Right now, I was walking along the hall of U.A. towards the principal's office since it was the end of the day.
After getting out of the nurse's office during lunch, I rejoined my classmates, who proceeded to bombard me with many questions about the incident.
They wanted to know what happened and how I ended up injured, just before throwing the ball.
Unfortunately for them, all I said to them in response was that I just failed to control the output of my quirk and got injured.
Though not convinced by the simple answer and the lack of explanation, they accepted it, and they dropped the matter after I refused to elaborate. They then informed me that after I left with Lunch Rush for the nurse's office, Aizawa still continued the test and that Midoriya came last on the test.
He was not expelled because Aizawa said he was lying about having the last place on the test.
Even though I knew he was not joking and that he would have really expelled someone in our class if we didn't show potential, I said nothing about it.
Afterwards, we resumed class together and aside from the morning test, the rest of the class was normal studies like language, history, math and science.
' Now that I think about it, my quirk hasn't malfunctioned.' No, it was that once Aizawa tried to erase my quirk, I temporarily lost the connection between me and the black ghost.
Seeing that we were not connected anymore, the black ghost thought I was unresponsive and tried to kill me to revive me, as I taught him to do.
'Yeah, that one was on me, but who could have imagined that I could be temporarily separated from it?'
I still learned something useful. While I was being affected by Aizawa's quirk, I felt that my quirk was still there, just hard to reach.
Also, the black ghost didn't disappear; it continued to move like normal. This means that once summoned, the black ghost is not affected by what happened to me.
Perhaps if he stands between me and me when he uses his quirk, I will also be unaffected. Like Toru with her quirk,
I already arrived before the office door while still thinking about today's event.
' I've got nothing to lose, so let's go for it.'
"Excuse me, I was told to come to the principal's office," I said while entering through the door.
"Arata-kun, it seems that you were able to make it to my humble office. Come have a seat."
'Hmm, it seems like I won't be getting his usual greeting. A shame, I was waiting for it.'
Standing before me was Nezu, and at his side was Aizawa, with an apologetic look.
"Let me introduce myself. I'm Nezu, the principal of this academy."
"We have called you here to discuss today's incident, since you were harmed due to the actions of one of our professors. Your teacher and I would like to sincerely apologize to you!" He started by apologizing to me.
"I really hope this incident doesn't stop you from continuing to learn at U.A."
"Don't worry, Principal, it was nothing, and I have already been healed by Recovery Girl; see, not even a scar left, my arms are spotless," I said while showing him my arms to him to prove my point.
"Nonetheless, Arata-kun, it remains true that you were harmed by our carelessness. How could we simply dismiss that?" he still insisted, his tone showing concern.
"It was nothing really, like Aizawa sensei said here at U.A. we must give the best of ourselves. If I'm not ready to get even a little injury, I shouldn't try to be a hero."
"Ahh, Arata-kun, I'm moved by your words. Since you've said so, I have nothing else to say but to drop the matter."
' Seems like all is good and well, since I also don't want them to dig into the matter and ask questions about my quirk.'
"Well, since the case was resolved so early, I can do nothing else but let you go home."
'Well, as he said, since everything is resolved, I can go. Before I could stand up, however, Nezu continued speaking.
"Right, Arata-kun, I nearly forgot you wouldn't know anything about a certain ghost incident at your previous school, right? After all, we wouldn't want them to become a thing here at U.A. as well."
'So he figured it out, better not hide anything, time to confess.'
"That would have been me previously using my quirk at school, which led to those incidents. You see, my construct becomes stronger the longer it stay manifested, but outside my direct line of sight, it is a little hard to control. It was something similar to today when I was exposed to the professor's quirk. I lost control of my quirk. Although today was the first time someone was injured."

Before leaving, Aizawa came before me and bowed while excusing himself for the incident. I once again reassured him that I didn't hold it against him. Since the matter was entirely resolved, I got up and bowed to both of them before leaving.
….Inside Nezu's office ….
"So, what do you think about him, Shota-san?" Nezu asked.
"The kid is smart for sure; other than that, he is well trained both in body and quirk. If I didn't see him get injured today, I wouldn't believe that he could lose control of his quirk."
"You are right; although not a manipulator, he could easily understand what I was trying to do with the conversation. He responded well enough, and when I asked him about the previous incident, he immediately confessed and even reminded me that he was injured because of us so that we could drop the matter."
"That's what I was thinking; also, he is obviously hiding much about his quirk.
What worries me the most is that when he was injured, he didn't even react; it was as if he was accustomed to getting injured so much that the wound he received today didn't even faze him. That is what worries me the most about him." Aizawa concluded.
"I see, I'm inclined to believe you. If what you say is right, he could have some psychological problem related to his quirk that we don't know about. Nevertheless, when he was with the Recovery Girl, she checked his body, but she didn't find any sign of abuse. She assured me that his body was devoid of injury. For the time being, the best thing to do is to continue observing him with caution."
"I also agree; better remain vigilant."

After leaving the office, I took the train home and opened the door.
"Mom, I'm home."
I said while removing my shoes before walking inside.
"Oh my god, sweetie, you are back. How was your first day? Did you make any new friends? Tell me quickly, tell me."
Before I could get to the living room, my mom started asking me those questions.
"Sure, Mom, I'll tell you everything, but before that, let me remove my school uniform."
I said to my mother while going towards my room
Sitting at the dining table with my parents, I told them how my day went. They were amazed to learn that at UA we receive a test on the first day.
They were even more worried when I told them that we were threatened with expulsion, but they immediately got relieved when I said that it was a lie that the teacher had said to push us to do our best. Obviously, I didn't tell them about me getting injured.
My father once again told me that he was proud of me. After finishing dinner and doing the dishes.
I got to my room and summoned the black ghost. I observed him from head to toe and reminded myself that I've come a long way since awakening my quirk. It has really changed since the start; it is more dense.
The only problem now is that I can only summon one at a time. I'm still working hard to be able to have more at the same time, and today has proven to me that I still don't know everything about it.
I am slowly learning; I will see in the future that I will push past my limit, and the next time I will be prepared for when an unexpected event like that happens.
I wonder, though: 'Since Aizawa's quirk couldn't totally work on me, does that mean that All For One's quirk will also not work on me?' Not that I would stand there for him to touch me. If he could take my quirk, that would be a disaster.
Now it's time to go to sleep. Tomorrow is a brand new day, and I'm excited to see how it will go.
