As Arthur was in Ava’s embrace, the woman herself looked over at Ella who was slowly running out of time.
Due to the process being interrupted in the middle, she wasn’t completely transformed and the blood itself acted as a genuine venom killing her instead, after all the transformation process needed someone to guide it with their intent.
"Wake up soon Arthur, your little sister is waiting for you. I’m waiting for you....too." Her gentle husky voice was transmitted through the broken room with no one to hear it.
Anyway, after a while, suddenly Arthur’s body twitched in her embrace making Ava looked at him with anticipation at him. Though her plan to make him her husband failed, she was okay with him being of the same race as her.
She was already holding herself back from pouncing on him, too many times that even her time alone playing with her ’little sister’ wasn’t enough. She wanted him, she desired him with all her being.
So, she waited for him to wake up.
His fingers twitched and moved before his whole body twitched harder as if possessed by something before it all came to a sudden stop.
Then—
He opened his eyes showed an even rarer color than before. Rather than pink and purple, it now had a deep shade of red to them making him look both so beautiful in a strange way and intimidating that you wouldn’t dare look at him in the eyes.
His skin turned pale like a dead person at a very visible rate before a deep and strong heartbeat was being heard.
BA-DUM!
BA-DUM!
BA-DUM!
The sound immediately startled Ava and made look serious and alarmed.
’This is strange, a vampire shouldn’t have a heartbeat as they are basically dead!’ She said to herself as she looked at Arthur who looked at her with those enigmatic eyes that pulled her in immediately.
He was definitely a vampire, but having such a strong and deep heartbeat was out of norm.
It shouldn’t have happened!
But to Arthur himself, his head was mostly empty with only one thought echoing inside him.
’I’m thirsty.’
He wasn’t just only thirsty, but also hungry that a whole family meal wouldn’t be enough for him to feel saturated.
But he didn’t desire any kind of human food but wanted....blood.
He wanted it, desired it so bad.
And Ava, who was an experienced vampire here, knew what he felt right away.
But before she could say a word or do anything, he moved and pushed her on the floor with eyes looking at her, especially at her neck, with deep thirst and hunger.
She understood what he was going through and was ready for it long ago.
After all, she was already planning to turn him into a vampire but was waiting for the opportunity.
And it was right here in front of her very eyes.
"Though I’d like to have some good time together, we still need to save your sister, so get a grip Arthur." As Ava said, Arthur regained a bit of his sanity as he stopped and glanced at his sister who was on the verge of death.
"Yeah, you need to save her, so—" She revealed her delicious neck to him making him gulp a mouthful of saliva before a pair of sharp fangs extended while his eyes glowed dangerously.
"Drink my blood then go save her, after that, I will have you for myself~" Her voice sounded sensual yet serious at the same time but Arthur didn’t care and immediately lowered his face into her neck before sinking his sharp fangs into her neck.
"Ahhhhn~" Ava moaned as to vampires, drinking from the neck is so pleasurable and intimate like the act of having sex.
That’s why she released such an alluring sound.
Then she felt him drinking her blood greedily like someone who was thirsty for years making her sigh in pleasure and happiness as half of her plan was achieved.
The other half would need another time, or not as in the next moment, Ava felt something that shocked her to the core.
’No way, he is....he is trying to make me his!!!’ She screamed inwardly as she could feel her DNA submitting to him like a dutiful wife, then a connection began to take form.
This was the same thing Ava was going to do but failed due to his DNA being superior to her for some reason.
Though she should be happy, she was more shocked than that.
But what Arthur was doing wasn’t in the normal way, he wasn’t just making her DNA submit to him like how vampires do, but something so special, something no sane vampire would do even in a hundred or thousands of years to come.
And Ava could feel it very clearly, a very special connection that ran so deep to the...soul.
After all, she was the one connected to him.
’He is making a soul marriage!! Oh my god, Arthur!’
Though it wasn’t the time for that, but Arthur was doing it on instinct not consciousness as if something inside was guiding him to do it.
After three or five minutes, Arthur retracted his fangs from her now bloody neck before giving a final lick to it then moved immediately to his sister who looked paler than before, and without hesitation, he sank his sharp fangs into her neck continuing the process from where it was left unfinished to save her life. After all, she was his top priority.
But at this moment, Arthur wasn’t moving consciously, but on instinct acting according to his true desire.
The one he had hidden so deep inside him that he didn’t know it existed.
After another five minutes, he pulled back his fangs and licked her neck clean before stepping back falling on his bottom on the floor looking dazed.
But soon he regained his consciousness and clarity as his dazed eyes became clear.
"Ugh! What happened?!" He wondered as he felt a sudden headache hitting his head out of the blue before he looked around him and remembered his fight with John and what came afterwards when he was trying to find a way to save his sister.
But after that, his memories became blurry for some reason.
However, as he remembered his sister, his eyes widened and immediately looked at her body that was still pale as if she was dead.
He immediately felt as if the world turned grey in front of him, but then—
"Huff...don’t worry, she is fine, just let her rest for a bit and she will wake up soon."
He heard the melodious voice of Ava coming from the side coupled with a slightly heavy breath.
Looking at her, Arthur felt dazed for a moment before he snapped out and came to her to inquire about what she had just said.
"What do you mean? Her skin is so pale and I couldn’t even feel her heartbeat!" He looked nervous yet disoriented at the same time as if something was out of place inside him, he couldn’t determine.
"Calm down, it’s normal for a vampire to have a pale skin and no heartbeat whatsoever, after all vampires are basically dead."
As she said so, Arthur suddenly felt calm as if he had believed her words without question which even surprised him as he was always a cautious and calculating person.
’What is happening to me?’ He wondered.
"Let’s take her to the bed or something, you know the place is wrecked and she won’t feel comfortable waking up surrounded by all of this."
Arthur released deep breath to calm down his aching and nervous yet weird mind before he took his sister in his arms and moved to the bedroom in the second floor.
It was his own one by the way.
While Ava was walking right behind him already feeling the deep connection she now had with him very clearly.
Though he didn’t because he was feeling disoriented and confused, just give him some time to get used to things.
Once he put Ella into the bed, he sat beside her waiting for her to wake up.
And during that, he needed to get some answers to some questions he had since he had waken up.
