“Are these spells even useful? They look very much like parlor tricks, don’t they? Magic’s pretty underwhelming, honestly.” David asked skeptically as he watched me perform the very first spell I learned.
Meanwhile, I was dumbfounded hearing his words, ‘isn’t this just the first spell, a simple Lumos…
what was he expecting, Avada Kedavra?’
“Yeah… you think they would teach a killer spell for the first spell a first year student learns? This is basically a flashlight, a lumos. Of course, everything in the current year books is going to be harmless stuff, the real stuff would be at Hogwarts library, where they probably have a ton of magic. From what I know, Hogwarts is basically the only wizarding school in Britain, and it has existed for over a thousand years, therefore, they must have information about nearly everything.” I shrugged him off.
“Meh, I still think your physical training is better than this, throwing punches have more feel.” David said while curling up his arms to showcase his nearly nonexistent biceps.
“Yeah, and how do you think that physical enhancement came to be? It’s natural energy, basically a form of magic, which, by the way, we don’t know how to use, except using it to strengthen us.”
“Hmm, but now that you have your evolution monster working on you, you should be able to use it efficiently, right?” David asked.
“Dunno, really… I mean I guess, I can’t really control the evolution, I just know that it would be for the best, besides I just need to go to Japan to learn using Senjutsu, it’s not that big of a deal. Alright, let me read all the books in peace, now shoo, don’t disturb me. I don’t need your useless critics.” And I shooed him off, not listening to him anymore and returning back to reading.
And so, a few days passed.
Today was the day Daphne and her family were coming for a visit.
And I had promised Daphne that I would take her out for shopping and a movie.
She was really fascinated at the prospect of movies, Wizarding world did not have anything similar.
Except, perhaps, moving pictures.
But they are different from movies.
So, of course, we selected a very nice movie- Beauty and the Monster, a classic Disney movie and this world’s satire version for Beauty and the beast.
“The movie was good, but it’s nothing compared to the clothes… You were right, Wizarding fashion sense is somewhat outdated.” Daphne said as she twirled, showing off her dress.
“Somewhat? I don’t think you call centuries as somewhat, Daphne…” I complained blankly.
“Oye, what are you criticizing wizards for, don’t forget, you are now a wizard too! Now that you have learned to cast spells, there’s no excuse.” Daphne said with gritted teeth.
“Heh, unlike you, I can wing both sides.” I shrugged her off casually.
“You know, you guys are in the public… And trust me, that sounded very much like a proposal to stay by his side at all times… No, wait… Are you doing it on purpose? Are you actually proposing? Am I just third-wheeling here?” The one who said this, was Astoria…
She had been dragged along with me and Daphne, she was excited at the start…
but now, you could practically feel the annoyance from her voice.
“W…What NO!!! What are you talking about?!” Daphne shouted, her face completely red, and the flustered expression on her usually emotionally blank face was…
unexpectedly cute.
“Not helping there Daphne… not helping.” I sighed.
Then continued, “You know what guys, let’s head back, we have been out for quite a few hours now… And, don’t you want to go on a Helicopter ride? If we are too late, you two might not get the permission from your parents.” Hearing my words, their attention shifted completely.
According to them, there was a certain annoying boy, cough *Draco* cough, who would repeatedly brag in the parties held by the pure blood families that he once escaped from a Helicopter with his broom.
So now, when the two girls came to know that my family had several helicopters, they were very excited to ride it, probably just to brag to that annoying boy later.
After a very non-eventful flight, the day finally came to an end.
The reason I dismissed that day so casually was simple…
it turned into a common occurrence.
Until the day arrived for us to leave for Hogwarts, Daphne had already pulled me over three more times, the reason, in her words being, “To explore the mysterious muggle world.”
I even had to take her to my personal Arcade room, which had her completely hooked.
But the least of my worries was not Daphne, I quite enjoyed her company, in fact.
It was my own mother.
Daphne had visited four times.
Which brought the total number of times we had met to five.
So, imagine my surprise when one day suddenly, my mother came to my room, saying,
“Damien, you have grown up now, you are leaving for Hogwarts tomorrow… and you and Daphne are really close. Of course, I will not stop you guys, you are free to do whatever you want, but remember one thing.” She said, her face one of utmost seriousness. This chapter is updated first at g.com.
Then…
She handed me…
A pack of condoms.
“You must use protection when you do it. You guys are too young.” I don’t know how she managed to do it, but her expression was still that same seriousness.
“Mom… We’re eleven…” I said exasperatedly.
“I know. That’s why I said that you must use protection, you guys are too young.” She nodded, still serious.
Is she rage-baiting me?
“I don’t know where you bought it from. But that size is too small to fit.” When you don’t understand your opponent’s plan, discard all plans and do something which makes the opponent think, ‘What the fuck is he doing’.
So, I did just that.
“Oh my!!! Really? These are your father’s, you know?” Yeah, she was definitely rage-baiting me.
“I don’t know what your plan is, but I will ignore you. And for the record, Boys and girls have different dorms. And, it’s not even necessary that we will be in the same house.” I said blankly, escorting her out, and shutting the door.
I let out a sigh…
‘They sure are a handful…
But I will miss them.
I don’t know if my decision to tell them everything was right or wrong, they could have just known about me being a wizard…
But I believe it is better for them to know everything and prepare.
Since I have not received the standard isekai package, and have parents, I will keep it that way, I would hate sudden character development.’

Yeah, i increased the pace for this chapter slightly, mainly to start Hogwarts arc, the story was going a bit too slow.
The pace will return to normal after this chapter.
