Bang, bang.

Amid the slight trembling of the ground, Chen Shengnan's enormous figure appeared inside the psychological counseling room.

She shouted sternly at the girl, "Luoluo, don't do anything rash!"Full novel: I Am the Mental Counselor of the Netherworld Death Prison — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

The girl ignored her and simply looked at Qin Hao.

"Are you called Luoluo? That's a nice name," Qin Hao said to the girl.

"Can we play this Game of the Brave?" Luoluo asked.

"Don't agree to it!" Chen Shengnan and Jinx shouted together.

Qin Hao smiled. "All right! Who's rolling?"

Those words caused Chen Shengnan and Jinx to turn pale at once. Jinx could no longer hold herself back. She charged into the room and slammed a punch into the protective barrier.

Clang!

A tremendous noise rang out. The protective barrier remained completely unmoved, while Jinx was knocked back a step by the rebound.

Fortunately, Qin Hao had not activated the electrical current. Otherwise, Jinx would have been seriously injured by that punch as well.

Jinx let out an angry, delicate shout, stepped forward again, and slammed another punch into the protective barrier.

This time, the sound was even louder, and the rebounding force was even stronger. Jinx was forced back a full three steps.

Yet the protective barrier remained completely undamaged.

Jinx flew into a rage and was about to throw another punch, but Qin Hao stopped her:

"Don't worry. We're only playing a game."

Jinx clenched both fists, her eyes reddening. She had originally thought that she was already strong enough, but now, watching Qin Hao fall into danger while being completely powerless to help him, she was filled with regret and self-blame.

If only she were a little stronger, she could save him.

Luoluo smiled at Jinx, then said to Qin Hao, "You choose."

Qin Hao thought for a moment, then slowly shook his head. "You should roll. My luck at gambling has never been good. You should have much better luck than I do."

Jinx and Chen Shengnan stared at Qin Hao in astonishment. Wasn't he placing his life and death in Luoluo's hands by doing this?

Why was he doing this?

A look of surprise also appeared on Luoluo's face. "Are you sure?"

Jinx hurriedly said to Qin Hao, "Roll it yourself. Don't trust her!"

Qin Hao smiled. "It's all right. She and I are friends. I trust her."

Those words, "I trust her," left everyone, including Luoluo, stunned. Jinx was so anxious that her eyes turned red.

It was obvious that Luoluo was not a good person. She was simply not worthy of trust.

"Heehee, this was your own choice. If you die, don't blame me. But thank you for trusting me. I'll make sure your death is as painless as possible," Luoluo said. Her voice was childish and sweet, but the content sent chills down everyone's spines.

"Thank you." Qin Hao nodded.

The exchange left Chen Shengnan and Jinx both shocked and furious. Luoluo was practically a little demon, yet Qin Hao had actually chosen to trust her!

"Here it comes! Get ready to face your destiny!"

At that moment, Luoluo gave a delicate cry and tossed the die high into the air.

Everyone held their breath and focused intently on the die.

Clack.

After rising and falling, the die landed on the ground. It rolled several times before finally coming to a slow stop.

The side facing upward was unmistakably:

Six!

Looking at the die on the ground, Chen Shengnan and Jinx both revealed shocked expressions. They never would have imagined that Luoluo would actually roll a six.

Wasn't she planning to kill Qin Hao? Why had she given up?

"Wow! It really is a six! Your luck is amazing!" Luoluo said to Qin Hao in surprise as she looked at the die on the ground.

Qin Hao smiled. "See? I told you your luck would definitely be better than mine."

Luoluo suddenly pouted. "That doesn't count. You used me to cheat! You have to roll it yourself!"

"Hey! Could you show a little integrity? You were the one who let him choose just now, and he chose to let you roll. You didn't object either! How can you go back on your word now?" Jinx shouted angrily.

"Heehee! I forgot to say that this is best two out of three. He still has to roll another six!" Luoluo said with a laugh.

"Shameless!" Jinx cursed bitterly.

Qin Hao waved his hand. "It's fine. I'll roll it myself, then. Even if it isn't a six, I still have one more chance, don't I?"

As he spoke, he picked up the die and casually tossed it. The result was:

One!

Jinx and Chen Shengnan both sighed.

"I told you, my gambling luck is terrible." Looking at the die on the ground, Qin Hao shook his head and laughed.

"Then this is the final round. Who will you choose to roll?" Luoluo asked him with a smile.

"I still ask that you roll it," Qin Hao replied without hesitation.

"Why do you keep choosing me? Do you really trust me that much?" Luoluo asked with a frown.

Qin Hao nodded. "Of course. Why shouldn't I trust you? Since we're friends, shouldn't mutual trust be the foundation?"

Luoluo glanced at him, then suddenly smiled:

"That's true. Since we're friends, we should trust each other!"

She picked up the die from the ground and was just about to toss it when she suddenly stopped.

"What's wrong?" Qin Hao asked.

An excited smile appeared on Luoluo's face. "I just thought of a wonderful idea. We can make this a little more thrilling."

"Oh? How?"

"Simple. If the result is a six, you can survive. But if it isn't, you don't have to die immediately. Instead, you can designate someone to become your sacrificial substitute. How does that sound? Isn't it fun?" Luoluo winked at Qin Hao, her beautiful face filled with excitement.

However, as soon as she said this, Chen Shengnan and Jinx both changed expressions.

Wasn't this just a roundabout way of using them as sacrificial substitutes?

Qin Hao smiled and snapped his fingers. "That is interesting. Let's play it that way. However, 2032 is a four-star level expert. Can you kill her?"

Luoluo did not answer, but Chen Shengnan said grimly:

"Her comprehensive strength assessment is five-star."

Jinx's expression changed upon hearing this, and her eyes filled with unwillingness. Luoluo was actually five-star. Even if Jinx opened the protective barrier, she would still be unable to protect Qin Hao.

Once again, she felt a deep sense of powerlessness.

Qin Hao, however, wore a broad smile. "I see. That's not bad. It should be quite interesting."

"You think it's fun too? Heehee, then I'll begin." Luoluo winked at Qin Hao.

"Go ahead!" Qin Hao nodded.

"Here we go! Let's see what number comes up!" Luoluo cried sweetly and tossed the die in her hand high into the air.

Under the concerned gazes of the group, the die fell to the ground, tumbled several times, and finally stopped. The side facing upward was:

One!

Chen Shengnan and Jinx's expressions changed when they saw it.

Luoluo looked at Qin Hao and narrowed her eyes with a smile. "What a shame. It's a one! One of you is going to die. Who will you choose?"
