“I wouldn’t dare.” the little girl with light blue hair and dark blue eyes said as she stepped back quickly.

“You are the first princess and I-” the little girl sputtered and Genevieve smiled warmly at her.

“My name is Princess Evelyn Maria Montigue, what’s yours?” Genevieve asked warmly.Full novel: I Transmigrated As The Disgrace Of The Royal Family. — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

“Marcy.” the little girl whispered, awestruck by the person before her.

“Marcy Blake.” the little girl said with a small hesitant smile.

“Marcy Blake?” Genevieve thought with a hum.

“That name was never referred to in the original disgrace of the royal family.” Genevieve thought, the same time she said “We are friends now that we exchanged names.” “Was she so insignificant that the author forgot to mention her?” Genevieve thought at the same time she said “You are not allowed to shy away from me.” with a big smile as she grabbed her hand.

“Or is she a new character that appeared because of this event?” Genevieve thought as she gripped Marcy’s hand firmly.

“Lady Cassandra, please pick the next event.” Princess Roselyn said and Genevieve quickly snapped out of her reverie.

“Crown/shield designing.” Lady Cassandra declared and the maids rushed to prepare the materials for this event.

“For this event, you are to design your shield or crown in anyway that you want.

A gold star will be given for high creativity.” Princess Roselyn said with a smile as the maids brought in tiny wooden shields with paint and paper crowns with jewels, ribbons and beads.

“Princess Evelyn.” said the little girl with blonde hair and pink eyes, that was on the same team with her previously.

“Would you care to join us?” the little girl with blonde hair and pink eyes, Lady Cassandra, asked politely.

“Of course.” Genevieve said with a nod.

“Wonderful.” Lady Cassandra said happily as she turned to relay the news to her friends but Genevieve quickly stopped her.

“Is there a problem Princess Evelyn?” Lady Cassandra asked in confusion.

“I will join you all, if you agree to one request.” Genevieve said with a sheepish smile.

“What is it?” Lady Cassandra asked curiously.

“Can she join us too?” Genevieve asked as she pointed to Marcy before widening her eyes and pouting.

“As you wish.” Lady Cassandra said hesitantly before going back to her friends.

“I don’t-” Marcy said as she gripped the edges of her dress.

“I don’t think I should join you.” Marcy said as she stared at the ground helplessly.

“Nonsense.” Genevieve said with a big smile.

“You are now my friend.” Genevieve said as she gripped her hand.

“Everywhere I go, you go.” Genevieve said with a big smile as she dragged her to the large table to make paper crowns next to Lady Cassandra and her friends.

“Princess Evelyn seems to have made a new friend.” Duchess Orlaine said with a cruel smile behind her fan.

“A new friend.” said The Matriarch from the South but as she turned to check she released a “tsk” sound.

“The first princess is such a bright girl, too bad she has such poor taste in friends.” The Matriarch said with a sigh as Princess Evelyn put the paper crown she made on Marcy’s head with a big smile and Marcy did the same to her with a small smile.

“The next round, is a partner scavenger hunt.” Lady Elise, the girl with black hair and orange eyes said with glee.

“You have five seconds to find your partners.” Princess Roselyn said as she grabbed Casper White and everyone immediately grabbed the friend that they were closest to.

“Look, we are partner’s again.” Genevieve said with a big grin and Marcy smiled genuinely for the first time that night.

“The garden has been filled with tiny mana crystals by the maids.

Whoever gets the most crystals by the time the sand in the top half of the hour glass runs out will be granted a gift by the royal family.” Princess Roselyn declared.

The second a maid turned the hour glass upside down, the children took off and Princess Evelyn activated her eyes.

“One of the abilities of a dragon is to detect treasure.” Genevieve thought as she moved with Marcy on her heels.

“This is nothing.” Genevieve thought as she found two mana crystals in the span of three seconds.

“Princess Roselyn and her team won the first round and in the second round, Princess Roselyn was decorated with the most stars.

I can’t let her best me in this round too.” Genevieve thought as she rounded a corner.

“Marcy.” Genevieve called and Marcy quickly stuttered “Y-yes, P-princess” “Go that way.” Genevieve said as she pointed to her left.

“You will find three mana crystals hidden behind that large tree.” Genevieve ordered and Marcy nodded before taking off.

Dropping to her knees, Genevieve began to tap the soil.

“I know you’re here somewhere.” Genevieve thought as she dug her hands into the ground.

“They probably hid such a large quantity here because they don’t expect noble children to get their hands dirty.” Genevieve thought with an evil laugh as she dug out five mana stones.

“It’s barely been two minutes and we have already found seven mana crystals.” Genevieve thought gleefully.

“I don’t know what they have planned yet, but I can’t let Princess Roselyn win another round.” Genevieve thought as she slipped the seven mana stones into the paper satchel they prepared for this round.

“If Marcy comes back with the other mana crystals I told her to get, we will have eleven out of the twenty mana stones scattered in this forest.” Genevieve thought as she gripped her satchel in anticipation of Marcy’s return.

Genevieve waited one, then two minutes but Marcy was nowhere to be seen.

“What is taking her so long?.” Genevieve muttered as she tapped her right foot.

“Is it that difficult to find on her own?.” Genevieve thought as she headed to the large tree she sent Marcy to.

Reducing her speed significantly, Genevieve jogged towards Marcy who had her back to her.

“Marcy.” Genevieve called as she jogged towards Marcy who turned around slowly.

“I was waiting for you.” Genevieve said as she approached Marcy who had a crestfallen look on her face.

“Did someone take the crystals from you?” Genevieve asked warmly.

“Is that why you are sad?” Genevieve guessed with a smile.

“Don’t worry.” Genevieve said reassuringly.

“We can just find more.” Genevieve said with a kind smile but the minute she grabbed Marcy’s hand, Genevieve felt like ants were crawling up her skin.

“What is this?” Genevieve muttered as her temperature shot up and her body began to feel weak.

“What did you do to me?!” Genevieve yelled in fury as Marcy morphed into the first person who betrayed Genevieve in her past life.

Flashback Seven year old Genevieve.

Assassin Training camp.

“What did I tell you about recklessly trusting everyone you meet?” asked a man Genevieve called guardian.

“Remember Genevieve.” Guardian said, as he pointed a gun at the little girl who attacked Genevieve.

“A lot of people would kill to be in your position.” The man said as the gun in his hand went off and the little girl crumbled like a marionette whose strings have been cut off.

Flashback end.
