Susu sat on the bed, hugging her knees, looking at the empty room, her heart feeling just as hollow. Soon, she received a bank transfer from Chen Ming, with only a few words in the memo: "Don't move out yet, just live here like it's your own home." Susu was about to break up, yet Chen Ming was still thinking about her just starting her work, worried she wouldn't have enough money.
A wave of sadness washed over Susu. She began to wonder if she was being too impulsive. Feeling uncertain, she sent a message to Xiao Fei: "Chen Ming and I broke up."
The phone call came almost simultaneously. Xiao Fei's voice was agitated: "Susu, are you crazy? Chen Ming loves you so much, has a great future, and a good family background. You're breaking up with him? For that old man who already has a girlfriend?"
Susu was already annoyed, and being yelled at made her even more irritable. "Yes, I'm crazy. That old man is my medicine. Are you satisfied now?"
Xiao Fei calmed her emotions. "You'll regret losing Chen Ming one day."
Susu had thought she had fallen in love with Xin Che, but after Chen Ming left, she often felt lonely. She even had thoughts of reconciling with him several times. However, Chen Ming seemed to have vanished—even though Susu was still living in his house, he never returned. Susu's heart wavered back and forth, becoming increasingly confused about what she truly wanted.
During this time, she had not actively contacted Chen Ming, nor had she deliberately approached Xin Che. Instead, some opportunities at work led to her having some contact with Xin Che. One Evening in early November, Susu was working overtime at the Company when she received a message from Xin Che. After replying to his work-related questions, she found some courage and, a few minutes later, sent another message: "What are you doing?"
After a while, he replied: "Having dinner with a client."
Another half hour passed, and he sent a message: "Are you home yet?"
Susu replied: "Still working overtime at the Company."
A few minutes later, Xin Che called: "Can you leave now? I'm near the Company, I can give you a ride home."
Susu agreed. As she got into Xin Che's car, she felt nervous being alone with him for the first time, her demeanor a bit unnatural. They chatted casually about work and recent events. Xin Che, being an experienced man in relationships, naturally noticed that this pretty young girl had a crush on him.
Xin Che and his girlfriend Ji Xiaoran had been together for ten years. During this decade, he had many romantic encounters, but each time he managed to extricate himself, conclude things properly, and return to Ji Xiaoran's side. He always felt that Ji Xiaoran was the woman he truly loved—she was radiant and elegant, came from a very good family background, was ambitious in her career, and was also tolerant of him.
Ji Xiaoran had also been working in the Finance industry for many years. She was accustomed to superficial relationships and never paid much attention to Xin Che's occasional rumors of infidelity. She could feel that his heart was always with her—after all, he had pursued her with all his might for four years in college.
A few days later, Xin Che asked Susu to have dinner. As they left the Restaurant, he whispered ambiguously in her ear: "Want to come to my place to watch a movie?"
Susu smiled and did not refuse.
In Xin Che's underground garage, after they got out of the car, he held her hand for the first time. Susu's cheeks instantly burned, so hot she dared not look at him.
After entering the house, Xin Che asked her: "What movie do you want to watch?"
Susu shrugged: "Anything is fine."
He casually put on a movie from a few years ago—Love in the Buff—and placed two bottles of water on the coffee table. He leaned back on the Sofa next to her, sitting side-by-side. Just a few minutes into the movie, he moved closer to Susu and pulled her into his embrace. At first, he just kissed her forehead. Seeing that she didn't refuse, he moved to her cheek, and then kissed her lips. It was the first time he had been so intimate with her, and Susu's heart couldn't help but race as she responded shyly.
He wasn't in a hurry and kissed her for a long time. Seeing her becoming more and more aroused, he softly asked, "Want to go to the room?"
Susu lowered her eyes and nodded slightly.
Xin Che picked her up, moved, and then gently set her down. He leaned in close, his breath brushing against her neck and ears, his hands roaming over her body. When his fingers touched the fabric of her clothes, Susu's face instantly flushed with embarrassment. His fingers were the most slender and beautiful man's fingers she had ever seen. After just a few touches, she was already struggling to resist.
