A new chapter is up.

Come in, get comfortable, and let’s see what kind of trouble waits this time ❤️ ✦ [Recruitment in progress…] [Recruitment complete.] [Deploying: Jackie Chan Adventures.] [Coordinates: San Francisco, California.] Cold text appeared again.

On a crowded street, a tall, broad-shouldered man appeared.

There was an almost old-fashioned sincerity about him, the kind that made people want to trust him on sight.

In his hand was a round shield painted in red, white, and blue.

“Captain America?” “He’s the one recruited this time?” Nick Fury quickly confirmed the candidate.

“Unlike Natasha, it looks like the Captain entered alone.” Fury was excited, though disappointment tempered it.

Their new ace, Natasha Romanoff, had not entered with Captain America.

Otherwise, the two of them might have steamrolled the mission.

A real shame.

“Director.” “The Captain is strong too.” Coulson seemed to notice the regret in Fury’s eye, and his expression turned a little strange.

“He is,” Natasha said with a nod.

“Captain Rogers’s body is far beyond ordinary human limits.

He has already formed the rough outline of one Rokushiki technique.” As the only successful super-soldier and the Avengers’ righteous muscle, Captain America’s physical ability was beyond doubt.

“He has already started grasping it?” Fury was a little surprised.

With everything else happening, he truly had not had time to notice.

Still…

The Captain had only recently awakened from the ice.

Modern technology was still unfamiliar to him.

Being dropped alone into a modern city put S.H.I.E.L.D.

at a disadvantage.

If Natasha had been chosen, her skills as an elite agent would have let her move through an urban environment like water.

Fury’s jaw tightened.

…

On the broadcast, San Francisco filled the screen.

“I’ve been recruited?” Captain America stepped out of the golden light and looked around at the unfamiliar city.

His name was Steve Rogers.

America had turned him into a symbol for eighty years after his plane went down in the ice.

He had only recently awakened.

Not receiving a proper retirement was bad enough.

Then Fury found him, pulled him into S.H.I.E.L.D., and put a World War II veteran back to work.

That hardly felt fair.

Today was even stranger.

He had been at home trying to learn modern technology and adapt to a world that had moved on without him.

Then a golden beam dropped from above and swallowed him.

After the world spun, everything changed again.

Looking at the unfamiliar modern city, Steve reached a simple conclusion.

He had crossed worlds again.

“Multiverse invasion?” Steve frowned.

With his character, he instinctively resisted the idea of invasion.

Invading another world sounded worse.

But judging from Tony and Natasha’s previous experience, there might be danger here.

His nerves tightened.

His right hand locked around the shield, ready to strike the moment something went wrong.

The wariness of a World War II soldier had sunk into his bones.

The horror of the biohazard crisis had left a deep impression on him.

A single virus leak had nearly turned humanity into the undead and pushed civilization toward collapse.

With that lesson fresh in mind, even a city that looked safe could not make him careless.

“According to Coulson’s survival guide…” “If I want to live in a city, I should probably get some local money first.” Just as Steve was considering finding a construction site to earn local currency while blending in, the system finally arrived late.

[Ding.] [Special location entered: Chinatown.] [Main Mission: Collect the Talismans.] [Darkness in the shadows is about to awaken.

A sealed statue is stirring.

Evil is spreading.

The twelve talismans, each containing mysterious power, have been scattered across the world.

The balance of good and evil is about to shift.

Choose the faction you will help, then assist that faction in collecting the Twelve Talismans.] [Reward: Unknown.

Rewards will be settled according to mission participation.

Upon mission completion, participants return to their original world.

Death during the mission will leave the participant permanently trapped in the anchored world.] [Current Progress: Talismans collected 0/12.] [Faction: None.] [Points: 0.] “It sounds like I’m only collecting objects.” Steve scratched his head, confused.

“But if this is a treasure hunt, why do I need to choose a faction?” The system panel expanded outward into a map.

Several points of light flashed across it.

Steve did not know what those lights meant yet, so he decided to investigate the closest one first.

While he moved carefully, the outside world erupted.

“Collect talismans?

No wonder the world is called Jackie Chan Adventures.

So it’s an adventure treasure hunt.” “Come on.

I thought it would be something major.

Urban treasure hunting?

I’d rather watch a survival show.” “The last world was better.

Biohazard sounds exciting by itself.” “Maybe the system ran out of ideas.” “Who wants to watch a treasure hunt?

How can this possibly beat the T-virus crisis?” Disappointed voices kept rising.

Expectations had been high, and that made the letdown hit harder.

Then one line drifted across the comment feed and detonated the crowd.

“Has anyone else noticed that this guy looks like Captain America?” In the real world, a fan holding a Captain America poster stared between the broadcast and the image in his hands.

The resemblance was impossible.

That single comment set off a wave.

The live chat exploded so hard the broadcast nearly froze.

“Director!” “Online reactions are getting bigger.

Should we notify the Security Council and lock down the news?” Coulson hurried over, wiping sweat from his forehead.

A dead hero had walked into reality.

The spiritual symbol America had promoted for decades was alive before the world’s eyes.

A living American ideal.

The impact would have been front-page history if the invasion system had not already changed the world.

“Lock it down?” Fury shook his head.

“No.

Guide the narrative.” The news about Captain America could not be hidden.

What concerned Fury more were the other recruits.

This time, S.H.I.E.L.D.

could not possibly be the only side selected.

Faction choice did not look like something one or two people could handle.

Fury rubbed his bald head, painfully aware of his own luck.

“Huh?” “Why does the other recruit look like an idiot?” While Fury considered the implications, Coulson’s eyes suddenly widened at the screen.
