Dante and Vergil are locked in a fierce struggle.
As old brothers and bitter rivals, the two of them have practically been fighting since they were children; what began as playful childhood scuffles has now turned into a life-or-death battle between them.
Dante does not understand why things turned out this way.
He does not like it one bit.
Dante has even fantasized that if the world were different, perhaps Vergil would be with him in that office—the one with no water or electricity—hunting demons together.
Ha, with his steady and stoic personality, he likely wouldn't want to live there with him. Perhaps Vergil would have moved out with his wife, just like that stubborn girl Nero...
But now, it is all too late.
Vergil is the Demon Lord of the Demon Realm, obsessed with power, with nothing left in his head but muscles.
To protect this world, Dante must kill Vergil.
Even if he is his own brother.
And Nero must absolutely not be allowed to get involved in this matter.
The traditions of the Sparda family may include fighting, acting like a hooligan, stabbing oneself, and not smoking, but they absolutely do not include fratricide.
Dante can bear this sin alone!
On the battlefield, red and blue light has begun to emerge from their bodies; dragon-like scales and armor have appeared upon them as they stand facing each other from a distance, erupting with power.
All for the sake of cutting down their own kin with their sword blade.
This is a fight to the death.
But at this very moment, a sudden voice descended from the sky.
"You two bastards! I'm not letting you two die here!"
The girl's roar echoed across the entire field. The attention of everyone—the two fighting and the one watching from the side with a gun—was drawn to that roar in an instant.
Dante and Vergil subconsciously looked up, and then they saw a blue light descend from the sky, blocking the path directly between them.
Surging power emanated from between the two, throwing them both aside.
Vergil stumbled back several steps before stopping, while Dante nearly fell flat on his back.
They looked toward the center and discovered a girl standing there—she was covered in sky-blue armor that looked like dragon skin, winding out from her body, yet her head remained that of a normal human, save for a few extra blue scales.
She looked Graceful and Slender, possessing an air of being apart from the world; her body carried a unique aura, dreamlike and exceptionally beautiful.
Not far away, Zuo Si clicked his tongue in wonder. This Devil Trigger of Nero's was far better looking than in the Game—if the one in the Game was a lean, muscle-bound berserker, then the one before him was an elegant young lady in a gown.
As expected, the treatment is completely different...
Zuo Si sighed inwardly, while on the battlefield, a "twisting" drama was beginning to unfold.
"Hey! Nero! Didn't I tell you to leave this place?"
Dante looked at Nero's Devil Trigger form in surprise; naturally, he couldn't help but feel a bit envious—the gap between their Devil Trigger forms was just too large.
But the demon hunter immediately straightened his attitude, frowning as he walked toward Nero, intending to pull her away.
"Get lost! You old bastard!"
Nero roared, then threw a punch, striking Dante square in the face.
Dante felt as if his face had been hammered by a heavy object, and he flew backward uncontrollably.
He tumbled across the ground several times before barely coming to a stop.
Dante lifted his head from the ground in a daze, looking at Nero before him.
What kind of power is this?
"Just lie there on the sidelines; I'll deal with this bastard." Nero brandished her weapon and rolled her neck, looking every bit like a bossy older sister. Vergil’s gaze clearly fluctuated the moment he saw Nero; he seemed to have fallen into memories and reflection.
"So alike..."
He seemed to mutter.
Zuo Si, watching from the side, already knew what would happen next.
Just like the plot of the Game, Nero would fight a holding-back Vergil, then Vergil and Dante would enter the Demon Realm to close the Gate, and the fifth installment would end there.
If things developed normally, that would indeed be the case...
But...
Zuo Si glanced at the silent DOOM. Although this powerful Warrior had said nothing, he was definitely an uncontrollable factor!
Dante looked at Nero's back, finally sighed, and lay down on the ground.
"I don't care anymore, do whatever you want."
After saying this, he glanced at DOOM. The Warrior was silent for a moment, then said, "I only want him dead. As for who kills him, it has nothing to do with me."
Upon hearing this, Zuo Si let out a deep sigh.
We're doomed.
Sure enough, upon hearing this, Nero turned her head and looked at DOOM.
"I won't let him die—even if he is a bastard, even if he is a Demon, I won't let him die!"
"Is that so?" DOOM seemed to have anticipated this answer; he silently drew a crimson sword blade and began to walk forward slowly. "Looks like I'll have to take action myself."
Pressure, intimidation—as DOOM moved, Nero clearly felt these things. The armored Warrior was like a natural Assassin, a natural Warrior.
It seemed no one could stand against him.
Excitement flickered in Vergil's eyes. As a power-hungry man, he naturally loved strong opponents, but looking at Nero's back as she stood before him, a strange feeling he had never experienced before sprouted in his heart.
He felt a bit Uncomfortable.
Dante also scrambled up from the ground, holding his sword, unsure of who to aim at.
He knew DOOM was not wrong, and he knew that in DOOM's eyes, Vergil truly deserved to die. But now that Nero had entered the fray, things were different, and Dante's stance seemed destined to change.
However, the demon hunter was also hesitant.
Everything became tense.
It was like a pile of gunpowder; a single spark could ignite everything and turn this place into a chaotic battlefield.
"Wait a minute! Stop fighting!"
And at this incredibly Serious moment, a completely discordant voice rang out.
Everyone present turned their gaze toward the source of the sound, only to see a man in casual clothes walking out, rubbing his temples and looking quite exhausted.
