Storage room.
Bang.
Li Jun closed the door and looked coldly at Qin Hao:
“You miserable bastard, you’ve finally fallen into my hands.”
Qin Hao glanced at him and chuckled:
“I didn’t expect Captain Li to harbor such deep resentment toward me.”
“The warden doesn’t have time to deal with you now, and those two female prisoners aren’t by your side anymore. Let’s see how you can keep acting so arrogantly.”
Li Jun rolled his neck, clenched his fists, and slowly walked toward Qin Hao with a ferocious grin.
During this time, he had been keeping a close eye on Qin Hao. He had previously had no opportunity to make a move, but now, he finally did.
“So, Captain Li intends to take revenge on me rather than record my testimony?” Qin Hao looked at him without the slightest fear.
“No, I did record it. You simply refused to cooperate, so I have no choice but to take certain measures to make you cooperate.” Li Jun laughed smugly, then threw a punch straight at Qin Hao’s face.
As the saying went, “When hitting someone, don’t hit their face.” But Li Jun specifically wanted to smash Qin Hao’s face, to torment and humiliate him.
With such a perfect opportunity, how could he let it pass?
However, to his astonishment, his supposedly foolproof punch failed to hit Qin Hao. Qin Hao actually dodged it.
“Has Captain Li not eaten? Why are you so weak?” Qin Hao even asked him that.
“Provoking me will only bring trouble upon yourself.” Li Jun snorted coldly and threw another punch.
This time, he put in somewhat more force, and his speed increased as well.
Yet the result was the same: the punch still missed, and Qin Hao dodged it once again.
“I’ve always wanted to know how strong the male guard captain is. I never expected…” Qin Hao glanced at him and raised an eyebrow. “Is that all?”
Hearing a half-star piece of trash mock him like that, Li Jun knew perfectly well that Qin Hao was deliberately provoking him, but flames of anger still rose in his heart.
“You’re courting death!” he roared angrily. At last, he stopped holding back and attacked Qin Hao with all his strength.
This punch was swift and violent. Qin Hao had no way to dodge, so he could only raise both arms and shield himself with them.
Bang!
A tremendous force struck him. Qin Hao flew straight backward as though he had been hit by a speeding car, crashing heavily into the storage racks.
Qin Hao groaned. His arms drooped limply; Li Jun’s punch had broken both of them.
Seeing this, Li Jun’s face was filled with a cold smile:
“To be honest, I’m surprised you managed to block that punch. But trash will always be trash. Can you block my second punch?”
Qin Hao said nothing. Instead, he closed his eyes, as though listening to something.
Li Jun walked toward him again, his face full of smugness:
“To be honest, you do have some cleverness. You actually managed to get close to the warden. Under normal circumstances, it really wouldn’t have been easy for me to deal with you. But you actually gave in to lust and came to watch a movie with Yao Fei. Don’t blame me for being ruthless.”
Hearing this, Qin Hao did not respond and continued to keep his eyes closed.
“Putting on an act in front of me is useless. I won’t listen to your nonsense. You’re dead this time!” Li Jun grinned viciously as he came before Qin Hao and slowly raised his fist, preparing to strike his head.
However, at that very moment, the corners of Qin Hao’s lips suddenly curved upward slightly.
Li Jun frowned slightly. “What are you smiling about?”
Although he claimed he would not listen to Qin Hao’s nonsense, Qin Hao’s abnormal behavior still aroused his curiosity.
Besides, in his view, Qin Hao’s life was in his hands. He could kill him at any time, and Qin Hao could not cause any trouble.
Qin Hao suddenly opened his eyes and smiled at him. “Because I heard it.”
“What are you talking about? What did you hear?” Li Jun asked coldly.
“I heard the voice of the soul. It told me the secret you’ve been hiding,” Qin Hao replied.
Li Jun sneered disdainfully. “That nonsense again? Aside from those female lunatics, who would believe you?”
Qin Hao looked at him and smiled. “You’re afraid. You’re hesitating. You want to kill me, but you also want to know whether I truly know your secret.”
“Stop talking crap! Do you think I’m afraid of you?” Li Jun cursed. “Tell me, what secret do I have? If you can’t say it, I’ll crush every bone in your body, one by one.”
By then, he could no longer control the fury in his heart.
Qin Hao straightened up and stared directly into his eyes. “Li Jun, why did you come to this prison?”
“Why? Naturally, it was an order from above!” Li Jun sneered.
“Above? Which superior?” Qin Hao asked.
“What do you mean?” Li Jun narrowed his eyes, dangerous light flickering within them.
“What? You won’t admit it? Then let me tell you.” Qin Hao smiled. “You came here entirely because of the warden, didn’t you? You infiltrated her side, silently observed her, and gathered intelligence about her. If the opportunity arose, you would even kill her.”
Li Jun looked coldly at him without replying.
“Furthermore, the reason you’ve been excluding and antagonizing me, and even wanting to kill me, is entirely because my surname is Qin, right?”
“Keep making things up.” Li Jun replied coldly.
Qin Hao smiled. “You originally thought you were the only person infiltrating the warden’s side. But my sudden appearance made you feel threatened. You thought I had also been sent by your superiors—that they were dissatisfied with you and wanted to use me to replace you.”
“You felt worried, even terrified, because you knew very well that once I completed the mission, you would become worthless, and your fate would be to become an expendable pawn. Especially since I gained the warden’s trust so easily. That made you even more desperate. That’s why you schemed so painstakingly to kill me. Only then could you retain your value and continue to exist, right?”
As he spoke, he suddenly stepped forward and raised his voice:
“You, Li Jun, are the true Qin Family Member!”
Upon hearing this, Li Jun glanced at Qin Hao, then slowly began to applaud:
“Qin Hao, you’re truly impressive. With only a few clues, you managed to deduce so much. Even I have to admit that you’re very clever.”
After applauding, his tone suddenly changed:
“But what use is knowing all that? You still have to die!”
Qin Hao looked at him and smiled:
“Li Jun, since you admit that I’m clever, why don’t you consider why I appeared here? Do you really think I couldn’t see that something was wrong with Yao Fei? Or do you think I’m truly a man consumed by lust?”
Li Jun’s expression changed drastically. He thought of an utterly terrifying possibility. Without any hesitation, he raised his hand and launched his strongest punch at Qin Hao.
Looking at the fist coming straight toward him, Qin Hao’s smile grew even more radiant.
