A new chapter is up.
Come in, get comfortable, and let’s see what kind of trouble waits this time ❤️ ✦ The Tyrant moved too fast for the naked eye to track.
Aiming became impossible.
Most bullets only cut empty air.
The few rounds that struck were forced back out by the creature’s monstrous regeneration.
Without heavy firepower, ordinary humans had no business fighting something like that.
They could not even interfere.
The only person who might have been able to stop it was Tony in the Iron Man armor.
But Tony?
His attention was trapped inside the Red Queen’s network.
JARVIS, the operating core of his armor, was clashing with her processing power.
He could not spare enough control for the suit.
That was exactly why the Red Queen had thrown the Tyrant at him.
Without JARVIS assisting him, Tony could not draw out the suit’s full power.
A high-tech armor without its operating intelligence was like a rifle with no ammunition.
“Without those weapons, he can’t fight a Tyrant…” “That’s the company’s ace bio-weapon.” Shade’s heart fell.
They were finished.
If Tony kept JARVIS on the Red Queen, he would die to the Tyrant.
If JARVIS returned to the armor, the Red Queen would recover and command the zombie horde again.
Natasha, buried in that swarm, would die first.
One choice meant immediate death.
The other meant slow suicide.
It was a dead end.
“Cheap bastard, going for a sneak attack?” “Iron Man is in danger!” “That thing is disgusting.
It waited until he was busy.
Fight him when he’s done with the Red Queen if you’ve got the nerve.” “No.
Our hero can’t fall here.” The spectators outside erupted.
Tony had announced himself as Iron Man to the entire world.
For many people, he had already become an idol, a hero.
Watching him get ambushed by that filthy thing was more than they could stand.
Then someone asked the question nobody wanted to say aloud.
“If they fail, does the apocalypse really happen?” “If they fail to shut down that program and the virus leaks, does the whole world get infected?” The live comments went silent.
By now, most people had begun accepting that the invaded world was real.
The deaths, the agents, the mercenaries, the alien technology of the Hive.
None of it looked like a movie.
It was too real for a hacker to fake.
This was another world.
And once the word apocalypse became real, the jokes died.
…
At Kamar-Taj, Mordo looked toward the Ancient One.
“That world…” “Is it doomed?” Even he did not see a way out.
He asked only because instinct wanted to resist despair.
“Not so easily.” The Ancient One shook her head.
She did not understand that other world, and the Eye of Agamotto could not predict its future.
But she trusted the man she had seen in the possible futures.
Iron Man.
A mortal body, standing beside gods.
He would not fall in a place like this.
More than that, Tony’s face did not show fear.
“Heh.” “Don’t underestimate me.” Even with a Tyrant staring him down, Tony still swept his gaze across the battlefield.
The dead silence did not make him back down.
It made him smile.
The playboy grin returned to his face.
The Iron Man armor had lost much of its power without JARVIS, but there was still no fear in him.
If anything, all those doubtful stares lit a fire under him.
“So after all that trash, a mini-boss finally shows up?” His familiar trash talk rang out.
Tony launched himself forward.
Sneak attack?
Attacking while he was busy?
He was Tony Stark.
“Being ugly isn’t a crime.” “Coming out here and making the rest of us look at you is.” The Tyrant roared, rancid breath spilling from its jaws.
“Aww.
Hairball’s upset?” Tony twisted his waist, compressed every bit of power through the armor, and drove his right fist forward.
“Let Uncle Tony show you what real strength looks like.” The overexertion twisted his expression, but the blow carried unprecedented force.
The air cracked.
With JARVIS occupied, Tony abandoned the suit’s advanced functions and used the armor like a close-combat shell.
One punch.
One kick.
His speed blurred.
His force tore sharp explosions through the air.
No retreat.
No dodge.
He charged straight into the Tyrant.
In Tony Stark’s dictionary, surrender did not exist.
Then, as countless viewers stared in shock, the impossible happened.
Iron Man was beating the Tyrant down.
The spectators had expected a one-sided fight.
They were right.
They had only chosen the wrong winner.
Tony’s fists fell faster and faster, hammering mutated flesh into the floor.
Brutal power kept the Tyrant from even lifting its head.
Umbrella’s ace bio-organic weapon was being suppressed in public by raw physical strength.
