” If that’s the case, I better keep myself busy than wasting time doing nothing.” Kevin muttered before standing up.
He then got a pen and paper and began thinking of the things he needed to do in the meantime until Paul called him back.
” I could focus on earning more money.” He said to himself.
Now that he thought about it, using Grey matter for ten minutes to earn money online wasn’t a good option in the long run if he wanted a steady stream of income.
” I need a way to earn continuously, preferably without having to do much.” He said before glancing at his phone on the bed for a moment.
A strange light suddenly flashed past his eyes.
” Maybe that could work.” He turned eager when an idea came to mind.
He switched to grey matter, using his higher intellect, used his phone to compose a small list of items.
Kevin then waited for the time to turn off.
Once it did.
He then got off his bed and left his room.
He headed downstairs, came outside the hotel and hailed a cab.
After stopping by the best tech store in the city, he headed over to the bank and created another account.
It served to say the bank workers were more than polite to see him, but Osborne didn’t waste time there.
Once he was done, he headed back to his hotel room.
Closing the door behind him.
He carried the custom upgraded laptop along with some things he bought, and placed it on the bed then charged it to full capacity.
Then using the Omnitrix, he transformed into grey matter.
Using the other things he got from the tech store, he reverse engineered a neural controller that allowed his to control the laptop via thought.
Kevin had already figured that for what he wanted to do, he needed a way that would help remove the hindrance of his size in this form.
As for why not building a high end computer, he wasn’t sure he could get all the materials he needed and he wasn’t in a rush since he knew he could get one later.
With 10 minutes on the clock.
He first ran through the PC just in case, only after that did he get to work.
The PC’s screen came to life, displaying the Omnitrix’s logo on it, at the same time.
” Good day, Sir.
Is there anything I could be of assistance with.” The Ai he just made said.
” There’s an account I’ve given you access to, inside should be around $5 million.” He said.
” I want you to access the trading market I’ve linked you to and increase that amount I’ve given you.”
” But do keep in mind that you mustn’t be aggressive on the market to avoid any unwanted attention, making money is alright so long as you’re not in the spot light.” Kevin added.
” You also mustn’t use too much processing power in that limited hardware of yours.
Less you overheat your system.”
” I’ve already given you lots of trading data so you should be fine so long as you don’t over exert yourself.”
” Understood, Sir.”
” Wait a moment.” Kevin called the Ai back.
” Yes, Sir?”
” You’re going to need a name too…
Something I can call you with from now on.” Grey matter held his chin, deep in thought.
” Got any suggestions?” He looked at the screen.
” Not really, Sir.
I’d be fine with whatever you decide.”
” Then how about codex, since I plan on making you the smartest and most capable artificial lifeform on the planet.”
” I’m honoured by how much you value me, Sir.
I’ll do my best to live up to your expectations.” Codex said before getting to work.
Kevin made use of his remaining time as grey matter to buff his smartphone, making more harder to hack or track as a precautionary measure.
Bal: $10 million.
His eyes widened in surprise.
To think that in that short amount of time she’d already doubled the amount he’d given her, and that was under the command that she didn’t get noticed.
Kevin felt satisfied seeing this.
At least now his money problem was as good as done.
And once he had enough time to upgrade codex, he could move on to the next stage of his plan and make it more difficult for the GDA to kidnap him again without reason.
Ring~ Ring~
Kevin’s phone began ringing so he reached for it and picked up.
” The house hasn’t been sold, Sir, but I think I might’ve found a few places that fit your description.
If you aren’t busy at the moment, I could schedule an instant meeting for you to evaluate the property.” Paul said.
” Sure, go right ahead.” Kevin said.
” Alright Sir.
I’ll be waiting for you there.” Paul said before ending the call.
Kevin’s phone vibrated as a new notification came in.
Once he opened it, he got the location of the place Paul wanted to meet.
” Alright codex, let’s go meet our new home.” Kevin said as he picked up the laptop.
” I’m right beside you, Sir.” Codex said, even with the laptop closed, it appeared it could still speak, courtesy of grey matter.
He left the hotel and hailed a cab that took him straight to the suburbs, which was where Paul asked to meet.
As the cab drove through his former neighbourhood, he quietly glanced at the Grayson household as it went by.
Before letting out a sigh moments later and looking ahead.
The cab continued on for several more minutes, before coming to a stop In front of a house with a for sale sign and a man in a suit next to it.
The man of course was none other than Paul who happily walked on over as Kevin got down.
” Its good to see you again, Sir.” Paul said with a charming smile.
” Likewise…” Kevin said gesturing for him to lead the way.
