Unexpectedly, Susu reached out with both hands, asking for a hug. He mused in his heart that this little girl truly didn't play by the rules. He got up, and Susu cooperatively stepped onto the sofa, wrapping her arms around his neck. Once he held her, she then wrapped her legs around him, hanging onto him like a koala. Xin Che carried her into the bedroom, placed her on the bed, leaned down, and looked at her, asking, "Do you really not miss me at all?"
Susu's voice was soft, "These past few days, I've been thinking about what your girlfriend said to me."
Xin Che stopped his hand, his expression turning cold. "She and I have already broken up. If you don't want to be my girlfriend, you can tell me. Don't always speak so deliberately to make me feel bad."
When the two of them worked together in Beijing, he had never been this harsh to a subordinate. Susu was stunned. Xin Che didn't try to appease her, and his hand moved lower. Susu pushed him away. He gave a wry smile, "You don't speak, and you won't let me touch you. If you're like this, I'm really leaving. I'll come back to Shenzhen when you've thought it through." A moment later, Xin Che tried to provoke her into speaking. "When I had a girlfriend, you actively wanted to be with me. Now that I've broken up, you're treating me so coldly. What am I supposed to think when you act like this?"
"Are you regretting it?"
Xin Che grew increasingly helpless. "I don't regret it. I just want you to treat me a little better."
"After a while, will you want to go back to her?"

"You said you were leaving just now? Then hurry up and go. Maybe you can still win her back if you go now."
Seeing Susu's mouth turn down, looking as if she were about to cry, he then lowered his voice to coax her. "I'm not leaving. I'm sticking with you, and I want you to be responsible for me." Saying this, he reached out again to unbutton her clothes, no longer minding her feigned resistance this time.
He deliberately teased her, yet delayed taking the next step. Susu's body grew hot from his teasing, her breathing becoming erratic. She could only softly beg him, "Hurry up." Xin Che finally pressed close to her with force, watching her reaction and smiling, "You still say you don't miss me..."
After their heartbeats gradually steadied, Susu nestled in his embrace and asked, "Are you going back to Beijing tomorrow?"
"No, I'll go to the company on Monday, and I have to meet a client on Tuesday. I'll leave Tuesday evening."
Susu was amused to the point of anger, looking up at him. "So, President Xin... you're not here specifically to see me?"
Xin Che explained, "My going to the company is also to spend a couple more days with you. "Go ahead and do it. I want to go back to Beijing to be with you too." Susu liked her work in the risk control department, and she couldn't help but feel reluctant at the thought of leaving it.
With Xin Che's coordination, Susu was successfully transferred back to the Compliance Department of the Beijing branch, responsible for analyzing new regulations and writing internal guidelines. She moved back to Beijing and into his home.
