KEIFER’s POV
After dropping Jay back at the Mariano Estate, I pulled onto the dark road toward Watson Mansion.
I kept both hands on the wheel, my speed steady, but my mind refused to focus on the road.
It was consumed by thoughts of one person from that bar room today: Jay.
The way she walked in, completely filling my mind.
The way she sat beside me, her hand fisted tightly over her knees.
The way she shivered every time our shoulders brushed when I shifted.
The way her nose brushed against mine during that dare.
The closeness.
It sat in my gut like unfinished business.
All of it played on a loop while the city lights streaked past the windows.
I could still smell her scent lingering in the air, as if she were still sitting beside me.
The sharp, ringing voice through the dashboard snapped me back to reality.
I glanced toward the screen and saw the familiar name from my tech team—Chase.
It was 11:34 PM, almost midnight.
I frowned before answering, “Chase, what’s got you calling me at this hour?” My voice returned to its cold, commanding tone.
“Boss,” his voice came through tight, no greeting.
“You need to get to headquarters now. I’ve got something big.”
I didn’t ask what.
The urgency in his tone was enough.
I shifted the car off the route to Watson Mansion and headed straight for HQ, the last image of Jay at the estate gates still burned behind my eyes.
I slammed the brakes right in front of the base, not even caring to park properly.
I walked through the hallway toward my office, ignoring the guards on my way.
I crossed the threshold and sat behind my obsidian desk.
Exactly five minutes later, there was a knock on the door.
“Come in.”
Chase walked through the door, files tucked under his arm, and the look on his face told me I wasn’t going to hear anything good.
“Boss,” he placed the file in front of me.
“You’re definitely not going to like what’s in here.”
The file was filled with details of offshore illegal transactions—the banned drugs from big dealers, smuggling diamonds, weapons, and, most disturbingly, the trafficking of women.
My jaw clenched.
It didn’t look like he was doing all this alone; there was someone else involved, or we were underestimating him.
If he was so powerful, why did he want to marry Jay while wearing a good-boy mask?
“There’s worse in the next one,” Chase said, grabbing my attention toward the second file.
I opened it.
“The flight to Bali isn’t for a honeymoon or vacation plan,” he continued.
“Liam has been working with the underground hidden auction circuit.”
“What is that?” I asked, frowning.
“Why wasn’t I informed about this audit earlier?”
“It’s held by a mafia group in Singapore. Liam has somehow become one of them,” Chase stated.
“But it isn’t just any normal auction.”
He paused, as if preparing to drop a bombshell.
“What does that mean?” I demanded, my impatience growing.
“Boss,” he started, hesitating.
“This auction isn’t for unique antiques or jewelry. It’s for… selling women and children. It’s held every year.”
My eyes darkened, but I didn’t interrupt.
“A person can only be a member if they have someone to sell with them at the auction,” he continued.
“So far, over one million women and children have been sold through this entire network.”
“From my current investigation, the reports state that members of the association must bring a picture of any woman or child they plan to sell with them every time the auction is held. And…”
He stopped, lowering his gaze for the final blow.
“And what, Chase?” I snapped, my blood boiling with each revelation.
“Finish that sentence, or I won’t need a single second to finish you.”
“And… Liam has provided a photograph of Miss Jasper Jean Mariano for the recent auction, which was sold at the price of ten billion to one of the wealthy families in… Bali. The flight in two days after the wedding is for this purpose.”
My fist connected with the table, the crack echoing through the room.
“What. Else?” I demanded.
He stepped back, clearly terrified.
“Liam William is already married to Anna Raven—the only daughter of the Raven group, a common enemy of the Marianos and Watsons in the business world. He is marrying Miss Jay only for the auction.”
“So, he’s working with an underground hidden auction circuit, sold Jay’s photo, is already married, and is using her for rivalry and profit?” I asked, my voice low and dangerous. This chapter was taken from g.com without permission.
Chase nodded, continuing.
“The team has been investigating for a while and discovered that Liam is in power because of the Ravens. They’ve formed an alliance, and Liam has been doing this for nearly three years now.”
Rage coursed through me, increasing with every revelation.
“Contact Angelo, Aries and Percy,” my voice low, dangerous, “Tell them to move their ass and come here, Tommorow morning.”
Liam William, your little game is over.
Who will save you from this awakened beast?
You made a mistake; now bear the consequences.

But not here—in hell.
