Marcy’s P.O.V “Go that way.” Genevieve said as she pointed to her left.

“You will find three mana crystals hidden behind that large tree.” Genevieve ordered and Marcy nodded before taking off.

“Large tree.” Marcy thought as she ran forward with all her strength.Full novel: I Transmigrated As The Disgrace Of The Royal Family. — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

“Behind the large tree.” Marcy thought as she jumped to snatch one embedded in the tree bark and bent to grab another one embedded in the roots.

“Is that all?” Marcy thought as she slipped the two mana crystals into her paper satchel and dusted her hands.

“You seem to be having a lot of fun.” Princess Roselyn said and Marcy’s body grew cold.

“I-I am not.” Marcy whispered in fear as she stood up to face Princess Roselyn.

“I am just playing along.” Marcy said nervously as she gripped the edges of her gown.

“This is what you told me to, isn’t it?.” Marcy asked nervously.

“Good.” Princess Roselyn said slowly.

“It’s good that you are playing along.” Princess Roselyn said compassionately.

“I thought that you had chosen to betray your starving mother, father and two older brothers because of something as weak and unstable as a friendship.” Princess Roselyn said with a sneer.

“I would never.” Marcy said quickly as she trembled in fear.

“I would never forget the Queen’s promise to rescue us, if I complete this mission.” Marcy said shakily.

“Then get to it.” Princess Roselyn whispered.

“This is the perfect time isn’t it?” Princess Roselyn asked with a cruel smile.

“Princess Roselyn.” Casper White called and Princess Roselyn head snapped towards the noise.

“Have you found the mana crystals you were searching for?” Casper White asked as his voice drew closer.

“Do you need help?” Casper White asked in worry as he continued to look for his partner.

“Remember Marcy.” Princess Roselyn said as she invaded Marcy’s personal space.

“You are the only one that can save your poor family.” Princess Roselyn said as she snatched the two mana crystals from Marcy and walked back the way she came.

The second Princess Roselyn left, Marcy began to whisper the words she was taught as the air grew still and the grass beneath her began to wither.

Grunting in pain as she sliced her hand for the last words of the incantation, a purple sigil appeared beneath her and a circle enclosed within another circle with sigils she didn’t understand appeared on her already healed palm.

“I will save you.” Marcy muttered in pain as her family flashed through her mind.

“I will save you.” Marcy repeated determinedly as she got up but a picture of a smiling Princess Evelyn from her memory made her crumble to the floor.

“I am sorry.” Marcy said as tears gathered in her eyes.

“You just have to endure it.” Marcy said as she wept bitterly.

Present Genevieve.

“What is this?” Genevieve muttered as her temperature shot up and her body began to feel weak.

“What did you do to me?!” Genevieve yelled in fury as Marcy morphed into the first person who betrayed Genevieve in her past life.

“It must be dark magic.” Genevieve muttered in pain as her temperature spiked.

“The only thing that can affect a dragon to this degree is dark magic.” Genevieve muttered as she stepped away from Marcy.

“But how?” Genevieve thought as the pain intensified.

“How did she enter the castle if she could use dark magic?” Genevieve thought as she looked at Marcy through bleary eyes.

“Princess Evelyn!.” Princess Roselyn yelled as she came into view with Casper White on her heels.

“What?” Genevieve thought, as Princess Roselyn suddenly showed up at the perfect time.

“See I told you.” Princess Roselyn said as she pointed to Princess Evelyn that was writhing in pain.

“Told-” Genevieve thought as her skin continued to crawl.

“Marcy Blake is no good.” Princess Roselyn said with a slight smile and Genevieve glanced at Princess Roselyn in shock.

“She did this.” Genevieve thought as her mind grew numb.

“Call the guards.” Princess Roselyn said as she ran with Casper White on her heels.

“She planned this.” Genevieve thought as anger began to seep into her bones.

“I knew that they were planning something.” Genevieve thought in anger.

“I knew it but why?” Genevieve thought as she trembled in pain.

“Why did I fall for such a trick?” Genevieve berated herself.

“Think.” Genevieve thought as the pain overwhelmed her.

“How do I get out of this?” Genevieve thought as her gaze landed on Marcy.

“If I can just find out, what kind of spell she used.” Genevieve thought as the pain skyrocketed.

“Did she-” Genevieve wheezed in pain as she tried to speak.

“Did she put you up to this?” Genevieve asked as she looked at Marcy with pure hate.

“What?” Marcy asked in panic, afraid that Princess Evelyn had caught on.

“I don’t, I don’t know what you are talking about.” Marcy said as her es dropped to the ground and Genevieve grew even more furious.

“Stop lying!.” Genevieve yelled and Marcy jumped in fear.

“I know she put you up to this.” Genevieve said referring to Princess Roselyn.

“What did she offer you?” Genevieve demanded as her eyes darkened.

“What did she offer you that you would betray someone who stretched out their hand towards you?!” Genevieve yelled.

“I am sorry!” Marcy yelled, as tears gathered in her eyes.

“I am sorry but this is the only way.” Marcy said as tears began to drop from her eyes.

“She said she would cure you.” Marcy said as she wiped her eyes roughly.

“Who did?” Genevieve asked even though she already knew the answer.

“She said that if I did this, she would cure you in her own time and she would exile I and my family to the South of the Kingdom with new names and capital to build our new lives.” Marcy said desperately.

“I know you don’t trust me, at least not anymore but the Queen promised!” Marcy said earnestly.

“She promised that she would cure you!” Marcy said reassuringly before an arrow embedded itself in her chest.
