Xu Lian took out her wristband and contacted Lin Zhaocai.

Then, she gathered all the permission codes and data she had secretly obtained from Song Jinze’s wristband, packed everything into a file, compressed it, and sent it all to Lin Zhaocai.

Xu Lian: “Take this file, but don’t open it.”Full novel: I am a Spy, But I Swapped Bodies with the Enemy Commander — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Lin Zhaocai: “Huh?”

Xu Lian: “It’s fine. I set viewing permissions. You won’t be able to open it before the time anyway.”

Xu Lian: “Remember this—starting now, every 12 hours, I’ll send you a message. The content will be: the names of streets we once walked together.”

Lin Zhaocai: “Oh, okay… why are you sending that?”

Xu Lian: “To confirm my safety.”

Xu Lian: “If at any point you suddenly don’t receive my message within a 12-hour period, immediately leak the file I just sent you. Got it?”

Lin Zhaocai: “???”

Lin Zhaocai: “What’s in that file?”

Xu Lian obviously couldn’t tell him directly.

Xu Lian: “A man’s… explicit video. Anyway, something that’ll ruin your eyes.”

Lin Zhaocai: “???”

Lin Zhaocai: “So… you’re going to use it to threaten him?”

Xu Lian: “Something like that.”

Lin Zhaocai: “Hey, what’s going on? You can’t guarantee your own safety?”

Lin Zhaocai: “Are you going to do something dangerous? What’s with that box of gold?”

Lin Zhaocai: “I’m telling you, I haven’t touched that money. If you want to return it to him, that’s fine too.”

Xu Lian: “Stop worrying. I’m rich now.”

Xu Lian snapped a photo of her surroundings and sent it.

Xu Lian: “Photo”

Xu Lian: “Look how grand it is.”

Xu Lian: “I’m not kidnapped. I’m perfectly safe.”

Lin Zhaocai: “……”

Lin Zhaocai: “Whenever you feel guilty, you start over-explaining.”

Xu Lian: “……”

Xu Lian: “Fine, I can’t fool you.”

Xu Lian: “So you need to keep a close eye on me. Pay attention to my messages. If I get controlled, release the file immediately—but don’t dump it all at once. That could lead to mutual destruction.”

Xu Lian: “Send it bit by bit. One piece every minute.”

Xu Lian: “Scare him a little!”

Lin Zhaocai: “……him? Another guy this time? Wait… is it the same ‘rich guy’ you mentioned before?”

Xu Lian quietly crowned Lin Zhaocai in her mind as the “God of Blind Guesses.”

Xu Lian: “Anyway, just do as I say. Don’t open the file, or I’ll kill you.”

Lin Zhaocai: “……?”

Lin Zhaocai: “Hey, why are you threatening me now?”

Xu Lian: “You really can’t look. But I trust your character.”

Lin Zhaocai: “Of course. Don’t worry.”

Xu Lian: “Thanks.”

Lin Zhaocai: “1.”

……

Song Jinze was caught by Xu Lian.

He truly hadn’t expected Xu Lian’s body to be this fragile. The more he tried to recover, the worse it got.

He was allergic, running a high fever, and now had no strength to fight her at all.

Xu Lian directly dragged the barely conscious Song Jinze into a bedroom and threw him onto the bed.

His voice floated weakly, but his tone was still fierce: “You still dare to come find me.”

Xu Lian didn’t bother arguing. She was in a bad mood herself—soon they would switch back, and she would become this miserable version of him.

She was extremely unwilling.

She reached out to touch his forehead, but he dodged.

Song Jinze frowned, breathing weakly. “What are you doing?”

Xu Lian grinned arrogantly. “I can do anything I want to you right now. Stop struggling and hand over the scroll.”

Song Jinze gave a sickly smile. “Sorry. Not with me.”

Xu Lian: “What?”

His entire body burned with fever, and he didn’t feel like explaining.

