JAY’S POV
The penthouse doors clicked shut behind us with a soft finality that felt like the end of one chapter and the quiet beginning of another.
The space was vast, with floor-to-ceiling windows offering a breathtaking view of the city skyline, twinkling like stars against the dark canvas of the night.
“Wow,” I breathed, stepping inside.
The modern decor was sleek and inviting, with soft lighting creating a warm ambiance.
It felt like a dream, one I wasn’t sure I was ready to wake up from.
I wandered through the living area, admiring the furniture and the little touches that made it feel like home.
Keifer stood behind me, his demeanor calm and collected, as if all of this was completely normal for him.
“You must be tired. Let’s rest,” Keifer said, his tone steady.
I simply nodded, feeling a flutter of nerves at the thought of being alone with him in this penthouse.
As we made our way toward the bedroom, a sudden realization hit me.
This was our first night together as a married couple, and the weight of that thought sent a shiver down my spine.
Keifer turned the doorknob, revealing the spacious room.
“It’s our room,” he said, stepping inside.
The master suite was a cavern of obsidian luxury.
A king-sized bed, draped in tangled white silk, sat beneath moonlight slicing through heavy velvet curtains.
The air, thick with sandalwood and unspoken tension, held the weight of our volatile intimacy.
As we stepped inside, I noticed our suitcases had already been brought in, sitting neatly at the foot of the bed.
Keifer turned toward me, his gaze sweeping from head to toe.
“You should change,” he said, nodding toward the walk-in closet.
“Get something comfortable.”
I nodded and walked toward my suitcase to grab the pajamas I had packed for the night.
As I tried to unzip the bag, it didn’t budge.
I tugged at the zipper again and again, frustration mounting as it refused to cooperate.
I frowned, determination setting in, and was about to rip it open when a voice behind me stopped me.
“Move aside, wifey,” Keifer muttered, stepping beside me, amusement lacing his voice.
“You’ll rip it before it even opens.”
I stepped aside, watching him as he effortlessly worked the zipper.
Within three seconds, it was open, and my eyes widened in disbelief.
“Traitor, bag,” I muttered, narrowing my eyes at it.
He chuckled.
“You need patience, wifey.” He took a single step back when—
Boom!
What the—
I thought I had packed everything perfectly, but apparently not.
I turned to Keifer, expecting shock or annoyance, but he was staring at the clothes scattered across the bed, a cocky smirk on his face.
I followed his gaze, and the moment I realized what he was smirking at, my eyes widened, and my face burned with embarrassment.
There, contrasting starkly against the white sheets, lay my red lacy bra and matching panties.
“Pervert!” I squealed, throwing myself in front of him to block his view.
“What are you smirking at, huh?”
“Wifey,” his smirk widened as he looked down at me, his voice dropping low, sending my heart racing.
“We’re married; I don’t think there should be any problem.”
He was about to lift his gaze to look behind me, but I acted on pure instinct.
My hands shot up, covering his eyes.
“It is a problem!”
My hands were still over his eyes, and as I thought of all the possibilities to cover them up, I felt a warm palm resting at my side.
Before I could react, I was yanked forward, colliding onto his hard, sculpted chest.
I gasped, my hands instinctively settling on his broad shoulders to keep myself steady.
“Keifer,” I whispered, my voice small and breathless.
He stared right into my eyes, his gaze dark and intense, holding a depth I couldn’t name.
Then he leaned closer, and my eyes fluttered shut, thinking he was about to kiss me.
Instead, I felt his hot breath on my ear, making me shiver.
“Wifey,” he murmured, his voice surprisingly low, causing my breath to hitch.
“No need to cover them; sooner or later, we’ll be planning our future children.”
My face burned for the second time in less than five minutes.
I quickly stepped back, turning around to at least pack my undergarments.
I grabbed my pajamas and stormed toward the walk-in closet, stumbling on the hem of my dress, avoiding looking at him.
As I closed the door behind me, I could hear his laughter, and my heart raced like a caged bird.
I placed my hands over my heart, trying to calm it down.
Fuck, Jay.
I walked further in; the closet was large but empty.
I threw my pajamas on one of the shelves and reached for the dress zipper on my back.
I again tried, seriously, are the all zips declaring a war against me.
Eventually, I gave up.
I looked at the door; Keifer would have already changed while I was still stuck in this dress.
The door opened slightly, and I peeked out into the room, scanning until my gaze settled on the back of the person I needed the most but was too embarrassed to ask for help.
“Keifer,” I called, mustering the courage.
He turned around, frowning.
“Jay, why are you still in that dress?” Suddenly, a smirk crossed his face.
“Don’t tell me you love your wedding dress because it reminds you that you’re my wife.”
He slowly walked closer.
“Or do you have a completely different plan for tonight? Want me to strip you bare, wifey!?”
My cheeks burned.
“Shut up, Keifer!” I swallowed hard.
“I just need your help with something.”
He looked at me with that amused expression, making my heart race.
And I was damn sure this night was just starting…
Here’s your new chapter….
Firstly…
I love you guys so much, even I didn’t knew about this.
You guys are absolutely the bestest and sweetest reading creature I discovered for my book…
The love you showed in previous chapter..the way you desire for upcoming chapters….goddamn…I fell for you all.
💓☺️
And secondly…I am really really sorry from bottom of my heart…I am sorry for the statement ‘i won’t continue the story’…it simply shows how greedy I was for the comments that I completely ignored your comments…It felt like I was a trader instead of a author…that I am trading chapters for comments.😞😫😵
I felt like I make you beg me, request me to continue…because I caused the fear inside you guys….that I will leave the book halfway.—When, the only thing I need to do was…write and post🤕
So I am not asking for comments —but obviously, secretly waiting for your precious ones — and I will continue this book, I will pour all my love and soul, to make you guys happy…and always waiting for next one.
Okiee…
enough of emotional talks….do you read the way zippers just declared the war against our poor Jay….And Keifer was quite loving it.
But I think, zipper is also the Jayfer shipper.
Maybe, you—or me—must be playing the zipper’s role…to see more JAYFER moments.
So this is me, your lazy author, signing off .
Meet you soon in few hours with another chapter.
