“But before that, how were you able to tell that the petal of the nightshade had been swapped for the petal of the rooseberry tree from smell alone?” Carl Evarez said and silence filled the room.

“I- I” Clark repeated shakily but Carl raised his hand to stop him.

“I didn’t ask you that question to punish you.” Carl said as he stared at Clark with a fond smile.Full novel: I Transmigrated As The Disgrace Of The Royal Family. — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

“I was just curious to know how you found out that the petal of the nightshade was swapped out?” Carl asked with a small smile and the tension around Clark’s shoulders loosened.

“My mom used to be a medic.” Clark whispered and Genevieve looked at him in intrigue.

“Not a big one like you, but everyone who bought her products always complimented her.” Clark said with a smile as he began to reminisce.

“By the age of three I grew familiar with the faint smell of herbs and by five I was pretty much able to identify any medicinal plant by smell alone.” Clark said with an extremely small smile and the silence that filled the room was different than before.

“That wasn’t in the manhua.” Genevieve thought with a pleasant smile.

“Because of the extremely tiny information on Clark Elson, I always believed that all his skills were taught to him by his master but who would have guessed, that his mom was once a medic before she passed.” Genevieve thought as her eyes twinkled.

“I can’t believe that little information like this, still make me happy.” Genevieve thought as she watched the scene with a fond smile.

Present “He said his mother was a medic so I readily accepted the answer but what if it didn’t have to do with him being around his mom but the powers he possessed?” Genevieve thought as her mind began racing.

“The nature magicians of this world are of two types; the plant class or the animal class and judging from that-” Genevieve thought as she stared at the wooden tray which has been reinforced to be as thick as a tree bark.

“He is definitely a nature magician of the plant class.” Genevieve thought as she observed his sea green eyes once more.

“What do I do?!” Clark suddenly asked in panic as he began to gather himself.

“I beat him half to death!” Clark exclaimed in panic as he stared down at his father.

“What do I do if he recovers?” Clark asked in worry.

“Don’t worry.” Genevieve said confidently.

“All we have to do is go back to that man who gifted us the salve and explain what happened.” Genevieve said softly.

“Explain?” Clark asked as he began to heave.

“What if he doesn’t help me if I tell him the truth?” Clark asked in fear.

“I nearly killed a man!” Clark exclaimed as he began to tremble slightly.

“You are destined to be adopted by Carl Evarez somehow, I am sure he wouldn’t mind anything that you did.” Genevieve thought in annoyance but before she could say those stupid words aloud, Jacob spoke before her.

“He gifted us a salve to treat your wounds so I am sure he understands your situation more than you know.” Jacob said reassuringly.

“If we can just explain what he did-” Jacob said, referring to Clark’s father.

“And how he has been tormenting you, I am sure he will help or at least point us to someone who can.” Jacob said confidently and Clark nodded slowly.

“Okay.” Clark said as he tried his best to steel himself.

“What is the worst that could happen?.” Clark asked with a small smile and sure enough when the children made their way to Elaris, no one was inside.

“I and my big mouth.” Clark whispered and Jacob and Genevieve looked at him in pity.

“It’s okay.” Clark said with a small smile.

“Let’s just go back.” Clark said as he took a step towards the door.

“No.” Genevieve said in panic.

“If you don’t get adopted today, how are you going to make my potion!” Genevieve thought in despair till a thought suddenly struck her.

“If he is of the shadow class.” Genevieve thought as her mind flashed towards the swordsman.

“Then there is no way, he left the store unattended.” Genevieve thought as her eyes scanned the layout of the store.

“Where is it?” Genevieve thought as she searched for the shadow that was left behind by Carl Evarez’s guard.

“Where is it?” Genevieve thought again until her eyes caught on to a perculair vase with an extremely long shadow.

“Could it be?” Genevieve thought as she stepped closer to the shadow of the vase.

Steeling herself and concentrating on the huge amounts of mana in her core, Genevieve felt her hair change as her body became charged with mana.

“What?” Jacob thought as goosebumps spread on his skin.

“Who?” Jacob thought as he turned around just in time to see Princess Evelyn blow fire on a particular spot on the wooden floors of Elaris.

“What?” Clark asked in fear at the same time Jacob yelled “Why would you do that?!” in frustration.

“It will help, I promise.” Genevieve said as she raised her hands in surrender under Jacob’s watchful glare and sure enough the door burst open to reveal Carl Evarez and his bodyguard.

The Queen’s P.O.V.

Moments before Evelyn escaped the castle “The King has chosen to go on with Princess Evelyn’s tea party in the midst of all this chaos.” The Queen said as she brushed her daughter’s beautiful light pink hair.

“As my beautiful daughter you know that you must do, don’t you?” The Queen asked with a fond smile.

“Of course.” Princess Roselyn said with a dazzling smile.

“I am the spitting image of you after all.” Princess Roselyn said as her dazzling smile morphed into a dangerous grin.