Because of the fever, he hadn’t yet undergone surgery to remove the tracking chip.

He had long anticipated being captured by Xu Lian.

So he had left himself a backup plan.

He had first tried contacting his fleet using coded signals, but Rolling Wealth had clearly interfered somehow—none of his confidential commands could get through.

She had even set up counter-tracking, nearly exposing his people.

So he had no choice but to rely on external forces he had previously deployed.

He contacted “Mengmeng Pet Hospital,” a completely secret underground intelligence organization fully under his control.

Unfortunately, this Trashy Planet was too remote. Combined with his weakened body and Xu Lian’s constant interference, he couldn’t mobilize many resources.

Thus, the scroll had already been handed off to someone he trusted.

That was his trump card.

If anything went wrong, he would immediately swap bodies with a subordinate using the scroll—just as he had done with Rolling Wealth—so she could never lock onto his soul.

And as long as the scroll existed, even if he died, his subordinates would eventually uncover Rolling Wealth’s name, switch her out, and erase her completely.

In fact, they were already close.

Just yesterday, they had identified two of Rolling Wealth’s colleagues.

A pair of twin strongmen—her former handlers.

As long as they could extract information from them, Rolling Wealth’s soul would be swapped out immediately.

And his people were already waiting near the scroll.

He wanted her soul.

He wanted her damned beyond redemption.

Xu Lian grew restless, almost frantic. “It’s not on you? Then where is it?!”

Song Jinze knew exactly what she was thinking.

She wanted to get the scroll and destroy it, so they could never switch back.

Not a chance.

Xu Lian grabbed his head and shook it hard. “Say something! Say something! Don’t fall asleep on me! Commander! Your soldiers are in trouble! Highest alert on the front line! Seventy percent casualties! People are dying!”

Song Jinze froze. “What did you say?”

Xu Lian immediately showed him the message history on her wristband, shouting into his ear:

“Your people!! Your people!! They’re dying!! Go save them!! I can temporarily switch bodies with you, do you hear me?! The scroll—where is it?!”

Song Jinze quickly scanned the information, doubting it for a split second.

But Xu Lian couldn’t possibly fake a highest-level alert signal.

So s-777 Wormhole had truly gone wrong.

He immediately took out his wristband and sent a location to his subordinate:

“Bring the scroll to this location immediately.”

He looked at Xu Lian, his gaze ice-cold. “If you try anything, you’re dead.”

Xu Lian seized the moment to shout back, “If I wanted to kill you, I could do it right now! Understand?! You idiot burning at 40 degrees!”

Song Jinze felt his blood surge, but he knew he couldn’t afford anger—it might kill him.

He closed his eyes and rested, his tone calmer. “Why did you decide to switch back with me?”

Xu Lian sneered. “Not ‘switch back.’ It’s a temporary switch. Got it? After you handle this, you switch back with me again.”

She still needed his body and authority for revenge—and to enjoy some comfort before her death. She wasn’t leaving so easily.

Song Jinze found Rolling Wealth increasingly suspicious. “Then how will you guarantee your safety during the switch?”

Xu Lian instinctively opened her mouth to answer—then stopped.

She had originally planned to directly threaten him with the file.

But suddenly, she thought…

Maybe she could use this opportunity to test his character.

If they could maintain their arrangement through a verbal agreement alone, then perhaps Song Jinze was someone who could be trusted.

And afterward, she might even consider making a fair deal with him.

Yes—that was the plan. She would keep the file a secret for now and test him first. If he betrayed her, she would retaliate as well.

So she changed her approach and said, “I believe you won’t kill me.”

“Believe…” Song Jinze murmured softly.

He hadn’t expected her to make such a foolish and wrong judgment.

He found it amusing, though his expression remained unchanged. “Mm.”

Xu Lian: “?”

What did that “mm” mean?

What was that supposed to imply?

Song Jinze thought to himself:

Once we switch back, I’ll capture you.

Trusting a bad person never ends well.

Fool.
