"Good morning."

"Wha—? G-Good morning."

"Good morning."

"......Morning."

"Good morning."

"Hey, Souta."

"Good morning. What's it, Daiki?"

"Damn, it's like good morning has become a natural part of your speech. Never mind, I am asking what are you doing here?"

"Good morning. As you see. I am greeting others."

"I mean, yeah, I can see that, but......"

"Hahaha. Souta has been acting strange again?"

Akihito dissed me very casually.

So rude. When have I ever acted strange?

"Are you even looking at yourself? You're standing at the entrance of the school, alone, and greeting everyone out of nowhere. You're literally the walking example of strange."

Damn, even Daiki started to sing the same tune as Akihito.

I mean, I did get that myself, but it was the question of points. I had no other choice. Besides, school entrance was just the right point since I could get extra good morning points from passersby.

"Good morning. Can we do this later? I want to greet every person possible."

"I am really curious to know now, but, alright."

"Well, if you're promising to explain everything later, sure~."

I gave the two a fleeting glance as they entered inside the school building, and resumed my greeting spree.

◇◇◇

"Well then, time to 'fess what was all that about."

I had barely made it inside the classroom when Akihito immediately cornered me, demanding an explanation.

"It was so out of nowhere that you've become the topic of everyone's conversation. Just look at our class. Everyone couldn't wait to hear what all that was about."

"Huh, what are—woah, damn."

At Daiki's mention, I ran my gaze past him, and sure enough, I could see the bubbling curiosity.

"Who cares what those riff-raff think, or are looking at. Just explain already~."

"Man, you really are blunt as stone when you're not interested in them. I kind of feel sorry of them."

"It’s not like anything comes out by paying attention to them?"

"......Truly a head scratcher how you’re so popular among girls."

Daiki murmured with an incomprehensible expression. He was the proclaimer of harem, even venturing into the dungeon for that, so I could see his perplexment. It would've had anyone confused how Akihito was so popular despite having already professed his eternal love only to 2D girls.

"Anyway, time for your answer."

"Alright, short explanation, it’s due to my skill."

"Hmm? But Souta, isn't your skill «Spendlock»? I really don't see how this and that are connected."

"You're right... well, until yesterday afternoon."

"Huh, wait a minute. You're saying your skill changed?!"

"Bingo."

I nodded at Daiki to confirm his speculation. But, the latter looked at me as if he's seeing something unbelievable.

"No way, that's just too fast. Since your training course ended on Saturday, you only had yesterday to level up, right? That means you're now either level 4, or at best level 5. This sort of pacing is unheard, moreso when you're solo. Just how reckless you’re?"

"You're overestimating me. I am only level 2."

"What? Even that's incomprehensible. I have never heard of anyone having their skill changed at mere level 2."

“I think, regardless of the demerit of not, it’s still a unique skill. I don't think the normal standard applies to unique skills."

At the end of the day, demerit skill was still a unique skill. Perhaps, there was some truth in Akihito's words. Not that it changed how I would've tossed it dimension apart if it was possible!!

"Anyway, no use hanging up on that. I am more curious now what changed. Seriously, I just don't see how greetings are connected to your skill."

"Hey, Akihito. You shouldn't pry into other's skill."

They did teach that in training. It was a breach of privacy to ask someone of their skill.

Then again, perhaps it was the excitement of gaining their first skill, the situation after the battle was something where you couldn't just not reveal it.

Even now, I could remember the look in my batch’s eyes, as if they're looking at something pitiful.

"It's alright. I do not mind telling you two."

Well, unlike the people in the training course, I trusted these two enough to not bother with such etiquettes. There was the risk of words being spread around, but those two weren't like that.

"It changed from «Spendlock» to «Gacha Games - Spendlock»."

"......So just the naming changed?"

"It still sounds the same to me."

"Ugh... don’t remind me......"

I was still level 2, so I don't know what the future holds for me, but surely, I would be able to get rid of my curse one day, right?!

“...Nah, I am even more confused now. What changed to push you for that?”

"Better yet, just take a look for yourself."

I brought up my status board, and made it so Daiki and Akihito could also see it.

Status boards were visible only to users, and to others if permission was granted, so presence of classmates wasn't a problem.
