He stopped arguing with her and continued to dote on her. Before long, Susu closed her eyes, her shoulders trembling, and a soft sound escaped her. Once her breathing stabilized slightly, she pushed him away, turned over, and fell asleep. Xin Che was amused by her anger, thinking: This little girl is really angry today; she's never been so indifferent to my needs before.

The next day, as soon as Susu opened her eyes, she saw Xin Che staring at her with a mischievous grin: "You were quite heartless last night." As he spoke, he grabbed her hand and led it elsewhere, causing Susu to blush deeply. Just like the night before, Xin Che withdrew his hand after she was satisfied.

"Today, I'm just here to serve you. Remember to miss me when you get back to Shenzhen." Xin Che got up and put on his clothes. "I won't trouble you further."

Susu tilted her head, her brow furrowed as she looked at him: "Are you joking with me?"

He explained: "Don't worry, I'm not looking for anyone else. I just feel like you don't like me anymore."

"I do like you. It's just that what your girlfriend said is right, I need some time to think."

Xin Che's tone turned cold: "She's my girlfriend, so what are you?"

On the way to the airport, neither of them spoke much. Before parting, Xin Che hugged her and said with a hint of appeasement, "Don't overthink things, and don't ignore me."

After returning to Shenzhen, Susu expected Xin Che to send her messages every day, but instead, he disappeared for three days. Since their separation at Beijing Airport, the two of them seemed to have fallen into a cold war without any reason.

On Wednesday evening, Susu felt uneasy and casually found an excuse to send him a message: "I think I left a piece of underwear at your place. If you find it, you can just throw it away."

Xin Che quickly replied: "You didn't forget it; I hid it."

Another two days of no contact followed.

It wasn't until Friday evening that Xin Che sent Susu a message: "If you miss me, I'll come see you tomorrow."

After more than an hour without a reply, Xin Che sent her another message: "If you ignore me again, I'm buying a plane ticket." He then became increasingly annoyed and decided to book the ticket, sending her the flight information directly.

Only then did Susu reply: "I'll pick you up at the airport."

At Shenzhen Airport in early May, the air was a mix of coffee and disinfectant. When Xin Che emerged from the crowd, he was pulling a black carry-on suitcase, exuding the same clean and sharp elite aura. After they met, they walked out side-by-side in silence, neither willing to speak first. Finally, Xin Che couldn't hold back, reached out, and put an arm around Susu's shoulder, whispering in her ear, "It seems you really don't like me anymore."

Susu's lips curved slightly: "You already know that, so why did you come to Shenzhen?"

Xin Che didn't argue with her, but his arm tightened slightly: "Can't you be a little nicer to me?"

The two of them took a taxi back to Susu's place. Susu expected that after a week apart, he would want to be intimate with her as soon as they entered the door, as usual. But this time, Xin Che simply leaned his suitcase against the wall and walked to the sofa to sit down. Susu poured him a glass of water and handed it to him, then sat down beside him.

Xin Che found Susu's push-and-pull behavior increasingly unbearable and got straight to the point: "Can we talk? We're already so far apart. We haven't seen each other in five days, and you've only sent me one message, and it was to find something. If you don't want to continue this, just tell me."

Susu looked at his serious expression and deliberately teased him: "Mmm, I don't want to continue this."

Susu's playful smirk was evident on her face, but Xin Che wasn't in the mood to play along. His expression darkened: "I'll give you two choices now—either tell me what's bothering you, or I'll carry you into the room right now."
