After the Dodgeball match ended, the excitement on the field was still at its peak.
The voices of students echoed all around the grounds.
Suddenly, the announcer’s voice rang out across the field.
“The next game is — Sack Race!”
The crowd immediately erupted into cheers and applause.
“Both students and teachers are allowed to participate in this competition!”
The rules appeared on the large screen.
Rules
1.
Players must not run; they can only move by hopping.
2.
Both feet must remain inside the sack at all times.
3.
If a player loses their balance and falls, they must continue from the point where they fell.
4.
The first player to cross the finish line will be declared the winner.
“The competition will begin in 10 minutes.”
Ten Minutes Later…
All the participants stood at the starting line.
Representing the White Team were Seo and Soo-jin.
On the other side, Han Ye-rin and Kim Na-ri stepped forward for the Red Team.
Ran stood in the distance with his arms crossed, watching everything.
“Good luck.” He smiled.
“We’ll only come back after winning!” Seo replied confidently.
Game Start!
As soon as the whistle blew, all the players grabbed their sacks and began hopping forward.
“Go!
Go!
White Team!”
The cheers from the spectators grew louder.
Seo and Soo-jin were moving forward with excellent coordination.
However, Han Ye-rin and Kim Na-ri were rapidly closing the gap from behind.
A few meters before the finish line, all four players were almost neck and neck.
At that moment, the players from both teams came very close to one another.
A slight contact occurred.
“Ah!”
Seo lost her balance.
Soo-jin stumbled as well.
Both girls fell to the ground.
For a brief moment, the entire field went silent.
“What happened?!”
“Was that intentional?”
Whispers immediately spread among the spectators.
Taking advantage of the situation, Han Ye-rin and Kim Na-ri pushed forward and crossed the finish line first.
Red Team Wins!
The Red Team supporters erupted in celebration.
On the other hand, Seo and Soo-jin looked extremely disappointed.
“They deliberately came close to us and threw off our balance…” Soo-jin said angrily.
“We should have won…” Seo muttered while biting her lip.
Ran slowly walked toward them.
The two girls stood there with their heads lowered.
“Hey.” This story is hosted at g.com.
They looked up at him.
“You both played really well.”
“But we lost…”
Ran gave a faint smile.
“Losing and playing badly are two different things.
You both gave it your all.
Just win next time.”
Hearing his words, a small smile returned to their faces.
Ran then turned his gaze toward the Red Team.
Han Ye-rin and Kim Na-ri were celebrating their victory.
At the same time, a thoughtful expression appeared in Ran’s eyes.
“Hmm…”
He felt that something about that final moment was a little strange.
But without any proof, there was no point in saying anything.
Suddenly, the giant screen lit up.

The crowd became excited once again.
The announcer’s voice echoed throughout the field.
“And now…

The entire stadium eagerly waited for the next competition to begin.
