“Myrah.” Genevieve whisper yelled as she ran down the halls.

“A crumbled wall here.” Genevieve muttered as she turned a corner.

“Myrah really went all out.” Genevieve muttered appreciatively as she kept running.

“The stems are secured on a pouch around my waist.” Genevieve thought as she bounced down a flight of stairs.

“Along with some handy magic tools.” Genevieve muttered as she abruptly changed direction.

“Would she have noticed if I stole more than two books?” Genevieve muttered as she secured the items she stole around her body by wrapping herself with another piece of cloth and pulling on a large flowy night gown to hide her figure.

Stretching her ears to its limit, Genevieve used her ears to pinpoint everyone within a kilometer radius.

“The intruders must have fled this way!” Genevieve could hear the King say, as heavy footsteps followed behind him.

“Lock down the castle!” the Queen ordered the palace guards several meters away from the King.

“Canvas every nook and cranny and make a detailed report on what seems to be broken, taken or destroyed!.” the Queen ordered her maids and alarm bells rang in Genevieve’s head as she thought of Myrah.

“Come on.” Genevieve muttered as she began running.

“Come on.” Genevieve whispered in frustration but when she heard a familiar wince Genevieve grew cold.

“Myrah!.” Genevieve whispered as she pumped her legs faster.

“Myrah!” Genevieve yelled as she rounded a corner and ran towards Myrah in relief but when she saw the marks and shredded clothing on Myrah, Genevieve stop dead in her tracks.

“Princess.” Myrah winced as she opened her hands weakly with a smile and Genevieve fell into the hug limply.

“Why would you do so much for me?” Genevieve weeped as she held Myrah right.

“I don’t remember doing anything that would make you risk your life like this so why go so far for me.” Genevieve said as she looked up at Myrah.

“Why put yourself in so much danger for me?” Genevieve asked as tears gathered in her eyes.

“What did I do to deserve you?” Genevieve asked as tears streaked down her cheeks.

“I don’t deserve your tears, my princess.” Myrah said as she cradled Princess Evelyn to her chest.

“It’s here.” Genevieve thought.

“I do these things out of my own selfishness.” Myrah admitted as she held a weeping Genevieve.

“Makes sense.” Genevieve thought as she continued her crying act.

“In the original “Disgrace of the royal family” not much is known about Myrah.

She is only described as a loyal character and that’s it.

When I read the novel I took at just as it was but after coming here I began to think what if.

What if there was another reason why Myrah was described as a loyal character?” Genevieve thought as she studied Myrah’s face carefully.

“You were only three months old when you were given to me, a mere fifteen year old maid with no prior experience of taking care of a child and when you giggled, you reminded me of a little sister I never got to hold.” Myrah wept and Genevieve’s heart broke.

“I see you as my family, Princess Evelyn.” Myrah said as she kissed Princess Evelyn’s forehead and for the first time since she had transmigrated, Genevieve regretted the cruel thoughts that she had.

“Doing these things are normal.” Myrah said before her eyes rolled back and her body suddenly went limp.

“Myrah!” Genevieve screamed as her hands immediately hovered over Myrah’s nose.

“Faint breathing.” Genevieve muttered as her hands immediately grabbed Myrah’s wrist to check her pulse.

“Weak pulse.” Genevieve muttered as her mind raced.

“This isn’t your time yet.” Genevieve muttered as her hands shook.

“You have survived your character’s death already, you can’t die now!” Genevieve muttered anxiously as she ripped off the sleeves of her nightgown and tied them to the nasty gash on Myrah’s leg.

“I just need to lift her up.” Genevieve muttered but as she draped one of Myrah’s arm on her body but just as she lifted her up, Genevieve heard a slosh sound.

“One of her organs just ruptured.” Genevieve thought in fear as she quickly laid Myrah back down.

“Does she have a broken rib?” Genevieve asked in fear and sure enough as she pressed a particular rib on Myrah’s side a pained yell ripped out of Myrah’s throat.

“What do I do?” Genevieve muttered in fear, as a dozen thoughts went through her mind.

“What do I do?” Genevieve asked as genuine tears began to flow from her eyes.

“Do I use the stems of the Whisper peach?” Genevieve thought in desperation, only to shake her head at her own stupidity.

“It cures illnesses or mental manipulation, a broken rib is none of those.” Genevieve thought as she wiped her cheeks in frustration.

“What about the magic tools I stole?” Genevieve thought quickly.

“One of them should be able to, one of them should be able to-” Genevieve thought as she heaved but footsteps heading her way made her freeze.

“Who is it?” Genevieve thought as her head snapped in that direction.

“The King?

The Queen?

or is it one or the Queen’s maids?.” Genevieve thought in relief as she pulled Myrah’s body close to her but the smell that hit her nose was powerful and unfamiliar.

Holding Myrah’s body close, Genevieve held Myrah protectively as she glared at whoever was coming but once she saw dark hair and red eyes, Genevieve breathed out a sigh of relief.

“Princess Evelyn!” Jacob yelled as he ran towards Princess Evelyn.

“Are you alright?” Jacob asked worriedly as he kneeled before her.

“The whole castle is looking for you and-” Jacob said quickly before pausing slightly.

“Is she okay?” Jacob asked worriedly as his eyes caught on to a passed out Myrah.

“She will be.” Genevieve said decisively and when Jacob looked at her in confusion, Genevieve took out a butter knife from her waist and stabbed Jacob on his palm.
