” What do you plan on doing?!” Eve asked when she saw him gearing to run off.
” What else?!
I’m going to stop her!” Kevin said, his voice filled with conviction.
” But how?!” Eve asked.
Her voice barely carrying over the loud sound of the ever growing twister.
” You don’t need to worry about that, just stay here alright.” Kevin said before his visor’s slammed down then his body blurred forward.
‘ If I’m going to stop that thing, I’m going to need to turn it off first, to do that, I need to move at least just as fast but in the opposite direction.’ Kevin said to himself.
” Alright!
Here I go!” His gaze beneath his visor turned firm.
His speed instantly accelerated, bringing him right next to the tornado.
Inside, Mia was still running around, her face filled with anxiety and worry.
” Hang in there, Whatever you do, don’t stop running.
I’ll fix this, so just listen to me alright.” Kevin said but got no reply whatsoever.
He smacked his face, realising she obviously couldn’t hear him from inside there.
” Well, here’s hoping she doesn’t do anything else.” He said to himself before speeding up once more.
While the tornado spun anticlockwise, Kevin began running clockwise in an attendant to use his own speed to cancel out Mia’s.
Eve who was watching from a distance was surprised to see a black and blue blur becoming more and more prominent at the bottom of the tornado from over a mile away.
Rather than being scared, she became glad, because the more prominent the blur became, the smaller the spinning twister became, unlike earlier when it was growing out of control.
Mia who was inside the twister also began to notice the abnormality.
The dust and debris around her began lessening until she saw a series of after images on the edge of the twister.
” …Kevin?” Mia looked suprise to see him moving so fast.
With visibility increased, Kevin also saw her.
He waved his hand to reassure her, a grin hidden on his face behind the visor before focusing once more.
The deafening roar weakened little by little.
Trees that had been bent nearly in half straightened as the violent winds gradually lost momentum.
The towering funnel narrowed until what had once stretched hundreds of yards across became little more than a violently spinning column of air.
With wind strength dropping rapidly in a short amount of time, The larger debris within naturally began falling from the sky.
Realising that now was the perfect moment, Kevin bolted into the twister before picking Mia off her feet and rushing out, stopping several hundred yards away.
BAM!
THUD!
BOOM!
All the suspended debris dropped to the ground, shaking the earth.
Finally free from the twister, Mia let out a breath of relief.

” I’m really sorry I ended up causing so much trouble.” Mia apologised with a relieved look on her face.
” Don’t–” Kevin was about to say, when something crashed onto the ground behind him.
” …Mention It.” He said when he saw a tire roll Infront of him, his heart aching.
He didn’t need to look behind to know what just crashed behind him.
“And…
sorry about that too.” Mia muttered, twirling a lock of her hair awkwardly.
Beep~ Beep~ Beep~ the Omnitrix began flashing red again.
In a flash of green light, Kevin reverted back to himself.
He then placed Mia on her feet before turning around to stare at the hipping mess that was his Car.
” I’m so glad to see the both of you made it out just fine.” Mia turned around to see Atom Eve gently landing from the air.
” Yeah, you too.” Mia said.
” Umm is he alright.” Eve awkwardly gestured towards Kevin who was silently staring at what was left of his car with an unreasonable expression.
” ….I think he might need a minute.” Mia said.
” Umm if you want, I can ask a friend of mine to help fix it.”
” Really?!” Kevin emerged Infront of her in a split second.
Even without XLR8, his speed at the mention of his car sure was something else.
Eve stiffened, unconsciously taking a step back.
Mia couldn’t help furrowing her brows a bit.
” Yeah, I’m sure you guys have heard of robot or Teen Team?” Eve said.
” Nope.” Mia said.
” Oh.” Eve said, looking disappointed as If she was expecting a different reply.
” You were saying something about fixing?”
” Aren’t you loaded though, couldn’t you just buy another car–?”
” No!” Both Eve and Mia stiffened when he replied with a shout.
” I’m sorry about that.” Kevin apologised.
” But I really can’t.”
” I’m guessing that car must really be very important to you.”
” You could say that.” Kevin said with a nervous smile.
” Then I’ll be sure to tell him to take extra care of it for you.
If it’s him, I’m sure he can fix it, who knows, maybe make it even tougher than before.”
Hearing what she just said, Kevin was practically over the moon, but then he couldn’t help but recall something, causing his expression to calm down.
On second thought, I think I’ll have to decline.”
” Huh?
Why not?” This time Eve was the one who was confused.
As for Mia, she couldn’t help feeling happy for some reason.
” It’s just that, someone very special to me gave me this car.
Before that, the both of us used to tune it up in his garage every time we could.
I just don’t think it’d be right to hand it out to someone else.”
” Then what are you going to do about it, you can’t just drive it like it is now.” Eve said.
” It’s alright, I’ll just tune it up myself.” Kevin said.
‘ With Grey matter, maybe add a few upgrades.

” Umm I like how we’re all felling chummy right now, but how exactly are we going to head back.” Mia said.
” I hate to say it, but the cars totalled.”
” Couldn’t you just fly back?” Kevin raised a brow.
” You really want to test that?” She gave him a look.
Kevin couldn’t help shivering when he recalled invincibles first time flying in the series.
” I guess that’s your answer.” Mia said.
” I mean, I could carry you both with me.” Eve spoke up.
” Oh?
Then can we meet Teen Team?”
” I thought you didn’t want to get your car fixed by someone else.” Mia said, raising a brow.
” I’m not.
I’ll call someone to help take the car back to my place.” Kevin said.
” I just felt I’d be good to meet other heroes.”
” That is if you’re ok with it of course.”
” Sure, why not.” Eve said with a smile.
The next moment, a pink sphere covered both Mia and Kevin.
‘ Yes!’ Kevin rejoiced inwardly.
Mia looked a bit unhappy, but she didn’t say anything.
” Hope you’re both not afraid of heights.” Eve said before flying off with both of them.
