“Not much was said of Clark Elson.” Genevieve thought as she stared at the tall man with short black hair and deep blue eyes.

“But in a bid to emphasize how important he was, a lot was said of his mentor, Carl Evarez.” Genevieve thought as she watched Carl steady Clark Elson.

Tall with short black hair and deep blue eyes, Carl Evarez was often mistaken as a noble in his younger days.Full novel: I Transmigrated As The Disgrace Of The Royal Family. — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Descended from a fallen Count family, Carl Evarez had the bearing of nobility and was known as the genius of Halfalix Academy.

With skills that were recognized by the whole country, Carl Evarez could make more than a fortune by simply tending to high ranking nobles but for someone whose mother died from a common illness because of lack of money and resources, Carl Evarez resolved himself to help as many commoners that he could and made sure that everything in his store was sold at an affordable price to both the nobles and the commoners.

“M-Master you have arrived” Samuel sputtered in fear.

“I didn’t expect to see you until next week-” Samuel said nervously but Carl fixed him with a glare.

“You are yet to answer me.” Carl said through gritted teeth.

“What could a child do so wrong that you would purposely shove him?” Carl questioned in astonishment.

“What if he had gotten hurt?!” Carl demanded and Samuel shut his mouth in fear.

Seeing that Samuel was to slow to speak, Genevieve thought “The best defense is the best offense.” “This man tried to sell us a potion for three hundred gold!” Genevieve explained and Carl’s turned to Samuel slowly.

“Did I just hear three hundred gold?” Carl asked with a deadly glint in his eyes and Samuel began to tremble.

“She is lying, I would never-” Samuel tried to defend himself but Clark swiftly interrupted him.

“He also replaced the petal of the nightshade in the Magray with the petal of a rooseberry tree!” Clark exclaimed and Carl’s expression became lethal.

“Lies!” Samuel sputtered in fear.

“I would never adulterate your products like that!” Samuel said quickly.

“They are only doing this to get back at me because I discovered that they couldn’t pay!” Samuel exclaimed as he pointed to the three children.

“If you could just allow me to kick them out-” Samuel said as he rushed to grab Genevieve.

“Bind him.” Clark muttered and a swordsman Genevieve didn’t notice kicked the back of Samuel’s legs and secured Samuel’s wrists behind his back.

“H-How?” Genevieve thought in confusion as she looked to Jacob who wore the same expression as her.

“How did he get here with neither of us sensing him?” Genevieve thought as her mind raced.

“Is it summoning?” Genevieve thought as she stared at the swordsman with light blue hair and deep green eyes.

“No, summoning doesn’t exist here.” Genevieve muttered out loud and Jacob gave her a sideways glance.

“If it’s not summoning, then he must be a dark type magician of the shadow class.” Genevieve thought as she stared at the swordsman intently.

Among the six types of magicians in Almira, only two types of magicians are required to document themselves in the “Black book” the minute the present and the names of those types of magicians are; the dark type magicians and the control type magicians.

“Do you know why the name “Elaris” was found?” Clark Evarez asked with a scowl.

“The name “Elaris” was built on the hope of being a place of healing for both commoners and nobles but what did you do?” Carl Evarez asked in fury.

“You dare desecrate that name for your own greed?!” Clark Evarez yelled in anger.

“Master you can’t simply believe them!” Samuel said as fake tears began to drop down his cheeks.

“These children are liars!” Samuel exclaimed.

“Who knows how many people have been terribly accused like this” Samuel babbled with tears but Carl Evarez said “Enough” wth a shake of his head.

“I already have more than one witness claiming that you inflate prices and give potions and salves with less effectiveness.” Clark Evarez said with a sigh.

“Yet, I didn’t come here to punish you.” Clark Evarez said as he stared at Clark in disappointment.

“I came here as your master and as an older brother to ask if your home situation had gotten bad or if you have gotten into debt but judging from everything you have said today, it is clear that all you say are lies.” Carl Evarez said in disappointment.

“What do we do with him?” the swordsman with light blue hair and green eyes asked.

“Take him before the magistrate” Carl Evarez said calmly.

“I am sure that at his age, he knows what happens to servants who steal from their masters.” Carl Evarez said coldly.

“I was wrong!” Samuel yelled in fear.

“I was wrong.” Samuel said as he was dragged away by the swordsman.

“I am sorry that you had to watch this display” Carl Evarez said as he turned to the three children.

“It was nothing.” all three children said at once and Carl Evarez laughed at the adorable display.

“How about I give you a salve that will clear those bruises in exchange for having you watch such a terrible display?.” Carl Evarez questioned with a smile.

“We couldn’t possibly take that.” Clark said sheepishly.

“I insist.” Carl Evarez said as he brought out a salve from his coat pocket.

“But before that, how were you able to tell that the petal of the nightshade had been swapped for the petal of the rooseberry tree from smell alone?”
