Scarlet`s blood-red eyes glowed dangerously as they focused on Arthur while a deep, heavy, and suffocating pressure fell upon him like tidal wave.
Nothing around was affected by the pressure as she was focusing it all on him, which made him feel uncomfortable as he took a full toll on him.
His breathing became heavy while his body trembled a little while his heartbeat increased at an alarming rate.
And Scarlet could see it in his eyes and face, that he felt uncomfortable as it was difficult for him to endure such pressure.
After all, he was still new to all of this, and his body wasn’t like a super powerful being from the get-go.
This made Ella so worried, but she couldn’t speak as just one look from Scarlet made her shut up like an obedient kitten. She had no say in this.
While the maids didn`t look at all nervous by what was happening as if it was normal.
But Ava, who was in Scarlet`s embrace, was dead nervous and worried about him.
"Mom, what the fuck are you doing?!!"
"You should shut your little mouth up, Ava, or else you won`t like what I will do." Scarlet threatened her rebellious daughter while keeping her in her embrace while glaring at Arthur with eyes filled with death and killing intent.
"Just, what are you?" She could see it, he wasn`t normal by any means for a vampire.
Despite being a vampire, he had a beating heart and fair skin like normal humans, but from his scent and the soul link between him and her daughter, she could see that he was a vampire.
"What did you do my silly daughter? You made a soul marriage with someone that completely defied the natural order."
Scarlet knew that she couldn`t kill him as it would mean her daughter`s death as well, and she wouldn`t be able to do that which made her frown deepen.
But to Arthur, he felt really confused by all of what was happening, one moment everything was normal when he was going to meet his mother-in-law, but in the next moment was met by such killing intent from the same mother-in-law while asking him what he was.
’I would gladly tell you if I knew.’ He said inwardly.
He himself had been searching for anything that explained his strange eyes and the dreams he had been having since he was young.
Yeah, he was having strange dreams that he didn`t anything about, they weren’t nightmares or any normal dream, but something he couldn’t explain himself.
"Haah..."
Arthur released a deep breath as he was fed up with all of this, he didn’t like it.
His eyes suddenly glowed in a very dangerous way before the room suddenly trembled.
This made Scarlet on alert along with the maids who were ready to attack any moment.
Then they heard it.
A voice so deep that felt like it came from the deepest parts of hell.
"That is enough."
Just these words sent shivers down the spine to everyone in the room, it made them feel as if some ancient being was looking at them, then darkness swallowed the whole place.
Scarlet, Ava, Nadia, Myne, and Ella. All of them were swallowed by the darkness.
No voice could be heard or came out; they couldn’t sense anything at all as if they had been cut out of the world and went into another dimension.
’What the hell is this?!!’ Scarlet exclaimed inwardly as she was feeling goosebumps through all her body and they never stopped at all.
’Oh it`s happening again. Fuck! Why did you have to provoke him, mom!’ Ava screamed inwardly as she could remember that time when she saw this, and she never wanted to see it again in her entire life.
Both maids were the same, they didn`t understand anything of what had just happened at all.
’Brother,’ while Ella could only wish her brother was okey in her heart.
Then, from this void of darkness, a pair of pink/purple eyes with a deep shade of red around the pupils opened.
Those eyes took a large area of space due to their size making them look like the eyes of a real ancient being that came out of some cosmic horror story.
All of them looked up at it except one who looked down and didn’t dare to look up at them at all.
But once Scarlet looked at those eyes, they looked back at her with intense glare.
She shivered before her breathing quickened, then she felt it, her sanity being eaten away bit by bit, so slowly that it felt agonizing.
It was pure torture as she could see themــــــ

Blood.
Gore.
And MADNESS.
All of that was for her to see, only her saw all of this while the other two maids only felt a very heavy pressure that made down on their knees unable to look up.
While Ella, she felt.... nothing.
She was just looking at those eyes feeling mesmerized by them.
’So beautiful.’
All of that happened in a moment that felt like hours to Scarlet.
But as it came, the eyes closed by themselves.
"Don`t mess with what you can`t see. This is a warning."
Then the deep chilling voice came out again before the darkness disappeared as if it didn’t exist.
"Thank god it ended." Ava released a sigh of relief as she patted her ample chest.
’What was that?!’ Nadia asked inwardly as she stood up. Everything that had just happened was out of her imagination.
"Lady Scarlet!" Myne then exclaimed as she Scarlet on the floor breathing heavily with those scenes still playing in her head like a broken record.
But hearing the voice of her maid, she snapped out and regained her composure
"I`m fine." She said as she stood up and sat on the couch again releasing a deep sigh with a mix of relief and hint of fear that no one could notice.
Ava looked at her mother for a moment making sure she was fine before she went to Arthur and hugged him tightly while burying her face into his chest,
Her hands clenched onto his shirt so hard as if afraid of something, but Arthur put his big warm hand on her head before he started caressing her long silky black hair making her grip loosen a little while her tensed body relaxed against him.
’He is still him.’ She said to herself.
Ella came and hugged him as well after seeing that he was okay.
"Everything is okay, don`t worry." His soothing voice sounded making them relax more against him while closing their eyes.
The atmosphere was calm right now.
But then, Scarlet looked at Arthur with a calmer gaze than before.
"Sit, we need to talk."
This could only make him sigh before, along with the two girls in his arms, he sat on the soft comfortable couch opposite to her while Nadia and Myne stood behind Scarlet with straight backs like two silent guardians than maids.
"Now that`s better than before, don`t you think so?"
