuckled.

“Indeed… if you can learn all the magic of the legendary Merlin, you would become one of the strongest, I suppose.” David nodded.

“Haha… it’s not that simple… Even Merlin couldn’t be counted amongst the true top tier beings… This is our racial limitation, as humans.” I sighed, humans really had too many weaknesses.

“True, but you don’t need to be the strongest, just being strong is enough… Being the strongest is not as good as it sounds.” Mom said slowly, as she ruffled my hair gently.

“No, you don’t have to console me, I have already planned my way out of it, there isn’t much to worry.” I waved her off, like come on, if I couldn’t think of a solution after six years into this world, I would have been a shame of transmigrators.

“Have you? Let’s hear about it then.” David asked.

“Hmm, amongst the several races of this world, there are Dragons, who are weak to Dragon slayer magic. There are devils, who are weak to Holy magic. Angels are weak to corruption magic. Almost every race has it’s own weaknesses, but not humans, there are no specific weaknesses amongst humans at all. And the reason is… Humans are simply too weak, there isn’t a need for a weakness at all, and no one has ever even bothered to create a true Human slayer magic, because there hasn’t ever been a need to.” I said solemnly.

“And… how does that relate to what we were talking about?” David asked puzzled.

“I am getting there! I paused for the dramatic effect!!” I shouted, then coughed, going back to serious mode.

“As I was saying, Humans are weak, and everything comes to us at a cost, humans can’t just naturally grow stronger… Therefore, to become stronger, to rank amongst the top of the world… I have decided, to stop being… just human. Which, technically, I am not even now, since I am a wizard, but you get what I am saying.”

All I needed to do was go beyond human, evolve further, become…

better.

“Yeah, I have a question about that.” David asked, unusually serious.

“What?”

“Yeah, that’s skill issue on your part, don’t blame me for your lack of brains.” I replied smugly, clearly not taking his outburst to mind.

Emilia started giggling hearing my words, clearly enjoying the conversation.

“Alright you little twerp, spit it out.” David said and sat down, his hands under his chin, staring at me intently.

“Of course… noob.” I smirked.

“Annihilation maker- Balance Breaker- Imaginary monster creation: Imaginary monster- Evolution monster, type Hogyoku.” I raised my palm and said as if it were a chant.

And a monster looking like a glowing orb of light appeared in my hand.

This was the answer I had arrived to in search for methods of reaching the top.

Humans can’t grow stronger?

just evolve little bro.

“This is a very special monster…

before achieving balance breaker, I did not even dare of creating anything similar.

Its purpose, is very simple…

It would stay inside me, and continuously absorb my magical energy…

Astronomical amounts of it, which would weaken me a bit, actually…

But…

Once it reaches a breakthrough point, it would result in a desirable evolution.

Evolving through every aspect there is.

I will slowly but surely, grow towards perfection.” I said with a very very proud smirk.

“Holy…

shit…” David whispered, then, changed his tone, “Uhum, that’s my son, as expected of my sperm.”

“Excuse me!!! My contribution was way more significant!!! Nine months!!!” Emilia started arguing with David, and the two started bickering.

While I, after my grand revelation, sat there in silence, ignored.

Embarrassed, feeling like an idiot.

“Sigh… Nothing can be done about these two…” I sighed, and left the place, leaving the two to argue amongst themselves.

Back in my room, I closed the door, and moved towards the mirror.

Looking at my reflection, and the glowing monster in my hand, I let out a sigh, then, with a deep breath, I plunged the monster towards my chest.

Unsurprisingly, the monster phased through, reaching towards my heart.

For a second, nothing happened.

Then, all of a sudden, I felt my magical energy rushing towards my heart, as if rushing towards a black hole, forever to disappear.

My total magical energy reserves continued to fall, until it reached somewhere between mid and high class level.

But I could still feel my magical energy regenerating, but it all rushed towards the Hogyoku, channeling it with energy supply at all times.

“Holy shit… How much energy does it even take… It’s not even one percent full, at this rate, it would take over a year, just for a single evolution to finish.” I exclaimed in shock, the magical requirements for accomplishing evolution was…

much higher than I had previously estimated.

Maybe I should just let the Hogyoku do its job while I complete my very necessary magical studies from Hogwarts…
